Sandy Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 That's not what I'm talking about. Pet Dragon and Decamon Summon are job traits. I don't believe Evoker nor Necromancer have job traits that let them use summons outside of battle. Summoning outside of battle falls under the Spellcasting job trait - the spirits are just a manifestation of an Evoker's spell, after all. Controlling undead outside of battle falls under the Spiritism job trait. I know they do not specifically list what the summons and undead can do outside of battle, but I don't want to restrict player's creativity too much. This was another matter, though, since Arthur was using his pet dragon in a way that should only be available to Dragoons. But I'm satisfied with the way it was resolved. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I just wanted to say thanks to Pathaldric, for all the work you put in on the Castle Eurobricks LDraw Models - if I'd had had to build the two smithies digitally in LDraw, I doubt I'd have had the time to make the picture at the end of my Training Room post. Thank you. I always tell myself I need to get back and finish the Castle Models once and for all, but I can't even get myself to complete the models for my quest. Oh troublesome me! Quote
Endgame Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Roye Cour and Guts are obviously brothers seperated at birth, as Royce would have the exact same face if he was among the living. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Roye Cour and Guts are obviously brothers seperated at birth, as Royce would have the exact same face if he was among the living. Well, if you have read Guts' backstory (now avaliable on the heroica-rpg™) you know that he does not know his parents so it's not impossible. Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I've been playing too much Dungeons and Dragons, I keep wanting to roll an athletics check to get up the vines. Quote
Flipz Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) I've been playing too much Dungeons and Dragons, I keep wanting to roll an athletics check to get up the vines. Oh gods. I once came within one saving throw of death just by trying to jump from the roof of a one-story shack to the ground because of those athletics checks. Edited January 21, 2015 by Flipz Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Oh gods. I once came within one saving throw of death just by trying to jump from the roof of a one-story shack to the ground because of those athletics checks. You like to live on the edge don't you? Quote
Flipz Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 You like to live on the edge don't you? Hey, Ray of Frost has a 60-foot range and the edge of the roof was 65 feet away from the enemy I had to slow before he could kill our only healer; how was I supposed to not jump off the roof while blasting an icy beam at it? (For the record, I critted the attack roll, killing the enemy, and then critical failed the athletics check to land safely. The party reaction was just about what you'd expect. ) Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Hey, I didn't change its name: You have to start a mithrillized weapon's name with mithril. I was forced. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 "I will treat this shield with a comparable level of care as to that which I would extend to a first-born child." That shield will either be useless to Lind or Lind treats first-born children very poorly indeed. "Get your sword here, sir!" Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 That shield will either be useless to Lind or Lind treats first-born children very poorly indeed. "Get your sword here, sir!" That's why Lind said "comparable" instead of "same". If he treated it on the same level as he would a first-born child, then...well, he probably shouldn't have kids. But, if he's treating with a comparable level of care, that's a whole different story. Quote

Zepher Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hey all! Over the next few days there will be a day or two that I am unable to get online! I'm not entirely sure what day it is yet - I've only finally gotten my visa to get over to Europe, so my day of transport is still in flux and then I'll probably need a day or two to settle in. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully 123 has been at a pace where it won't be too much trouble, and PLs can control my various characters. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 You have to start a mithrillized weapon's name with mithril. I was forced. Major reason I didn't want a hollow blade for my scepter. Scepter of Hollow Infinity doesn't have the same ring to it. Quote
Khorne Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Is the "puke" on the fairy's head Photoshopped or is that an actual head you used, Sandy? I don't recognize it.. Re #117: I find it friggin' hilarious that we're just gonna dump a dead Paladin's body in a ditch outside besides the road . Probably the first Quest in which the (semi-)employer is first killed, then looted and then buried in a makeshift grave outside an inn by Heroes. Love it! Quote
K-Nut Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 It's from one of the Ultra Agents from last summer. I think the figures name is Toxikita or something? I will say, Sandy, I am loving all the figbarfs on Quest #124 and can't wait to see what you've cooked up for #125. Quote
CMP Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 "But you have to believe me, because I hired you." Lilly pouted and frowned to emphasize her words. She needs to take a look through the Heroica archive sometime. Quote

I thought it was a Photoshopped version of one of the early Agents' villainesses. I wasn't familiar with "Ultra" Agents so I checked out that line and there are lots of cool characters there I didn't know of. Quote

Flipz Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Did...did I just find a logical reason for Arthur's Mary Sue backstory tribe to be involved with both dimension-hopping and Chaos?! Quote

Flipz Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Have to admit, though, it sort of makes sense--if you think of space and time like a rug, if you fold and stretch it in one place, it increases the strain on it in another, making it easier to tear a hole in it at that spot. And actually, that's kind of scary--presumably, the bag of holding plane gets expanded every time a new person gets a Bag of Holding, which would be at least every time a new Hero joins Heroica; thus, every new Hero brings the archdemons of Zoot one step closer to unleashing the hordes of demons in the Void upon Olegaia. Or, you know, I'm just making up technobabble as I go, take your pick. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) That's actually a concept (demons ripping through to the physical plane with every expenditure of magic) prevalent in quite a few fantasy RPGs. Edited January 22, 2015 by Waterbrick Down Quote
Endgame Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The Regret has been messing with the space-time continuum for the past two thousand years, we may not have a lot to be concerned about. Quote
