Can someone choose to be "Immune to Magic" with the Blue Hand Shield?

No, because that would obviously be too OP. The description says "effects" for this very reason. But apparently I can't make a single item without people attempting to exploit them.

Also, wrong topic.

I browsed through the wiki, and noticed that the list of races was missing one very important group: the animals. They have their own page now, which I encourage people to fill in (especially looking towards Zepher).

Note that dragons have their own, separate page.

Also, I updated the page for scrolls with every type of them available, at least to my knowledge.

Lovely picture, Sandy.

Thanks! :classic:

I'll get on wiki duty asap! I think my life will be too busy to host quests over the next few months, so I plan to supplement that time with some wiki work... though I may have to wait for the holidays to wind down first. Thanks for including them, Sandy!

Rollinger would remember that.

If you're trying to make your heroes care about the choices they make in relation to this poor paladin I think you've got the wrong party.

Think it's a telltale reference.

I know, that's my point: Telltale games revolve around the player and the protagonist caring about the choices made and how they can have a substantial impact the characters and the world, handing them the responsibility of much of what happens within the game itself.

I don't think Eric, Throlar, and Heckz would be overly concerned with that.

Hell, that's kind of why I like them as characters.

Please. I bet they would all kill Rollinger without a second thought if it meant 5 more gold.

Heh. I played Wolf Among Us last week and the first episode of the Game of Thrones one today.. The choices don't matter very much, I've found. Maybe that's where Kintobor is going with it.

I've had the last episode of Wolf Among Us for months now and still haven't gotten around to it. I'm not super clear on how big choice plays into it, but supposedly the ending accounts for a lot of how it all plays together.

I just read about Wolf Among Us today, heard it was good!

I'd also advise looking into the Banner Saga if anyone likes a good quick game. Great art too, in my opinion.

My gaming time in the very near future will probably be devoted to learning the basics of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, since I want to use the 112 battle mechanics in a reasonable manner (well, that and I was able to get both it and all of the DLC for US$12.49 yesterday  ).

I'd also recommend Dungeon Defenders (the original, not Eternia or Dungeon Defenders 2 pre-alpha) for Heroica fans; it's a style of hybrid action-tower defense that I think would translate well into Heroica, if only someone takes the time to adapt it. (I have plans to do so eventually, of course, but I wouldn't mind at all if someone else wanted to do so before I'm able to. ) It was insanely cheap yesterday, but it'll probably go on sale again on the final day of the Steam sale; be sure to pick up all the DLC, including the Tinkerer's Lab DLC (which isn't included in the complete collection on Steam), for the full experience.

Invest in body armor and be prepared to replace dead rookies on a moment's notice.

So basically just like Heroica. :poke:

If no one has ever re-read early Heroica, it really is a treat. I'm going through some of the earlier quests to complete Boomingham's bio for the wiki (more for my benefit than anyone else's) and stumbled upon a wonderful tid-bit from Quest #8 in which the Ji Pei are described as "Eastern Raiders" by Cathargo, only to be changed to another totally unrelated faction about three fourths into the quests running time, clearly by Sandy's request because that is not at all what the Ji Pei are. It's hilarious because we didn't know what that house was back then, and also a real testament to the lore we've created in the intermittent time-span - no one would mistake the Ji Pei for raiders at this point.

The party was fantastic. I have long championed all three characters as complex characters, but still down to earth. I think they played off each other so incredibly well. Althior is AWESOME. I think his death has been handled beautifully since he was brought back from it - he's amoral, but not. He's uncaring, but not. It never feels contradictory, just complex. I love that he was a comic relief character before too, because it still sort of hangs around him even though he's come so far from there. Juxtaposing who he was with who he is now is a strong choice and highlights his new moral system beautifully. The fall out from 100 has been artfully handled too.

I'm just going to ask it here, since the QM Lounge doesn't really seem like the place for it, but when or how did Althior die and get resurrected? I must've missed that, because I can't seem to recall reading that. I only remember Althior as the comical mage aided by Finnegan and having some ties with Abraxas.
