Also also, the Grogmas Event for this year will be a Decamon Tournament. And I promise it won't last until April this time.

Your wait is almost over, for the Decamon Tournament will launch this weekend. As I said earlier, it is going to be this year's Grogmas event...

That should answer your question.

Jeaux watches as Erdathcath's body is splintered and broken. He can't help but feel a twinge of grief at her death, knowing that the fight to come will be far more challenging without her assistance healing the party.

I have totally forgotten to welcome our newest players, bionicle_fanatic and Mencot! So... welcome to Heroica RPG!

Mencot, you have yet to post your character's stats into the Hero Statistics topic. Please do so as soon as possible!

Mencot, post those stats quick so I don't have to bump you from the quest.

Looking forward to hosting level 1s. I think over 80 quests have passed since I had the chance, and I know they're less of a headache than the friggin' level 30s.

He already did, a long time ago. Right before Jeaux' stats.

Wow, that means he took over two years from first signing into the game to start playing... I hope the rules aren't that long to read!

The Heroica Hall topic's first post has been updated with all the new info from the past quests. Hope I haven't missed anything!

Oh, and folks, my normal shameful cry: for whatever reason I just can't make banners very well, so if anyone is feeling like making a banner for this quest, shoot me a PM!

Yeah, I figured most people would really want that handcannon. Probably one of the stronger ones in the game.

Em, thanks for being a great quest leader and taking over when I no longer had the time to, I'm completely fine if you guys take all the stuff I had leftover, of course no one can use the Amulet of Optimism, but I'm sure everything else would be useful for finishing the quest!

Well whatever happens I am saddened that you are leaving. All elves look the same to Nur and your char was one of two elves he could actually recognize (before your wooden change anyway). Another member from Quest 10 disappears but at least she had a cool death.

Thanks, Sandy [:)] No worries about the late welcome, running an RPG on the scale of an MMO must take up a load of time [:P] [:P]

Thank you for the welcome.

The rules were hard and long but how hard I have read them I haven´t understood them yet :grin:

"If all the bullocks, be forgot,

and marry many wives,

if all the banquets be you got,

then that's the time to dine."

Screwing up The Parting Glass should be a capitol punishment. At least, I think he's screwing up The Parting Glass.

You'll get them! In practice they are much easier to catch onto, don't worry.

It was meant as a bit of a joke

Real reason was that life got too busy.

"Al-Fi, Do the thing!" Nur fell backwards as if to sit in an invisible chair only to land comfortably on his golem who had bent over to form a makeshift bench.

 Hahahaha, loved reading that. Nur is so awesome. The fact you're referencing Varrick and Zhu-Li only makes me like him even more.

No, he's singing an incredibly poor rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

Legend of Korra is one of the absolute best shows.

I've also been adding to the wiki pretty studiously over this break. I plan to have a great number of my quests cataloged (7 is in, 19 is half-way done, 92 is done) and make at least a dent into my NPCs (Everyman is my newest addition) while hacking away at Boomingham's extensive bio. It's a lot of fun, and I suggest others take a shot at it too!

Was going through my (utterly cringe-worthy) early posts while attempting to write a cohesive biography of Arthur that makes him seem like less of a Mary Sue, when I came across this fantastic typo:

Althior saw he was not only chosen for Quest #17, but Party Leader as well! He was about to leap for joy but saw that the love of his life, Alexis, had not been chosen. He frowned as he looked to her depressed expression. He hoped a nice kiss would lighten her spirits.

EDIT: LIFE! LIFE! NOT WIFE!

In other news...it's really, really hard to try to undo some of the Mary Sue-ism in Arthur's backstory. It's downright depressing, actually.

Also, WOW I sucked at writing Caroline. Like, seriously, I don't even think the "still a better love story than Twilight" meme applies here. :sceptic:

But, in a way, isn't having your character be a bit of a Mary Sue part of the fun? There should of course be a limit to how much that happens, but this is a fantasy world. It's a place where we can be heroes, and "do" things that we couldn't do in real life, be people we couldn't be in real life.

On a completely different note, I'm starting to think I should add a bit in my signature about how Munchkins are humans. I'm pretty sure this is the third time a character's referred to Lind as being short - which only makes sense if humans in this world are commonly taller than six feet.

But then again, like I said, this is a slightly idealistic fantasy world. Almost everyone probably is taller than six feet.

I've imagined Kiray as 5'8", and I'm 5'6" in real life.

Ah the joys of early Althior.

It seems to me like a lot of the heroes in this game are either tall and lanky or towering behemoth's. Though the name Munchkin is very confusing in itself too.
