The_Customizer Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Well, she is originally a dark mage, and simply manifests her power through fire. Funny enough, one of the alternate 'outfits' for her she has a panda bear, instead of a real bear. Quote
Actaeon Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Agreed, it is pretty spot on to Annie, being a darkness mage, having a teddy bear, now she just needs to be able to summon a massive one as well! I assumed that was what the bigger version of the teddy behind her was! Yep, first half of my inspiration, you'll have to watch her to get the second. Isn't Annie some sort of fire witch? I've never played the game so not too clear on it, but yes Evoker is in Polly's future. She's not really a witch, but she does use fire as a basic attack, a shield, and two spells. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 So is there any real story in LoL or is it mainly a brawler, I.e. do the characters get developed? Quote
Emjajoas Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 There's not really a story other than lore; a few videos or other things get released every now and again, but they're not much (Other than really cool). RIP Journal of Justice. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Is Mr. Sanders supposed to be a púca? Quote
Actaeon Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 So is there any real story in LoL or is it mainly a brawler, I.e. do the characters get developed? No story line, but Characters are all at least somewhat developed. They all have interesting back stories that usually interrelate. They also all say different things whenever you click for them to go somewhere and they usually relate to their story. Their abilities often do as well. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 WBD - Heroica's version of Calvin & Hobbes? Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 WBD - Heroica's version of Calvin & Hobbes? Not the reference I was going for, but the shoe fits. Quote
Endgame Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I thought that cat was at least nice back in 87. Quote
Zepher Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Hey all! Doing a round of updates now, but then I'll be out of commission for 36 hours or so. I'm seeing Modest Mouse (one of my all time favorite bands) tonight, and then working a butt-load of time tomorrow! May still be able to post a battle action, but no updates, sorry. Quote
Duvors Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 So... the Ameoebosses head is asleep but the rest of him is awake and can still attack the party? I'm certain there's a reasonable explanation for this. Quote

Endgame Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 So... the Ameoebosses head is asleep but the rest of him is awake and can still attack the party? I'm certain there's a reasonable explanation for this. You see, Ameoboss limbs actually all have a seperate nucleus, which is in turn coordinated by the central nervous system inside the head. As a defense mechnaism, should the main Ameoboss need sleep, the rest of its body can assume semi-conciousness and hold the border. I made all of that up, blame game mechanics. Quote

Oh yeah, that's totally how it happened. Honestly, I was surprised you let us put his body to sleep, but the rest of him was still active. Now, when he wakes up he'll get a nasty surprise as most of his body will have deteriorated. Quote
Endgame Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Sleep is a very fickle status, really. I plan on justifying the scary red text on the quest pitch, though. Quote
Duvors Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I plan on justifying the scary red text on the quest pitch, though. To quote a certain bard; Dun dun DUN! Quote
CMP Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It's like sleep walking, only with a lot more aggression. Sleep slaughtering? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I'm really tempted to have Docken demonstrate his out-of-character knowledge by walking up to Polly and giving a description of who Skrall is and where he is right now. Quote
Flipz Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Damn, Emperor Phil is a badass. ...apparently so much of a badass that he managed to break the editor and/or my computer. Quote
Endgame Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) And that is exactly what I meant by Sleep being a fickle status. Edited August 6, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Flare Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 All QM's, please start adding your quests to the Heroica Wiki! If you are not good at that kinda stuff or would rather someone else just take care of it, I'll do it for you, just let me know here Quote
Cutcobra Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I like how everyone is going to make their second character a female due to some items being female only. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I think it's more that there is a current lack of female characters. Quote
JimBee Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 There goes my idea for a second character... Quote
