Flipz Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 This is why I really wanted you to be back from your quest in time. Perhaps if our party had taken more bold actions, he would have made it. Aside from me and K-nut (when he's even available, what with Mafia and Real Life), everyone keeps Thinking Out Loud instead of actually doing stuff. Part of this comes from Insistent Terminology in the form of having to bold actions instead of just saying them, but a lot comes from, I think, people wanting K-nut to give final approval of stuff, and from what I've seen (feel free to correct me, K-nut), Althior just isn't that type of leader. In any case, the between-battle moments would go a lot quicker if folks just did stuff instead of just talking about it. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Aside from me and K-nut (when he's even available, what with Mafia and Real Life) Mafia? Do you think that's where I am when I'm not here? I've never been in the mafia my life! Even if we did, there would be no way to get back first. We've got about 5-7 huge waves coming! Quote
Tanma Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 So, what is the betting that one of the heroes in Quest 21 will be their own ancestor? My money is on Boomingham, it seems his style from what I have seen. And it is a good 206 years before he was born, so even with his time travel craziness it could work. Quote

The problems are that, as you say, a lot of people wait for K-nut to approve of their actions, which prevents me from putting anything into effect until K-nut does give his approval, and also because a lot of the players are waiting for something to happen to them instead of going out and seeing what they can do. Also, a lot of the players aren't actually thinking outside the box. They're mostly thinking of different ways to employ magic. That's fine for a few Battles, but the Mages are going to get worn out, and I have to wait for the Mages to be online and execute the actions before I can do anything. You (Flipz) are the only player I've seen consistently truly thinking outside the box. (and, technically, anything you do with magic is thinking inside the box, since it can be treated as use of magic outside of battle as stated in the Mage section of the rules) Quote

However, I'm not in your quest Quote
Flipz Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Mafia? Do you think that's where I am when I'm not here? I've never been in the mafia my life! Even if we did, there would be no way to get back first. We've got about 5-7 huge waves coming! Apologies, for some reason I'm still getting you confused with other people. Sorry! And, I was saying the waves would come faster (and we'd tear through them quicker) if we all were more active in beffing beefing up the fort in between waves. Beffing? What the heck is that? The emboldening isn't really the problem. For the record, I've thought about a few pretty good ideas for your quest. However, I'm not in your quest Hmm, let's see...if you can contact someone on De'kra's party, he could write them in that book I gave him...which reminds me, I have to write him to tell him about the first wave...course, he'll have to wait until he gets out of combat to read about it and reply...I think I'm using too many ellipses... Sandy Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Sandy, could you please explain a little more on the confused effect? There's a 50/50 chance of the confused character targeting an ally... does that include themselves? Also, is the target by the confused character random? Unless the confused character/enemy is without allies, they will not target themselves. For fairness sake, the QM should randomly roll dice/draw lots to see which ally gets attacked by the confused strike. Hope that's a clear enough solution. Quote
Sisco Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I will continue my attack. OOC: Oh no, you can cast Wall of Text as well? I thought that only Flipz had that power! It happens to me every now and then. On an unrelated yet absolutely related note, you guys have the worst luck ever. Your leader just about got one-shotted, and none of you landed a hit. Sorry for that, guys! Quote

Somehow I doubt Dyric can contact De'kra However, if any of the rebels has contacts in your area, that could work. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Somehow I doubt Dyric can contact De'kra However, if any of the rebels has contacts in your area, that could work. Well, they could use their rogue minds to contact each other, and who knows? Maybe Finnegan is a rebel! Quote
The Legonater Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Well, they could use their rogue minds to contact each other, and who knows? Maybe Finnegan is a rebel! On more realistic terms, Skar could shoot an arrow with a message attached to it, and see how far it goes... Quote
K-Nut Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 On more realistic terms, Skar could shoot an arrow with a message attached to it, and see how far it goes... Skar, who's that? Quote
The Legonater Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Skar, who's that? Depends on which movie you're talking about. Skrall Quote
Flipz Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 "We could use Finnegan's head for one cannon ball!" "Meep. " "I'm kidding!" Althior goes down to the kitchens to see how many bowls there are and if there are any ingredients to make glue. (I have no idea what those are) Google is your friend. Also, Mythbusters reruns and TV Tropes. Quote

Yes, that's what I did for when Alexis attacked Nur. Thanks. Quote
CMP Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Where's that Last Wish Powder when we need some? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Wow, you people from quest 14 are mean that poor unicorn. Quote
CMP Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Necklace with animal teeth. No effect, just for fashion. Well, where the heck am I supposed to put that?? Quote
Etzel Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Well, where the heck am I supposed to put that?? Not my problem. My heroes have already gotten a lot of stuff, this one was just for fun. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Oh, yes, and: Jeb also removes a medallion that the fallen Edward wore. The golden trinket depicts what looks like a family crest. Atramor tries removing the sapphire, but it doesn't budge. Jeb?! His character is Nur... Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Note to all Rangers: Talking to Brobic Elf Horses is bad, especially if you just killed the rider. Quote
Zepher Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Sorry Questies, Fridays are my ridiculous days, I'm gooing to have to photograph tomorrow, so the Quest is put on pause for a day. Sorry for the wait! We're near the end (two weeks tops, probably!) Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 No problem Zepher, I've got an all day LoTR marathon tomorrow anyways so I won't be on till the evening. I'm looking forward to the end and some witty banter with Wren Quote
Scorpiox Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 No problem Zepher, I'm looking forward to the end as well. Quote
