Brickdoctor Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I can get that. The Prophet is really Mage/Cleric centered, whereas the Paragon is really focused around all three classes that are eligible for it. Ranger seems to be the odd man out, so to speak. Not really. If I had chosen to go Druid or Evoker instead of Warden, then I would've probably focused enough on Ether-based abilities to make Prophet a viable choice. Assassins could really stick with that class forever if they wanted to, and Hunters are Damage-focused enough that Sylvan Ranger isn't a bad choice. Of all the Advanced Class options for Ranger, Warden is really the only one that only leaves you just one good choice for your final class. (But it can be pretty awesome, so I'm not complaining. ) Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 No, none of us have reached Level 50 yet. I think Alexis is the highest leveled player at around Level 45. I am highest level, thanks to Zepher I'm not getting close faster. Quote
Zepher Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Hey, I think the quest has been chugging along at a pretty decent rate. Cut me a break, I'm on vacation! (And I know you're referring to the Medal of Glory. Maybe you should have lent it to a friendly fatter hero since you wouldn't have been using it anyway. ) Quote

The rate is fine. Quote
Zepher Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 No, I know you weren't. I like Alexis a lot by the way. She has come back in force. I think I've mentioned it, but Heroica has beat her and Althior more and more towards amorality to the point that I think they'd now make a pretty good couple. I love the 102 party, since I haven't mentioned it yet. The amorality, with poor, short, under leveled Matthias trying his best to be moral, is just outstanding and a ton of fun to watch. Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Good, I've been trying to actually RP here lately. Glad to see it's somewhat working. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Looking back, did anyone ever confront the Copper Fox about paying some Wolfgang member? Heckz apparently now has magical teleporting powers. Who knew? Quote
Zepher Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It is sometimes difficult to play a quieter character, but I think you're doing a model job! Benji was a great "quieter" character too. Quote
Cutcobra Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Heckz apparently now has magical teleporting powers. Who knew? Mistakes were made... Now, I'll ask in here, did anyone ever confront the Copper Fox about paying some Wolfgang member? Quote
Chromeknight Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I love the 102 party, since I haven't mentioned it yet. It's just she sometimes tends towards a different moral schema. Quote
Sandy Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Now, I'll ask in here, did anyone ever confront the Copper Fox about paying some Wolfgang member? Here's the ending of that quest. Monk Pretzel and Thalion met with Copper Fox at the bar, but they didn't make an actual confrontation about it. The Copper Fox did hint that he had spies among the Wolfgang, though. Quote
Cutcobra Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Now that I think about it... maybe Sheherazade could be working for the Wolfgang... *insert Dun Dun DUUUUN here* Quote
StickFig Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 1000 GOLD Ummmm, can Matthias drop his current quest and take the 1000 gold offer? Nerwen is not amoral, she's strongly principled. One principle being kill all the dwarves, apparently. I love the 102 party, since I haven't mentioned it yet. The amorality, with poor, short, under leveled Matthias trying his best to be moral, is just outstanding and a ton of fun to watch. It has surprised me how hard it has been to play Matthias lately - he's definitely a "moral" character - lawful good necktie, if you will - but he doesn't have a basis of laws to act from, since there is no centralized authority in Eubric/Uland, at least that he's encountered. He's a king's man gnome, for sure, but without an anointed-by-Orrik king to back up, he's a little lost. The meetup with the Watch will be especially difficult, I think, because in Matthias' mind they are the closest thing to an authority that exists. Quote
Duvors Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I wonder how many bombs and consumables I can buy before I leave the city... Quote

He's supposed to be the definition of a lawful good character, but I'm also trying to jokingly play up the Munchkin angle of minor kleptomania*. *Of course, this applies to pretty much any character from a RPing game... Waterbrick Down Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Just in case anyone's hesitant, Quest 108 should be fairly short, 2-3 battles at most. Quote
Khorne Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I always imagined Althior very tall and lanky. I guess I was wrong. At the end of the day, most heroes are on eye-level already. I couldn't recall anything being said about Althior's hight, so I figured him to be of average height, perhaps somewhat bigger. Eric, on the other hand, well, I've always RP'ed him as being really tall, far above average (like 2 meter or maybe even a little bit taller), so that's why I had him bow down somewhat so he'd be on eye-level. I had no clue Althior is of equal stature. Quote
Zepher Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 WBD, you know I want to, but I haven't ever finished a storyline, and I really want to battle Masson. It looks so cool though!! Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) QM Note: From this point on, there are two different quests going on in the same topic. Throlar continues with the original quest while the others are on the Wolfgang quest. One of the quests will succeed while the other one will fail, depending on who gets to the tower first. Nothing prevents from individual heroes to switch quests in the middle of the process, though.. This reminds me of the time Etzel suggested hosting two simultaneous quests to seize a McGuffin for the two of the houses. A party would work against eachother to gain the McGuffin for their house. This is going to be fun. Edited July 24, 2014 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Zepher Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 100 is my favorite Sandy quest so far. I'll just come out and say it. Quote
Palathadric Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 100 is my favorite Sandy quest so far. I'll just come out and say it. I think it's mine too and that's really saying something, because Sandy has had some of the best quests so far. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I don't think it's his best, but it's certainly very good. Quote
Zepher Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 My Best Friend and Brothers and Arms is the only one I'd really rival it with! Though a majority of his quests have been just awesome. Quote
Flipz Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I may be biased, but I actually prefer Quest 66. I think the party-splitting mechanic was really smart, and it allowed us all a lot of meaningful choice but did so in a way that didn't require loads and loads of extra work for him. 34 was really awesome, too, though. Hmm...you know, that is something I've noticed. All of my favorite Sandy Quests seem to be the ones in which he mainly focuses on story and keeps the mechanics to the basics--I guess I see him more as a story QM like Zepher rather than a mechanics QM like Endgame. I wonder what other stereotypes I've unconsciously pigeonholed other QMs into? Anyway, I mentioned choice, so now here's an Extra Credits episode I wish we'd had a long time ago. Quote
