Flipz Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hmm...well, technically Hans had a stint in both 30 and 31 (not sure if he appeared in 29 at all, I doubt it though), so that's technically 6... You're right, Altair ties at seven: 3, 14, 33, 65, 66, 79, and 100. Quote

The thing is, if we're counting that, Melvin has shown up in Quest 88 too, which brings his total up to eight. Quote
StickFig Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) I think this needs to be said over here: ...And I'm sorry about going all absent at the end of the quest, that was due to becoming a father this Monday so I kinda had other priorities than EB for a while. Congratulations! And this! It's my 21st [birthday]... Happy Birthday! Edited November 14, 2014 by StickFig Quote

Goldraum was in both of those, which leaves him at around six I believe. Altair also sowed up in #63 I think. Altair: 3, 14, 33, 63, 65, 66 Goldraum: 3, 14, 33, 66, 79, 100 Quote
Khorne Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Just a general question regarding photography, but what lights do you use for your scenes? BrickDoctor, Pyro, Sandy and WBD (to name just afew): your photography is always excellent, so I was wondering how you pull it off? I have lots of difficulty decently lighting my scenes . Quote
Zepher Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 LED bricks are super useful, and will light a scene well. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/857246-REG/genaray_led_6200t_144_lamp_variable_clr.html It depends on how much you want to spend (that's a very expensive option as far as LED bricks go, I think, I know there are ones for 30 or 40 bucks as well). Also, the sun! I know that's not a viable option year round, but it's a oldie and goodie. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Sun is great, but I generally use two regular 60W incandescent desk lamps, one positioned above the scene, the other in front of the scene. I then mess around with lighting using Picasa and sometimes Gimp. I think most people would probably cringe at my setup. Quote
Zepher Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 That's pretty good too! It mostly just boils down to what works. (It may not show in my scenes because I usually don't take the time to light them super well, but what I usually do on set is lighting. ) EDIT: As for most quests, we could try to tally up Everyman's appearances. I think he's been in a ton. Quote

I don't know the exact term, but I use one of those separable flash devices that can be directed at any direction. It's my fiancé's, who's more into photography, but he kindly lets me borrow it for my photoshoots. Quote
Flipz Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Question about 120: roughly how long do you expect the Quest to run? Quote
KotZ Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I usually get as even and natural sunlight I can and then play with it in Photoshop. Honestly though, it depends on the mood you're going for on a quest. I say try to do as much as you can during the actual phototography phase to minimize what happens in post. Quote
Sandy Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 Question about 120: roughly how long do you expect the Quest to run? Both of my upcoming quests have at most three battles, depending on the player's choices. Quote
Flipz Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Both of my upcoming quests have at most three battles, depending on the player's choices. Awesome, I just might sign up then. In other news, is this the second or third time I've faked everyone out and made them think I was getting rid of Arthur? I swear, this time it wasn't intentional. Quote

Okay, thanks for the advice . Those LEDs you linked to are kind of expense, Zeph . I'll see if I can find something similar here, but cheaper . I correct the lighting in Photoshop, too, but the result can be sloppy if the basic pictures aren't very good to begin with. Lighting is my biggest issue, so hopefully I can solve it . Thanks again! Flipz Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 By the way, for anyone wondering: Miirym is pronounced just like 'Miriam', but with only two syllables (the second one being shortened as well). "MEER-yim" Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) You know, with more and more people going Dragoon, someone should host a quest that's Dragoon only... EDIT: Um, Flipz? At the touch of a finger, the eggshell fractures, once, twice, thrice...and then flies to pieces, the little hatchling within stretching its wings before curling back up tightly, every inch of her body save her piercing eyes covered by the leathery appendages I really don't want to be someone who nit-picks, but you might, just might, want to edit that. I don't know about dragons, but in real life, you shouldn't help a chick break out of its egg. It's the struggling against the shell that gives the little baby bird its first muscles, and if you just break it open for them, you risk severely hurting their chances at survival. If they haven't broken out within twelve hours, or the chick is breaking it at the pointy end, then you can help it out, but they still need to have originally tried to escape. My sincerest apologies if I'm being too critical, the animal lover in me just winced a little when I read that. Edited November 15, 2014 by Lind Whisperer Quote

Flipz Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 CMP... that's big. That's what you would have fought if you'd taken the sea route in 104. (Pie's stats and specials are way better, though. ) Quote
CMP Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 CMP... that's big. I was worried about it even remotely resembling Kjorfalneire but I think I did a good enough job of it. Quote
