Though from the hints we've been given about advanced classes, the Necromancer (Cleric/Rogue hybrid) sounds appealing. Maybe once they're all revealed after someone reaches level 15, we'll see a change in class choice.

I'm sure we will. At this rate, there'll still be players who haven't quested when the first player reaches Level 15, so they could kill off their character and restart without any ill effects. (if Sandy allowed it) I'm hoping for a Cleric/Ranger or Knight/Ranger combo. Something with health powers.

These are just my thoughts. I'm sure this doesn't apply to all of you  .

It makes sense. Though yeah, I know it doesn't apply to me. I picked Ranger because the Forestman is one of (if not the) favorite minifigs of mine.

I can see it now!

Tarn Valco walked into the great halls of Heroica. He wondered what he could do there. While he was busy reminiscing, A female dwarf came up and kicked him in the shin. She was a cleric. Tarn took out his weapon to fight as a ranger came behind him eating a cow. Just then a Spaniard walked in with his crossbow loaded and shot at the cow. The ranger with the cow stepped back and watched the arrow fly into Tarn. Tarn had an arrow in his back and was somehow okay. Then a crusader walked in randomly and impaled a shruiken into Tarn's head. He was no more. Then the short Cleric grabbed his stuff and kicked him in the shin again. And thus was born Yarn Talco!

I know, I'm a genius playwright.

Also, is there a character progression chart/map/guide anywhere? I'd like to see how classes evolve.

There is, but it won't be revealed until someone hits Level 15 and opens the option to choose an advanced class.

And JimBee, the Cleric/Rogue advanced class is a Witch, not a Necromancer.

Players are allowed to change their characters, but they can only keep one character at a time, and none of the experience and items of the old character can be given to the new character.

All of the advanced classes that are a combination of cleric and another basic class have healing powers. The combos you mentioned are Druid and Warden, respectively.

And with that, half a dozen individuals fell dead within Heroica Hall. By coincidence half a dozen clerics also strutted through the door, but were unfortunately unable to revive any of the deceased.

So the term witch, here, I take is gender-less? Thanks for telling me though, I'm really looking forward to those advanced classes now. :sweet:

That reminds me of a few questions I had regarding item swapping:

- Since you're allowing it between players, could someone sell an item for more than what it would sell for at the shop, but less than for what it would cost to buy at the shop? For example, I gained an elemental gem from quest three, but since Rogues generally have no use for such things, could I sell it to a Mage for 200 gold? I'd be making a profit, and the Mage wouldn't have to spend as much.

- If someone wanted to make a new character, could they, as the old character, give all of their items to hold on to, then the holder would give it back to them as the new character? I'm guessing not, but you never know what someone might do.

*cough, cough* Italian *cough*

Sandy, for the gem rewards for quest 3, I thought only mages could use them, as it says "Mages can enhance their powers blah blah blah blu blah...." So can others use these gems?

Mages use them for spells but if you look at the marketplace, weapons can also be imbued with them. This makes the weapon stronger against the foes that the gem is strong against and weak to the foes that the gem is weak against. But getting a gem doesn't give you the ability to cast spells, it just gives mages a new flavor of spell to cast.

1. Gems cost 100 gold in shops (if you ever find a shop that sells them), but trade between two players is totally up to them. If someone is willing to buy a gem from you at that prize, it's your business. You can also give it away for free, if you want.

2. That is possible, but not encouraged. And in any case, the experience level won't transfer.

Mages use them for spells but if you look at the marketplace, weapons can also be imbued with them. This makes the weapon stronger against the foes that the gem is strong against and weak to the foes that the gem is weak against. That's exactly right, thanks Cornelius!

Hey Sandy! I'm going away on vacation for nine days. I SHOULD be able to check in almost daily, but in the case that something drastic goes wrong, I thought I'd warn you. At the very most, I won't be active for the next two days or so while I get myself to my vacation location. I'm sorry, Rufus can pick my actions if need be.

Well, as long as you check in as often as possible. It would've been nice to get a mention of these vacations before signing up to the quests, though... :hmpf:

So forgive me if this is obvious or has been answered, but assuming you combined enough gems into your weapon, could you potentially be super powerful against all types? Or would the strengths and weaknesses of all the elements cancel each other out, and defeat the purpose of having gems in the first place?

Also, are Mages the only ones who can cause damage to an undead monster, since normal attacks are ineffective? Even if I fused a Light gem into my weapon?

Oh, I forgot their price and thought they were 300 at the time.

Thanks for answering all of my questions, I know it's a lot.

Reading through the Hall thread, I'm starting to wonder about the shape of The Hall itself. In your MOC of The Hall, Sandy, I can count 11 interior corners, and that's being generous (assuming some folks have resigned themselves to sitting midway up the stairs, heh). Surely, by now, the unpictured area of The Hall must be a few curves short of a circle? That, or it must have plenty of recessed booths surrounding the main chamber, since most everyone and their mother (I think even I might be guilty of this, haha!) has managed to find an open table in a lonely corner of the Hall!

Yes, if a weapon is imbued with e.g. a Ruby and an Aquamarine, it deals normal damage to fiery enemies, since the weakness and immunity cancel each other out. So a weapon with all nine gems imbued in it (the process of which would cost a total of 1350 gold if all gems had to be bought, by the way) would only cause double damage to humanoids, beasts and undead enemies, since those three types do not have an elemental immunity.

Undead enemies are immune only to non-elemental attacks, so any weapon with a gem imbued in it would damage them - and a Diamond-imbued weapon would deal double damage.

That, or it must have plenty of recessed booths surrounding the main chamber, since most everyone and their mother (I think even I might be guilty of this, haha!) has managed to find an open table in a lonely corner of the Hall!

You can just say a Ziegfried did it.

Ellaria stepped timidly into the Heroica Hall. She had not been in the city for long, but when she heard about the heroic deeds of this organization, she just had to see what it was all about. She saw the Quest Board straight in front of her. There were three open quests posted on it, but she didn't think she was quite ready for them yet. She wasn't sure if this was the place in her vision. Her goddess Sylvania was known for her fickleness. She held reign over the nature, after all.

As she began to descend the stairs to the upper floors, a figure in a wide-brimmed hat bursted out from a door near her.

"Oh, excuse me!" Ellaria apologized, even though it was the man who had bumped into her. "My name is Ellaria Arbour, and I'm wondering whether this place... well, is the right place for me. I don't suppose you would know... Hey, is that a chicken on your head? She's cute!"

Hello, redrix, and Welcome to Eurobricks.

First of all, please note that this is and adult site, and we expect a reasonable level of attention with regard to grammar, punctuation, capitalisation and spelling. Secondly, the information about Heroica is all here to find in this forum, all you have to do is read.

Thirdly, please introduce yourself in the Hello! My name is... forum. You'd be unlikely to be allowed to join Heroica unless we can see that you are a committed Eurobricks member.

Thanks!

Lastly, this thread is for Heroica characters only; I'll move your post and mine into the Heroica Rules & Discussion thread.

Where did the torso and legs used for the black witch in this image come from?

And I'm a Mage not a Witch.

There will be an advanced class called Witch, which is why I'm being specific.

I have to apologize for some slip-ups in the battle results and item sharings. I won't take any offence if you remind me of something I seem to have forgotten, on the contrary. I am hosting three games at the same time, after all, so keeping track of everything is a chore.

But luckily it's weekend soon, so I can give my undivided attention to you guys.

Thanks for being so active, guys!

is it alright to create a small scene as an illustration of what is going on in a topic post (such as Heroica Hall) ?

Other then character picture, almost every post is just words and was thinking I'd Like to add some illustration (photo) possibly to my next post.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know (for those interested) that my phones, TV, and internet access has been down for around 2-3 days and still is and should be back up around one or two days. I'm getting a school laptop soon so hopefully I should be back up soon and posting again! By the way, I'm on my friend's computer if you're wondering. :classic:
