Sandy Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Little curious; who has the highest SP in the game right now, and how much do they have? Why don't you scroll through the Statistics topic and find out yourself? Sarge must be pretty high on that list, though. Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) That's what I'm doing right now; I had just hoped someone might already know. edit: It's Pretzel in the back row with 32, but Hoke otherwise with 30. I'm gunning for your spots. Watch out. My SP'll be through the roof before long. Edited July 23, 2014 by emjajoas Quote
swils Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Once Arthur gets his great rep with the Shadeaux... Good luck! :P Quote
UsernameMDM Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Once Arthur gets his great rep with the Shadeaux... Good luck! :P Yeah, that artefact is pretty awesome. Wonder how Hoke can talk him out of it. Quote
swils Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Well whatever way he manages it, should he ever, "over Thormy's dead body" will be a pretty integral part of it! Heh Quote
UsernameMDM Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Well whatever way he manages it, should he ever, "over Thormy's dead body" will be a pretty integral part of it! Heh Interesting. So I am guessing there was some sort of deal made for the cloak? Quote
Flipz Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 No, that cloak is still mine, Thormy's just wearing it for this Quest since he'll get more out of it. Quote

Palathadric Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 My word, I didn't realize it was SP: 4 at the start. I thought I recall it being SP:1 or 2, but that must have been a weaker version or something. That is devilishly powerful in the right hands. Kintobor, why didn't you take my on your quest? No, really, one of these days I'm going to have to get on one of your quests. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 One of these days, I'll be a Paragon. One of these days... Has anyone reached Paragon yet? And is anyone possibly thinking of selling a Medal of Glory? I know you can get them in the Fields of Glory, but the chances of Fields opening up matching with my not being on a quest don't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon... Quote

No, none of us have reached Level 50 yet. I think Alexis is the highest leveled player at around Level 45. I also think Nur was selling his Medal of Glory, but it'd be a ton of gold. Quote
Palathadric Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Eric shuffled closer to Althior and bowed somewhat to he was on equal eye height with the necromancer. I always imagined Althior very tall and lanky. I guess I was wrong. At the end of the day, most heroes are on eye-level already. Quote
Endgame Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I am on mobile right now, so no character portraits for a bit! Quote

I never really imagined Althior to be super tall, but I was taken aback when Khorne posted it. Althior's tall, but I've always imagined Eric as a full on brute. Quote
Zepher Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Endgame, how are your PCs and NPCs privy to all the interior misconceptions of the characters. How did she pick up from a simple hello that she should establish herself as a Veteran? And yes, absolutely, Eric is surely a hulking monster. Also, I'm with WBD, Eric is awesome. As for Paragon, I think Boomingham will go that route sooner or later. I wanted him to go Necromancer, but the crawl is slow. Paragon is even further away. Quote
Cutcobra Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Paragons and Prophets are simply "meh". If Heckz ever hits 50, he'll go Mime. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I'm going Paragon because I'm trying to play Lind as a "Light" type character. Also, the bio for Paragon lists that they are great strategists, and that seems about right for a Munchkin. Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I like Paragon over Prophet, especially now that I've got a taste for high-SP builds and classes, but as an original Ranger I'll probably be going Mime too (though that might be cool in its own right). Quote

Same here. Prophet's not that interesting when you start at Ranger and then spend 40+ Levels focusing on things other than Ether-based powers, and I like being a Back Row tank too much. Quote
Zepher Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 No, none of us have reached Level 50 yet. I think Alexis is the highest leveled player at around Level 45. The murder squad of the Fields will probably surpass her sooner or later. They have one day battles at this point. Same here. Prophet's not that interesting when you start at Ranger and then spend 40+ Levels focusing on things other than Ether-based powers, and I like being a Back Row tank too much. Yeah, speaking of which, I was surprised that you didn't have the most SP. Are you slipping? Quote

Prophet's not that interesting when you start at Ranger and then spend 40+ Levels focusing on things other than Ether-based powers, and I like being a Back Row tank too much. I can get that. The Prophet is really Mage/Cleric centered, whereas the Paragon is really focused around all three classes that are eligible for it. Ranger seems to be the odd man out, so to speak. Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 If I decide to go Dragoon I'll probably stick with that for the rest of my career, but it means getting Shadeaux rep in before I'm 30. I can probably manage that because I'm a little shy of eighteen, but there'd need to be Shadeaux quests between now and then. Still not quite sure, though. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Yeah, speaking of which, I was surprised that you didn't have the most SP. Are you slipping? Shield upgrades are really expensive for a Warden right now. The serious explanation is that I've focused more on the effectiveness of my SP rather than purely on the amount of SP. I only have one SP-granting artifact, and I gave up 2 SP in order to equip it to get the halved Damage from Free Hits (worth it — thanks, Flipz). I did have a pretty good amount of Gold a few months ago, but I've been investing in my Iris Shield rather than in my Mithril Shield, trying to get that one up to a power where it's useable. Quote
Flipz Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Back in the Chaos days (when I thought Wren was going to win no matter what we did ), I had planned on Arthur going Prophet with Wren as his deity. (Thus the Spirit Pool plot thread). Now, though, I don't ever see him going back to Ether unless he gets Scholar (which I can only see him taking immediately before retirement). I do really really want the chance to take him into Winged Warrior at some point, though--his wings will be awesome. By the way, thanks for pointing out that character flaw of Noctus'--I had hoped someone would pick up on it. Quote
