Endgame Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Believe me, I have been mercilessly pushing them to fight that archdemon. Think of all the overpowered drops! No, we kinda wanna get out of the school. Quote
Zepher Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Psh, no moral body can hold a demon! Just have it rip through anyway. Quote
Endgame Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) Psh, no moral body can hold a demon! Just have it rip through anyway. Shush, you! Besides, Jonah clearly has no morals. Edited July 7, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Zepher Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 It's always been funny to me that morality and mortality are such similar words because our mortality is exactly what makes morality so challenging. Quote
Actaeon Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 It's always been funny to me that morality and mortality are such similar words because our mortality is exactly what makes morality so challenging. Let's take a moment to all acknowledge how profound this sentence is. Quote
Flipz Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Gah, exposition city! At least with this third draft I managed to simplify it somewhat. Quote
Actaeon Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Am I the only one that finds it really difficult to understand Count Shadeaux? In #104, if the other members do not contact you within 72 hours, what happens? Quote
Duvors Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Gah, exposition city! At least with this third draft I managed to simplify it somewhat. Actually it wasn't any more expositiony than normal. Quote
Myrddyn Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 *Blind! 12 rounds remaining!* I think blinding an already blind target just resets the rounds remaining, rather than adding to them. It doesn't make a difference here, since the assassin's getting hit each round anyway, but it might come up in a future battle or something. Also, what I said earlier about Special 1 k/o'ing the target with poison... actually, it wouldn't, because everyone's blessed. Quote
Flipz Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 *Gibbs-slaps Khorne and Zepher* You should be ashamed of yourselves, tormenting a poor low-level Mage like that. (At least Zepher had the decency to actually increase his HP on level-up, even though he ignored Ether half the time. ) Quote
Zepher Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I didn't know Khrone and I were working together to torment someone, but I'm sure we're doing a good job of it if we are. Quote
Flipz Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 41 and 45. Fortunately for Siercon, he got one of the more OCD QMs when it comes to stats. Quote
Sandy Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 I think blinding an already blind target just resets the rounds remaining, rather than adding to them. That's right. Effects only last for the rounds mentioned in their description at most, and if the effect is reapplied the rounds just reset. Quote
Khorne Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 *Gibbs-slaps Khorne and Zepher* You should be ashamed of yourselves, tormenting a poor low-level Mage like that. (At least Zepher had the decency to actually increase his HP on level-up, even though he ignored Ether half the time. ) Sorry! I didn't do it on purpose! :cry_sad: Quote
Sandy Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Captain Bartholomew Horningold, and I'm also the captain of one of the Bonapartes' most prestigious vessels, the Princess of the Night. I heard you're looking for transport to Dastan? Perhaps I can be of assistance, Dragonlord?" And here we have a third Bartholomew in the game. What's wrong with perfectly normal fantasy names, like Hymnessamine or Walbartan? Quote
Actaeon Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 And here we have a third Bartholomew in the game. What's wrong with perfectly normal fantasy names, like Hymnessamine or Walbartan? Bartholomew sounds professional? I don't know Quote
Kintobor Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Blame me, he's my character. Although, his name is a reference to a historic individual. Quote
Duvors Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 It is my opinion that Sercon is terrifying, really, he is. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 And here we have a third Bartholomew in the game. What's wrong with perfectly normal fantasy names, like Hymnessamine or Walbartan? Bartholomew sounds professional? I don't know Copycats. In my case it was because I always like my characters to have alliteration and assonance with my username, getting as close as possible while maintaining realism. So I named Docken by looking at a list of medieval given names and surnames, and I tried to pick a name that sound similar to my username, sounded old, and didn't sound too unusual. But I was the first Bartholomew, so I don't have to explain my choice. Quote
Zepher Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I wanted to steal Brickdoctor's name and sow confusion, so I don't really have to explain myself. Quote
Flipz Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 And here we have a third Bartholomew in the game. What's wrong with perfectly normal fantasy names, like Hymnessamine or Walbartan? Sirone Valishter. There's also someone coming up named Velquoriel. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 To be fair, I completely, and utterly stole Flipz's name in 25, totally unconsciously . I only realized when he brought it up. Quote
Flipz Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Hey, B&P, do you expect your Quest to let out before the 12th, or do I need to make arrangements with someone in the Hall to give Mizuki her money? So, Doc, out of curiosity: when you hit Level 50, do you plan to get Barbarian's Boots, Winged Sandals, or something else entirely? Quote
StickFig Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 *Gibbs-slaps Khorne and Zepher* Nice. Khorne and Zepher - which is Timmy and which is Tony? "I have important projects for the Tritech corporation underway that cannot be left unattended for more than a few days." "Yeah, like upgrading the Fireball Extraordinaire," said Matthias. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Hey, B&P, do you expect your Quest to let out before the 12th, or do I need to make arrangements with someone in the Hall to give Mizuki her money? 12th of July? I highly doubt it. Unless this battle is finished quickly and the quest is rapped up, I don't see that happening. There are 2 main ways the quest can go after the battle though, one ending the quest sooner while the other has one last battle. Quote
