Flipz Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 OoC: Remember just because Flipz made that a battle logistic/mechanic doesn't mean that is or was our goal. Ya can't adopt the idea that because flipz says "the battle ends if she's dead" that means that the party "against her" wants to see her dead. Read into the characters :) do you really see Mallelio slitting her throat?[/size] Fun fact: as a Sage, Mallelio is incapable of physically attacking; thus, he is completely unable to slit Diana's throat. Actaeon Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Fun fact: as a Sage, Mallelio is incapable of physically attacking; thus, he is completely unable to slit Diana's throat. Perfect! Now only 8 people are trying to kill her! Speaking of which, are you going to RP her before fighting resumes? Quote
Sandy Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 In a shocking twist, Retak Ysp has been revived and is now the King of the Underworld! Quote
Flare Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 What do you guys think? Sylvian Ranger or Prophet? Which one is more powerful, in your opinion? Obviously the Prophet is very adaptible and has a lot more choices, but the whole taming thing of the Sylvian Ranger is very intriguing. Benji will probably gain access to both at a similar time so I'm interested to hear y'all's opinions Quote

-obelix- Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 In a shocking twist, Retak Ysp has been revived and is now the King of the Underworld! He wont keep his title for long though, if he provokes his former comrades... Quote
Sandy Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Spoilers For the record, I didn't know of this twist beforehand. I thought it was a coincidence, but lo and behold... Quote
Flipz Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Zeph, you now have my permission to kill Masson. Lying bastard told me he was going to improve the next-gen Minoid to accept Artifacts, and Minoid 2.0 sure doesn't look improved to me. RE: 108: Your own fault for killing him off the first time. Zepher Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I'm glad to see CAT characters return - I think we have been missing tapping that well. And I read 99, but not religiously. I did not know that improvements were promised, but even geniuses cannot succeed at all they try. He's been busy with other things. Also, BD, since I see you in thread, I may as well publicly apologize for stealing Isaac for my own use. I didn't realize your next quest with him would be coming up so soon. I almost always ask permission to use an NPC - Isaac is the only one I failed to ask permission for in 102. Hopefully it doesn't screw anything up. Finally - Sandy, I am certain no one minds you taking a 2 week vacation. You have had at least one open quest for over 3 years at this point, with only minor delays ever, so I'm sure everyone understands if you want to take off a week or two. Quote
Endgame Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Flipz, I wrote the damn quest, and I don't recall ever saying that Quote

Hopefully it doesn't screw anything up. I haven't been following other quests and I didn't even realize you'd used him. It's fine with me; he's in the right city already anyways, and there are close to three weeks before he needs to show up in my quest. Quote
Endgame Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Actually, on second thought: Flipz, Arthur never got the spores that the Bookmark requested as part of his contract. Who's the one breaking promises now? Quote
Flipz Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Flipz, I wrote the damn quest, and I don't recall ever saying that "He's pretty smart, I'll give him that much. Might want to buff his shielding, though, I kept worrying he'd break beyond our ability to repair him. Should teach him how to wear Artifacts, too, while you're at it. Still, he was an enormous help down there, I don't think we would have been half as effective without him." "Wait, you used him for combat purposes? That's an... interesting devlopment, to say the least. I don't feel comfortable militarizing them too much, although I can build them more versatile in the future..." I haven't been following other quests and I didn't even realize you'd used him. It's fine with me; he's in the right city already anyways, and there are close to three weeks before he needs to show up in my quest. On that note, yay for another Skirmisher Quest! Let's see who we can get in there, shall we? *pokes Fugazi furiously* No seriously, we need to get him access to Skirmisher. Actually, on second thought: Flipz, Arthur never got the spores that the Bookmark requested as part of his contract. Who's the one breaking promises now? I was under the impression Arthur was supposed to plant those himself. I was planning on planting them in the Akrone vineyard at the end of 103. Quote
Endgame Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Curses, foiled again. Still got ya on the Bookmark thing, though. Perhaps 2.0 is in fact it's model number, and not a second version. Quote

Endgame Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Did Arthur ever obtain them, though? I cannot remember. Quote
Duvors Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Brickdoctor, can you please explain the 'sign up as a group and name your own party leader' part of the signup for your new quest? Quote
Sandy Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Brickdoctor, can you please explain the 'sign up as a group and name your own party leader' part of the signup for your new quest? You gather a group, sign up together and name a party leader from that group. What more needs explaining? Quote
Duvors Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 You gather a group, sign up together and name a party leader from that group. What more needs explaining? Okay, just a little confused, I don't think it's been done before. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Okay, just a little confused, I don't think it's been done before. It's done just about every time for the Unlimited Quest, and I'm all but certain that Zeph's done it at least once as well. Quote
Zepher Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 All Guffington Quests use that method of sign-ups. Quote
Flipz Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Did Arthur ever obtain them, though? I cannot remember. He was the one who grabbed the tendrils. If that wasn't what needed to be replanted, we can assume he also grabbed what he did need in the process of harvesting. Quote
