Just so he won't die too much when an enemy sneezes.

Been there, died that.

Well I'd be willing to, actually.

Hmmmmm.... how much will it cost me? No really, I'm quite interested.

Sorry 102!

Sorry 102ers....

Get some sleep, Zeph. We can wait a few hours for the parade down memory lane to continue.

I'd be willing to lend it to you for a month or two, free of charge.

Ummm Lind Whisperer, where did you get this from?!

Ooc: My new weapon is a Darker Ethereal Deck(Playing Cards) (WP:5, throwing weapon).

Am I missing something or did you just make up a new weapon and put it in your inventory

We'll have to figure out a way to RP this once Quest #102 finishes. :excited: Expect a PM. :cannon:

Kintobor, when Karie is in the hall, does she have a white face or a regular yellow one? Clearly this will strongly effect the way Pretzel will respond to her.

Also, I assume she's not wearing her dress.

She was applying white makeup while in the hall, so I'd say white.

What is the 'Amphibianoc's Blessing' that Romulus' Staff of the Frog Paladin grants?

Also is it just me or does there seem to be very few staff drops these days? I think the last staff I got from a fight was the Staff of Light that Flare dropped in #42.

I also think a wiki would be incredibly useful, but Sandy has stated that he wants everything on one site (that site being Eurobricks, considering this is a game based on that). The NPC index would be infinitely easier to update with a Wiki as well, but I understand why Sandy has taken the stance he has.

The game has bloated since I stated that, so I'm not against a wiki, but I don't have the energy to start one myself. Updating a wiki is also a huge job, especially with a game as large as this, so if people want to start one, I hope they commit to updating it as well.

The benefit of a Wiki would be that we could ALL update it! I don't know how to start one, but I do know how to update one, so if someone would want to take that first step, I am leaving for vacation today, so will have some extra time to burn!

No you don't! The NPC Index is seriously lagging behind! *whiplash*

Well, with a wiki, we'd transfer things over there.

I've already spoken to the troubles of the NPC index. It's just too ungainly, and I've tried reorganizing it a few times. I can't figure out a way to make it easy to surf/edit while still fitting everyone in. A wiki would be easy - the names could be alphabetized, but it would a) not crash the server b) be extremely easy to update and c) anyone could update it.

I'm being sincere, if someone wants to start a Heroica RPG wiki, be my guest!

Here's the logo for the header, too:

Is anyone going to write one of those "character development" things for #93 in the Quest Master's Lounge? I'd do but I am incapable of writing a good wall of text.

I understand why some people might want a wiki for this game, but after having some personal experience with them in the past, I'd advise against it.

The whole point of Heroica is to have fun. Now, although having a more in-depth index of everything would be very good to have as a reference, that benefit in and of itself is going to be the downfall. Eventually, people are going to get to the point where they are physically making out maps of quests, and where those quests went, how long they were, and sooner or later, the numbers aren't going to work. And then, people will start saying that "this bit of the quest didn't really happen", etc. It may take a bit before this result happens, but it would and will turn this game from a fun, role-playing experience, to a really, really tightly-bound game, in which QMs have to work above and beyond to make sure they "stick to canon", and "don't break any previously set rules."

I know I'm coming off as a bit of a wet blanket here, but I'm only being that way because of how wonderful this game is, and how easily a wiki could ruin that.

Instead of a wiki, I suggest that we elect a few people* to read over all of the quests, and carefully log all races mentioned, artifacts, monsters, etc., and then we give the Library, Embassy, Bestiary, Treasury, and Archives a massive overhaul, which will not only avoid any of the problems caused by a wiki, but would solve almost all of the specified ones**.

*I couldn't do it all on my own, but I could almost certainly read through several.

**If Sandy were to create a category for NPCs, then that would solve any left over problems and concerns.

Thing is those get out of date really easily and they're super hard for one person to manage.

That's what we've already been doing, and it's just too much for individuals to handle.

I'd be willing to manage a wiki, the only potential issue is actually the logo/use of the Heroica name (I'm not sure if Wikia violates the LEGO fair play guidelines, and I'm even less sure about other common wiki hosts).

Excellent point. That's why I'm suggesting that we set up an official team of people to do it, on a regular basis. Once the original over haul is complete, then it shouldn't require very much work to maintain it, especially if we assign one person to each role.

That's what we've already been doing, and it's just too much for individuals to handle.

I understand that it'd be a huge amount of work to cover the the missing quests, but we'd be doing that exact same amount of work to start a wiki, and more. I know that alone, or even with only a few people, this could easily be an overwhelming task load, but if we get the initial catch-up done, and one person per category consistently updates(and I mean consistently), this will just as well, and almost better than a wiki*.

*Not to mention, wikis are awful for RPing. It's one thing to log into, say, the Library over here, and ask a question - people will see it and respond. But on a wiki? You have to hope that someone's checking the activity feed, and that they know the answer to your question, whereas over here, the whole front(and only) page of the game lists your question right on it**.

**Well, not right on it, in the feed stream, but the point stands.
