Palathadric Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 A Quest like that has actually been in my head for a long time. The first Quest I wanted to run was actually going to be about that, but then I chose to do a completely different Quest. The idea was that cheap knock-offs potions and stuff were flooding the market and Heroica was hired by the Guild to find the dealers, take them out and locate where the stuff was being produced illegally and then also destroy that in order to keep the price high. Needs finetuning, but that was the general gist of it. That first quest was really good. I would love to see it finished. Too bad Zark is gone. Quote
Sandy Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Has all of the Ziegfrieds' extended family been given names? My planned trilogy/first quest was being set into motion by one of their children + their tutor. No, I have left the exact family tree vague on purpose. It is not even stated how many children Zelda has besides Zed. Only Zed's offspring have been set to stone, but there can be any number of aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins. Quote
Sandy Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 My next two quests are up! One is a relatively short Hinckwell/Shadeaux quest, while the other is a longer Ziegfried quest. Both feature main faction NPCs we haven't really seen much of yet. Quote
Asphalt Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Awesome. A house quest involving who I assume is a child. Sounds right up vindsval's ally. He seems to be developing a soft spot for kids. And not just as a side dish Quote
Endgame Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 An hour late, but here it is: My true final boss. Have at him, 105ers! Quote
Flipz Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Ooh, nice, another Quest akin to Green and Gone, I like! (Green and Gone was probably my favorite of Flare's two Quests. ) Quote
Zepher Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Flare's first quest is one of my very favorite quests of Heroica history for it's sheer bizarreness. I really hope I get back for the Zeigfried quest! Quote

Asphalt Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Absolutely. It seemed to distract the youngster after they were forced to butcher his mother and her abusive boyfriend right in front of him. Quote
Flipz Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 -Mary Sue Hinckwell's Journal, Henry's Wife Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Speaking of Roderick, I think I mentioned it post-92 but never got a response: did Henry recognize his son's sword or not? I made a point of Arthur showing it off prominently, but obviously he himself didn't know about Henry's relation to Roderick. Quote
Zepher Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I know you had him show it off, I remember enjoying it. I don't imagine Henry as someone who understands a hell of a lot about weaponry, but I believe he would have probably at least somewhat recognized it. I think even if he did, though, he would block the thought. I was re-reading 84, and he said that he and Roderick did not end on great terms (which is probably because Roderick was driven violently insane, but also probably before that they didn't see eye to eye). I think that itself was a lie too, or at least purposeful mis-remembering for the same reason that he lost his only son while they were in a "rough patch", but long story short: no, not really. I have to say that Henry is a fun character for that reason for me. I have been having a good time coloring events from the Wren Saga with backstory told after the fact. I just told JimBee recently that we're due for some more retro-active back story... the Court of Demons may be coming around some time soon with their only survivor. EDIT: Remember when people used to release pictures as teasers before quests? I miss that. I think I might be doing that again soon. Quote
bionicle_fanatic Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Just to Lear something up: I read somewhere that you can create a new hero (and keep the old one) at level #, (think it was 30), or if you've competed in a certain number of quests, or if you've QMed about 15 times. But today, I saw a contradicting article on the FAQs saying you can only create a new character at level 50. Which is correct? [:P] Not that I plan on switching heroes anytime soon, I just want to make sure (nerd) [:P] Quote

I don't know if anyone has QMed 15 times (besides Sandy, of course). Quote
Asphalt Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I thought it was leveled to 50, QM'd 5, or participated in 15. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I thought it was leveled to 50, QM'd 5, or participated in 15. I could have sworn that the Level 50 qualification was dropped, but I can't seem to find that ruling anywhere. Quote
Flipz Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Darn you guys for killing the Alchemists before they could use up their overpowered loot! Important Notice for 118: There might be a day or two's pause while I finish writing up all these notes and put the finishing touches on the sets (they're...interesting, to say the least ). I think I can safely say that at least one of you should really enjoy it, though! Quote
Flare Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I could have sworn that the Level 50 qualification was dropped, but I can't seem to find that ruling anywhere. Yeah it was dropped. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I've noticed that it still says that you need to be level 50 to have a second character in the first post in the rules topic, though. Quote

Khorne Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) That first quest was really good. I would love to see it finished. Too bad Zark is gone. I didn't find it overly special, though. It was kind of basic  . Too bad I didn't get to introduce my antagonists and Victoria Vries, though. Those were some damn badass characters . My next two quests are up! One is a relatively short Hinckwell/Shadeaux quest, while the other is a longer Ziegfried quest. Both feature main faction NPCs we haven't really seen much of yet. Wow, where do you find all of this time to host these Quests, build sets and take pictures, oversee Heroica RPG and having a life? Seriously, respect . Flare's first quest is one of my very favorite quests of Heroica history for it's sheer bizarreness. I really hope I get back for the Zeigfried quest! Yeah, that was one bizarre Quest . Too bad, I had to quit halfway... Would've loved seeing it through to the end. I loved the party dynamic with Pretzel and Erdy . EDIT: Also, shoot concerning those Overkill Glovs... They're so awesome, I really would've wanted a pair.. Ah well. Edited January 6, 2015 by Khorne Quote

My vacation continues for this week so I'll do as much preparation for the quests as I can before getting back to my day job again. Quote
Flipz Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Sandy, you have a lot more faith in the loot rolls than I do. If I was running that Fields battle, every single one of those goddamn sheep would end up dropping Raw Meat, I just know it. This is the season of class changes, it seems...that's a minimum of four different characters planning to side-grade to a different class (that I know of), plus *loses count* a LOT more advancing from basic to Advanced or Advanced to Expert. Flare Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 If Alexis, Althior, and Benji were chosen in Quest 125 it would be very interesting to see how the reunification will be like... Quote
K-Nut Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 If Alexis, Althior, and Benji were chosen in Quest 125 it would be very interesting to see how the reunification will be like... Shit would go down. I feel like a party of Althior, Alexis, and Arthur would be full of angst too. Quote
