This may be a dumb question, but do I need to split the loot with her (Diana)? In character, I would, but I wasn't sure how that would tie in with dynamics, as she is an NPC.

Loot division is up to you as Party Leader.

One of my ideas for a 2nd PC (which I am hoping we get to use soon... Sandy! :sing::laugh: ) will use exclusively throwing weapons as well.

This seems like a cool idea - I think I'm going to make my second character specialize in something or play a certain way, even if it handicaps him/her mechanically. Minmaxing is fun with Hybros, but I also think a more "purist" way of playing would be fun!

In other news, very cool article on the Sheep Tribe, Kinto. I've got to read through the Library topic again - it really is a treasure trove of game lore and info.

Thanks, Jimbee! Sandy more or less said he was using them as a one off, and since I'm nabbing Sorsha as my second character, I figured I might as well write out some backstory and tie it together with a pre-existing NPC; Abbott Watt. I'm hoping to host a quest with them, but it won't be for a while. It'll most likely be after October.

Speaking of October, a I'll state a few of us QM's are working on something to commemorate Halloween. More info to come!

Interesting...I was considering using Hél as mine, actually; I know I want to play a female non-human Rogue, but kept dithering between U'kin, Acerpusculum, and Selkreeth for a while; Nôrns are perfectly non-human, and I don't think we've gotten one since CAT. :sweet:

I'm trying to figure out if Noel's great-aunt (and thus Arthur's) is Zelda or a different Zeigfried--I do want to have that dinner with Valentine and Noel (and that would probably be when he meets Hél), and asking questions about his lineage is obviously going to be part of that.

Fair enough. Also, can an enemy roll a special while free hitting?

No, that's one of the 'benefits' of free-hits. You at least don't risk them getting their special.

Usually not; some enemies do use their Special in place of a Free Hit, but that will always be clearly noted in their stats when that's the case; usually it will look something like:

Note: Uses Special 2 as a Free Hit

If you wanted to play a really non-human character, you could try playing a Zarkonian* (classic LEGO alien race from the first Captain Indigo comic.)

I'd link to an image, but Huw hasn't updated the new Brickset with the Bricks n' Pieces archive - it's basically built as a normal minifig, with a light grey 3026b for a neck, and a light grey 3839a centered on top of that for a head. Can't get too much more non-human than that.

*I think it's Zarkonian. It might be Zarkanian...

Hey Sandy (or anyone else), what torso does Malastor have? I don't seem to recognize it. It looks like a Nazi SS uniform, but I can't seem to think of a theme LEGO would make one of those for. Or is it a custom one?

Haven't read the quest or seen the NPC, but there were Nazi 'figs for the Indiana Jones sets.

It almost seems like a Star Wars torso...

Actually, on that subject, what are the torso and legs of Hél? I believe I can get the head easily enough.

This one took a while to dig up (I really should stop obsessing over things like this ), but it's Red Skull from 76017 Captain America vs Hydra. So the Nazi SS part was sort of right.

The legs are a bit difficult to see, but the torso is Bellatrix Lestrange from 4840 The Burrow.

On that note, what head does Syrio have? It looks Star-Warsy; like Anakin and a purple jellybean had a baby.

Umbaran soldier from 75013 Umbaran MHC.

Hél's legs are part 3678bpb015*, from either the Medieval Market Village or Day 16 of the 2010 Castle Advent Calender.

*There are only a few decorated black dress pieces, and 3678bpbb015 is the only one with the square-angled bits of white trim at the top.

You're thinking of Drucilla. I should know, I've been with her for six months.

Hél's legs are from the new Castle Wizard, I believe. He comes in the set with the Dragon. :classic:

You're right...Next time I'll make sure to read the quest listing so that I'm not identifying the wrong person...

On a more happier note, I wonder if anyone has used the Castle Wizard's torso for any NPCs or PCs yet - quite fancy.

I hope you tell me of your plans in advance, as well.

Noel is talking about Zelda, of course, but she's only his great-aunt by marriage. Valentine is Zelda's husband Fahrenheit Ziegfried's niece, and thus Zed Ziegfried's (much younger) cousin.

I've got the Ziegfried family tree written up, but I don't want to publish it because I want to keep it as a subject to change.

What the others said. I have over 1600 minifigs in my current collection, plus a plethora of loose parts, so I get to mix & match to my heart's content.

*oh2*

Being that mixing and matching minifig parts is one of my favourite things to do with my LEGO pieces, that is something to die for.

I've got around the same in mine. One of my favorite parts about your quests is seeing all of the ingenious figbarfs.

I know - one of my favorite things about reading through old quests is seeing all of the brilliant color combinations QMs have come up with.

Question about weapons:

I know that I have to pay a binding fee for each individual gem I bind to a weapon, but is there a limit to how many can be bound at one time? And if there isn't, do opposing gems cancel each other out(Like a Ruby(Fire Element) against an Aquamarine(Water Element))?

Also, can Adimantium and Mythril be present at the same time on a weapon, and if so, do the stats stack?

I'm really starting to have fun with the playing cards idea, and was dreaming about having an Mythrilized, Adimantium-tipped, gem-encrusted Ethereal Deck...

You can only bind one gem of each type to a single weapon. Opposing strengths and weaknesses of each gem cancel out - if you have a Ruby and an Aquamarine gem you'll do only normal damage to fire-type enemies. You can't have Adamantium and Mythril in the same weapon.

Hey all!

I'm happy to announce that my next quest pitch, going up (hopefully, if Sandy is pleased with it :laugh: ) in a day or two will be a Hybros Quest, just like 92 served as a Tarn Quest. I think it's gonna be a fun one, and will be short and sweet in the same way (though maybe more lore packed). Just wanted to give a heads up, like I did for the Tarn one, so that no one is surprised with what they get into. If you want to go on the Hybros Quest but are afraid that you will be pushed to the side, ask Flipz or Pala what it was like, I'm sure they'll be honest with you (and hopefully me if there are things I need to improve!).
