Endgame Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I like how the plan to kill something who calls itself the Eternal Reaper is to try and sympathize with it. That's one interpreation, sure. His old emotions have more or less withered and died though, so... Who knows where this'll go. The Legonater Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 So I was hoping to have the sign-ups for my quest up by now, but Sandy's vacation kind of caught me by surprise. Would it be out of line for me to post it on here for now, just so people have an idea to base off of? Quote
StickFig Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 "Of course we did it! No need to thank me, I just want the promised reward." "How dare you doubt us, bourgeois peasantDuke! We're heroes! Don't thank us, pay us!" Quote

If not, I'd wait until Sandy gets back. Quote

Would it be out of line for me to post it on here for now, just so people have an idea to base off of? I would wait at least a couple of days, if only as a matter of courtesy, since Sandy should always have the final say in whether or not a quest is a go. Quote
The Legonater Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Sandy gave the okay a while ago, but with me being gone for most of the summer I decided to wait before putting up the sign-ups. Quote
Khorne Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 "You might not like this lack of freedom in today's feudal society that arises when an agricultural surplus enables manorialism but the merchant class isn't yet powerful enough in most places to challenge the local lords and support a mercantilist central government leading to commercial capitalism, but you can change that! You have the good fortune of having been born into a position in which you have the resources to support a change in society. I just love Docken's motivational speeches . Quote

I'm happy I got to post that, because I think this is literally going to be the only time in my life that I'm actually going to use anything I remember from that Economic History course I was forced to take last year. An online RPG is the most adequate outlet for the majority of what's learned in many college courses. Quote
Zepher Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Heroica is pretty much the only reason I'm even in college. Quote
CMP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Baltarok wouldn't be as half as fleshed out as it is if I hadn't taken two consecutive humanities courses while designing it. Quote
KotZ Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Heroica is pretty much the only reason I'm even in college. I've found that I'm doing better in college when I'm involved with Heroica. Quote
Endgame Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Heroic helped me escape from the slums of New England and financed my new life. Seriously, though, I have four years until college - I highly doubt I'll still be hosting by that time, though. :tounge: Quote

I now wonder how much better my last quest might've been if my general ed Theatre professor hadn't shown herself to be a terrible teacher whom you should never pay attention to from day one... Quote
CMP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I think that's the most satisfying first round ever in Quest 108. Quote
Flipz Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) WBD, I understand removing the books, but I don't see why removing the Scrolls would be necessary; one is an established loot item (one I'm kicking myself for not dropping in my own Quest because I really really love it), while the other is a similar Scroll with a similar degree of balance. I don't know, it doesn't seem to me like those would be too generous. EDIT: Sorry for the delay, 100 and 104-ers! Updates in the morning. Edited September 1, 2014 by Flipz Quote
StickFig Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) The loot is incredible... the cleric armor is the highest SP artefact in the game, tied with the iron knuckle armor if memory serves. P.S. - Yes, I like my fancy-schmancy cannon very much! Edited September 1, 2014 by StickFig Quote

I think Costy has that yeti-exclusive bodywear with a higher SP. Fur Coat (SP: 12), if I remember correctly. Quote
