"HA! Didn't take me fer a strategic MASTERmind, DID ye? Anywho, the rumor GOES that the Tower is protected by heavy-duty MAGICS. So we need to take it DOWN with brute FORCE. It just so HAPPENS that there's a BOMBcrafter livin' in Port Taboo. Ye have to CONVINCE him to make a big BLASTER fer ye, then sneak it into the Tower and KABOOM!!!"

Everytime when I read what this guy says, I'm always reminded of Zed from Police Academy, because of the random shouting (caps-lock) in his sentences.

Ranger-Evoker-Necromancer-Sylvian Ranger-Prophet.

Just something that popped into my head due to my contemplations of the similarities between the Evoker, the Necromancer, and the Sylvian Ranger. Does this interest you or do you not care at all?

On another topic, it's a very slow day today isn't it?

Note to self: in the future, have avatars for random citizens ready before starting out. (Well, actually, I knew which ones I was stealing, I just forgot to copy the links into my master index. )

Also, I was suuuuuper tempted to link TV Tropes in that dialogue, but then River Song held me up at banana-point, so unfortunately you guys have to do without.

Quite. At least in the world of Rogues, Knights, Rangers, Clerics and Mages.

In the world of fierce inter-galactic space marketing, it's quite a different story.

No love for Barbarians?

It is sometimes difficult to play a quieter character, but I think you're doing a model job! Benji was a great "quieter" character too.

Thanks, I appreciate it :sweet:

For those curious (or willing to work) the Wiki has continued to expand! Nothing beats reading quests, but a great way to read quests and help out is to read them and then convert the important information from them into a simpler form! Even transferring over the NPC index (something I am in the process of) would help a ton!

I would really love to help, but after a previous addiction to wikis, I really can't let myself - I'll end up spending way too much time on it, and the other, non-LEGO bits of my life will pay for it.

Are we going to be doing Hero pages, as well? That's something everyone could be doing for themselves.

If it would help, I could probably put together a short page for my character, and post it here for re-posting there - of course, though, to properly explain it, I'd have to write a page on the Munchkin race, and then one on the intricacies of the Ethereal Deck, and its meaning to the Munchkins, and then I'd have to either build or draw proper artwork for each...

Something like that would be perfect for the Library topic.

Also, a request for the more artistically-inclined: We could really use some images and icons on the wiki--things like images for the stub template or the "page needs help" or "upcoming content" templates or even the favicon. If you'd like to help, please, by all means do. :sweet:

You could probably leave out the building an artwork for another time, but writing about your race and the ethereal deck is something you should definitely work on, Lind. It'd be a pretty good read, I'm sure.

Also, if I've got time tomorrow, I'll start helping out with the wiki; I can do item pages at the very least and start transfering things from the treasury.

And we're off and running, great to see some inner party conflict in the hall already. I'm aiming for 3 weeks tops on this quest, we'll see how it goes. The wiki is looking fantastic by the way. I haven't had a lot of time to make contributions, but when things quiet up on the calendar perhaps I can put some work in.

The funny thing is I was re-watching the Police Academy movies last week (and some of them this week).

Two questions:

What's the general opinion on where WP should be at, roughly, at Level 40-50? I'm going to need to upgrade my crossbow at some point, but I've ignored it for so long that I don't know where to go with it.

Is there any interest in a Mythril Shield, SP: 20? I asked this hypothetically a year or so ago, but after I leave the Fields, I should be able to upgrade the Iris Shield to the a comparable power, so I'm serious about selling the Mythril Shield. (I'd like to get around 1800-2000 Gold, and I don't mind if you pay some of it later.)

Why the hell are all these villains showing up in the Hall? Is there some reason everybody's not trying to kill him the second the Regret walks inside?? This is getting ridiculous. :sceptic:

Trying not to cause a scene, I imagine. Sand Queen tried it, and The Regret quickly put that to rest. A fight with him in the Hall would've been disastrous - he'd set the entire place ablaze and more or less just leave. Seerus would've threatened similar.

I do/did have planned eventualities if anyone got hostile, but no one tried.

You're missing my point. Villains shouldn't just be able to walk into the Hall whenever they want. It doesn't make any damn sense. To a point I'm getting tired of seeing half the posts in the Hall being some character interacting with an NPC. Isn't Heroica Hall for, well, heroes? Can't you just wait for your quest like everyone else?

It's The Worf Effect meets Invincible Villain (reaction 1, with a high likelihood of reaction 2 as well): the Veterans are powerless to stop them (Worf Effect), and any Heroes who try to do anything can't beat the Invincible Villain.

Regret's a Villain Sue, of course he's not going to make any sense. :sceptic:

I do like it when allied NPCs show up in the Hall (assuming, of course, they're the kind that are with you from the start), it's logical that they'd meet up with the Heroes in the Hall before they head out together (Ratabor Mossycloak, Diana, Masson and Punii, etc.). The villains...not so much. It forces Heroes and Veterans alike to either pick up the Idiot Ball by not attacking or else be essentially forced out of being able to interact with the Hall topic until the villain decides to leave, possibly even putting off major moments they'd spent a long time planning. :sceptic:

I kinda agree with CMP. Having your quest NPC drop by at the Hall is a nice way to introduce them to the players before the quest begins, but it definitely shouldn't be overdone.

Besides, a big bad villain showing up just to flaunt their badness in front of the good guys' faces - and not even trying to hurt them - is kind of a cliché.

I have to agree. It also depreciates the Hall, which is, in my mind, a sort of magical fortress for the heroes, and in particular takes the Veterans down a rung. But to each their own. I also like the occasional friendly NPC in the Hall, but the very occasional.

If it's the guide or whatever to the quest, I don't see much harm in them outlining their character and such for a little bit, sparingly.

I'm quite interested, but I don't think I could equip it as a Rogue...If I went Black Knight, could I equip it then?
