Finally, I have a more immediate, but also more secret, Quest in the planning stages with another QM. Who could it be? And what this mysterious project all about? You'll just have to stick around and see--do you really need to ask at this point?

So what about the rest of you? What are your big plans for the coming year?

I'm in the design stages of a new quest, but not sure where/how it's going to work. It's a sequel to Color Me Gone, but I'm hung up on just what it's to be about.

I am also new here altough I a have observed this game on off for 2 years now and finally choose to use my character to play.

Almost all RPGs I have played have some kind off place where one can kill monsters an gain lvl and coins and when you are a lower lvl you will face off weaker monsters. I thought FoG was that, am I right?

From this post I asume I am right about FoG :classic:

The fields are suited for a anyone, but lower level heroes are definitely not going to get far. I'm only expecting 1-2 maybe 3 battles max before we'd have to exit. But 3 battles is still 3 battles. :shrug_oh_well:

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! (And I guess happy New Year's Day to some parts of the world). In celebration...

Random Question of the Unspecified Time PeriodTM!! 2014 QOTY Edition!:

What plans (or hints of plans) do everyone have for 2015?

Obviously, I'll probably host some more Fields runs at some point, probably later in the year, though--Sandy, Pie, and JimBee are all in line for a turn. More interestingly to some of you, however, are two Quests I'm likely going to pitch in mid to late summer: the first being the long-awaited return of Diana N. Justus, this time quite a bit closer to home. "'Is she friend or is she foe?' the pony wonders." You'll just have to wait until then to find out.

Later in the year, likely closer to Thanksgiving or next Christmas, I'll be heading to Duplovia to follow up on the mission of Quest 104 survivor Darius Kaan in his search for his best friend's little brother. But how will the recent events in the region affect Kaan's quest? Tune in next fall to find out! :devil_laugh:

I'm only stewing on one quest/event currently, thinking maybe sometime in February/March for a release. I've hinted at it before, but it should give some of you a chance to show off your evil side. :devil_laugh:

The same thing we do every year, Flipzy; try and take over the world!

Well, I've got three quests in the immediate future, and a few bigger things stewing about, but you can expect the Sheep Tribe quest to start next year, which is going to be my most comedic quest to date, so expect that to ship out shortly.

As for big plans, we're going to finally get to Baltarok and figure out what secret's it holds in relation to Heraesias's Vault. Then, we'll be taking a trip to Fellcreste and finding out what mysteries surround its dilapidating walls. Last, but not least, we'll be hot on the trail of the Butcher of Eubric, as the Watch asks for assistance in another murder mystery. All of these are in no particular order yet, but I expect Baltarok to come later than the other two. :classic:

Also, we'll be seeing returning gag characters, more Pony references, and some appearances from my favourite NPC I've created. Maybe a Raid against a dragon. I'm working on that too.

On a bit of a side note, why has no one done a quest in Duplovia with references to Attack on Titan? I mean, you have a walled city that is in close proximity to giants. Someone get on that.

Happy new year, everyone!

I'm finishing up a Heroica related MOC at the moment... To give you a hint, I'm not sure wether to post it in Historic or Pirates...

And I'm planning to do a final final cleanup (No you haven't heard that before, that's just your imagination) of the Strivvi storyline in a light and easy way, as well as another quest.

Yes!    Super excited to see what goes down.

I'm hoping to continue my characters and hopefully finish up my quests... but I keep adding on new ones before my finale, so maybe we'll never get there. Right now I've got four quests left including the finale, and I think at least three of them will be hitting the forums this year - one within a day or two, hopefully.

As for the Fields of Glory for new players - just a suggestion (and I'll admit, the fields don't appeal to me personally): go on a quest-quest first. Dipping your toes in the world of Heroica, even just a little, is a good thing to do if you plan on playing this game!

Host a plethora of quests, not completely fail with the one I'm hosting now, get slightly better at LDD so all my sets aren't completely terrible.... The usual.

Also fix the problems and inconsistencies I have with my current character and, failing that, make a second character.

Umm, as a kinda new-year's present, I'm releasing the unfinished MORPG I half-completed about a year ago [:P] It's massively buggy, (even the GUI is just the standard one) but still quite fun, and seeing as I'm not working on it anymore I decided just to at least release it [:P]

Here are the downloads, for mac and PC. To run on a mac is easy, just download and double click the file. For PC, make sure both the downloaded files are in the same folder, then double-click the launcher.

(No ads [;)])

https://www.dropbox....D8md8EGYra?dl=0 -Mac

https://www.dropbox....I0OTO6_QWa?dl=0 -PC

No personal details are needed to sign in, just a username and password (don't use any previously-used passwords though, because I will be able to view your full character from my database).

Have fun [;)] Don't get beaten up too badly by the Golem Lord [:P]

Note: I just downloaded it onto my other mac laptop, and the .app came out as a folder instead, making the game unplayable :\ I'm hoping that it's just my computer, but if anyone else experiences this, please let me know [;)]

Get Tesni to a proper wrapped up character arc and then create a new character to play. Whether I feel the need to reach level 40 and barbarian chieftan or 50 for Paragon is something to be seen, though it would make more sense character wise to become a chieftan and return to the Hightribe. I am loathe to remove such weapons from play though! (maybe they could be held in abeyance until a next character gets to a sensible level eh? ).

I thought that my quest was all but ready to go...until I realized that it was basically "Cool Loot Sidequests: The Live Action Movie."

I think I've got the plot mostly fixed, but it still needs some work. And, I really need to balance the reward for the one sidequest I'm leaving in...

For your first time QMing, simple is good. Don't try to stuff too much into one quest and stay on point. There'll be plenty of opportunities down the road to expand. :classic:

I'm up for a return to the island. Color me in for a second round when you are ready to go.

I hope to put out another Duplovia quest or two myself over the next year. I hope they don't interfere with your plans at all. :sweet:

Speaking of which, my next quest takes place in the midst of the city of Delfrin. I don't have nearly the pieces to properly show off Delfrin, so is there a builder who wouldn't mind assisting me?

No particular goals for Warlen, but I have a few quest ideas, one of which I'm working on now.

The most likely one that I'll complete is one involving the "Wairua Hononga", which is Māori for "Connected spirits.

The second, third, and maybe even fifth quest involve battles with Vampires, Centaurs, Skeletons, Humans, Wolves, GODS and to top it all off, an evil wizard.

The last is a vague idea of stopping a takover under the sea. Not really fleshed out yet.

Happy new year, all!

Finish writing this damn Marauder quest. I failed to get it out before the New Year but oh well, there's people interested in it that aren't particularly close to finishing their quests right now.

In the quest bin is the 'continuation' of sorts to Quest 51 and 82, maybe something later involving Baltarok, and in the absence of (but very likely to happen) additional short quests I throw in there, a big quest(s) tying together Baltarok, the Cold Circle, and the Crimson Crown.

Posted

Well, I don't have any particular plans for the coming year, but I'm certainly up for any quests concerning Baltarok, or a sequel to Go now, In Peace. Hope you all do as good a job next year as you did this!

Note: Please choose five cards from your deck to play with before posting! To prevent cheating in player vs. player matches, please send me your hand via PM! It is not necessary if you're playing against an NPC.
Porcelaine wins! The last cards are then played! Porcelaine has Mud Frog (Rock 2)! What card has Karie left for last?
OoC: Assuming that Kintobor did PM you the hand, you should be able to find out what Karie's last card is.

Wait... So if you are in a PvE match, do you get to make up your hand as you go? I'd assume you aren't supposed to, but what at all prevents such a thing?

Speaking of which, my next quest takes place in the midst of the city of Delfrin. I don't have nearly the pieces to properly show off Delfrin, so is there a builder who wouldn't mind assisting me?

I could probably help with a few scenes. PM me some of the scenes if you are interested, although I'm likely to be willing to help only with scenes that I already have some models to help me. Here is an example scene for reference (Which I made for Q121).

Still 5:44 here

Noon on New Year's Day here; you guys are way behind.

QM Note: I know this quest is a little ways off, but you four would make a pretty compelling party.

We know you posted it for 20JAN15, but starting it today would make for a pretty compelling New Year's!

Wait, I thought you were in the USA? (That's what your Country field on the left says. )

EDIT:

"Al-Fi, Do the thing!"

I approve. I thoroughly approve.

Thanks for the offer, but I was preferring a brick-built quest. Just personal preference, plus then it's more consistent with the previous two quests.

What plans (or hints of plans) do everyone have for 2015?

My second character has been ready to go; I just haven't taken the time to write up a decent intro.

I know what my next quest will involve (probably more of what was in 112), but I kind of hope I don't get to host it, because that would mean I probably got a good internship for the summer.

Will there be Overwatch? Please tell me there's Overwatch. (I kind of like Overwatch, in case you can't tell. )

Also: Happy New Year, everybody!

I use my country of origin... it's not my current location though hahaha.
