Flipz Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 PC With Most Job Class Changes: Vote: Benjimoni Carvenhall Yeah, another Henry's event would be really cool . As has been said, it's been two years since the last one and lots has transpired in the meantime. Plus, there's also a bunch of whole new players and characters. Perhaps a new category could be: "Best Second Character"? Is he, though? I feel like, with me going either Chi Monk or Weather Mage for the next Quest (leaning Weather Mage because yes) and then likely swapping back to Dragoon afterwards, Arthur may be tying with him soon. Ooh, I second that second suggestion! EDIT: ... Quote
bionicle_fanatic Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 But always two, there are - a master and an apprentice. Which was this? XD [:P] Quote
Endgame Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Sorry, 105ers, 115ers, and Championship Cup, the same weather that cancelled my obligations also knocked out the power for two days. Winds that cause a drop to -30 degrees plus assorted precipitations were too much for the power lines, appaarently. 115 is going to conclude this weekend, and 105 is n its very definitely final battle. Asphalt Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Glad you are doing alright man. The weather the past few weeks has been nothing to laugh at. Quote
swils Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 So, Bricksandparts, you're totally gonna sell me that Cerberus card, right? Quote
Zepher Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I think I'm going to wedge in all my important Eubric NPCs in Quest #123. I hope. I also hope I'm not forgetting anyone. Nstickney, this quest is partially dedicated to you, by the way. With all the heavy handed seriousness of 102, I figured I owed you and Eubric a bit of a kinder quest. ...As a player, I haven't yet experienced a straightforward quest where Heroes have even the opportunity to be unequivocally good guys. Such quests do exist: for instance, the one where the magic school was being devoured by a void eater thingee. I think that as morally exhausting as the final Baltarok battle and Debts have been, I'd sign Matthias up for a "Kill 10 Large Rats" quest line just to have a break. I have enough moral weight in my daily work; I'd like to think that gaming might be an escape - a way to put things in perspective, sure, or to explore concepts and morality, but in a more fun/lighter way. Daeth Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Well, looks like I'm back. Really apologize for being inactive during that quest. Hopefully I can manage to be a bit more active now. Quote

K-Nut Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Was there something wrong with my class change? It think it's just Sandy copying and pasting from your first sign up before the class change. Edited January 11, 2015 by K-Nut Quote

CMP Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I like the options with the blacksmith, emjajoas, but it needs to be revised heavily before Guts gives Mythril Edge the poison-by-100 effect. Quote
Duvors Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I don't know why I haven't done this before, but this topic is now pinned to the top of the forum as well. Yippieee! I like the options with the blacksmith, emjajoas, but it needs to be revised heavily before Guts gives Mythril Edge the poison-by-100 effect. Yes, let's stop him from becoming more invincible than he already is. Well, looks like I'm back. Really apologize for being inactive during that quest. Hopefully I can manage to be a bit more active now. Welcome back frog cleric person! Quote
Kintobor Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Sorry to basically Endgame and my questees, no update tonight. I'm on my phone and without a lab top, and losing power. I'll have updates tomorrow, but all's well, no need to worry. Quote
Flipz Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yes, let's stop him from becoming more invincible than he already is. Guts? He ain't invincible. He just hits like a truck. Toss him up against a few high-Level Ice Wraiths and he'll be singing a different tune; it's our fault as QMs that he's constantly against Humanoids that he already hits for massive damage. Well, looks like I'm back. Really apologize for being inactive during that quest. Hopefully I can manage to be a bit more active now. What happened? It's not that I'm not accepting your apology ( ) it's jus that I'm interested... I, too, would like to know what happened. Quote

CMP Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 What would you recommend for revisions? A Cap on the DOT effects? That and a boost in price. 15 gold is WAYYYY too low, even for poison by 1. Quote
Emjajoas Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) What would you recommend as a base for Poison:1, then? 20 gold? 25 gold? I was afraid of making it too pricey; I originally had both Bleeding:5 and Poison: 5 at 100 gold but changed it after my friend said it might've been too expensive. Emjajoas Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Alright, editing the DOTs accordingly. 80 gold for a stack of poison:1, 400 for a stack of bleeding:5. Sound fair enough? Sorry, 121ers, its too late to cheat the system now. Should've acted faster. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I'd like to make sure Sandy is actually aware of the options that are being sold here and is OK with it as alot of these options are going to affect the balance of the game beyond this single quest. We're talking about specifically crafting a tailored weapon and armor for market cost. Most folks wait years to even find a weapon or artifact by chance that they can tailor toward their build. I can't say I'm a fan of most of what's being offered here to begin with, chances to inflict negative effects aside from Poison or Bleeding, custom built immunities lower than the cost of scrolls and imbuement, extra SP to artifacts... It's a min-maxer's dream and in my opinion I think it should stay that way. Quote
Emjajoas Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) You raise some valid concerns that hadn't come to mind when I was working through this. I'll take out the extra SP to artifacts and the bought immunities and consult with Sandy about the chance to inflict effects on the weapons. Would you recommend a price hike on some of the weapon effects as a quick fix of sorts? And I'd like to apologize in advance for any problems I have caused/will cause with this. I thought it might be a cool idea to do; I hadn't thought of the negative repercussions game-wise and that's all on me. Edited January 11, 2015 by Emjajoas Quote
Flipz Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Take a look at how Scuba handled a similar shop in Quest 96 (I'm typing up a Round right now, so no reference link, sorry), it should give you a good idea of how to handle this shop. Quote

I think the services and prices there were pretty reasonable. Quote
