Asphalt Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Man everything I type in here comes out wrong. I wasn't begging I was asking a character I just finished a quest with for a loan. I had been planning it out with him via PM, then the situation changed. I feel like I came out pretty dang good from my first quest. Just had a plan to make a weapon with a little more punch for the next round. Quote
Zepher Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 While the "be happy with what you've got" sentiment is certainly a good, play the game however you choose. As long as you aren't actively squashing someone else's fun, their feelings are their's to deal with, not yours. Quote
Asphalt Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Still learnin the ropes and testin the waters. I'm having too much fun to stop now. Quote
JimBee Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I don't really care, but MDM does have a point about loot being dropped in far more excess (i.e. for new heroes) than it once was. I remember during my first quest the best loot was a plain WP:4 weapon (which I was super excited about), and then I got a Zoot's Plaything to get a WP:10 weapon in my next quest which was unprecedentedly good. Vindsval has some pretty amazing equipment especially considering he's only just returned from his first quest at level 5. Robe of the Archmagi is a THE universally-awesome artifact for Clerics and Mages, a WP:8 elemental weapon at this stage is a huge plus, and all the left over gems and armor are things that players could only dream of having at the game's start. Again, not that I disagree with it, but it's funny to see how the times have changed. I think it's fair to give newer players better loot because they just joined - those of us playing for over three years now have collected many valuable items and are way up there XP-wise. It might be discouraging to see all of the veterans with insanely powerful stuff while a newbie is stuck at the way bottom (and would take years to achieve the level that the vets are at). Quote
Zepher Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I personally think that there is a happy middle ground that we have yet to find. I think a great number of people under value drops of gold and consumables. Quote

Palathadric Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Hey! Reg is back! Is it just me or is it ridiculously fun to watch and wonder what Purpearl will do next? Quote
Zepher Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I love love love Purpearl. Really, the whole party of 102. I know I say it like once a week, but damn. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) I know he's not exactly loved by everyone, but after reading what he said in the hall, I'm starting to like Throlar... Edited October 3, 2014 by Lind Whisperer Quote

StickFig Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Vindsval could probably coax it up to 200 by playing up his ridiculous musculature and/or sexual availability, though. Fabian's a sucker for that. Next he visits Fabians stall Hello Dear Lady. This ought to be good: doesn't Fabian have a mustache? Quote
Zepher Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I will be on set this weekend - not without wifi as the previous two, but updates may still tend to be slower than during the week. Quote
Actaeon Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I will be on set this weekend - not without wifi as the previous two, but updates may still tend to be slower than during the week. Are you in the film industry? Quote
Zepher Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I'm a film student, but it's still pretty intensive! We shoot on weekends, but usually at least 12 hours a day and sometimes we have to drive to set (drove for 8 hours today). Also (posting from my phone) it appears I was incorrect about the wifi situation - there is no wifi, so the quests I'm hosting are on pause until Sunday evening (unless I track down wifi tomorrow, which appears to be a possibility, but no promises). Zepher Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I have successfully tracked down wifi! And yes, I'll post my movies here one day. It always weirds me out a little to give out my real name on the internet, even if I consider everyone a friend. Quote

Actaeon Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 By the way, have you ever googled "Zepher"? The urban dictionary term is rather... interesting. Quote

Captain Settle Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I really hope Zepher didn't know about this when making his name... Urban Dictionary has a lot of weird stuff on it. Finding out what 'Charizarding' meant ruined my Pokemon obsessed childhood. Quote
