I do have a plan! It involves every single hunter on the island (about 10,000) dying, for starters. Plus, various allied NPCs may find themselves in the marke for entrails and a soul.

I'm assuming you're referring to the heroes losing to the Reaper, and not sparing him.

Hey guys, sorry for the wait! I will be able to update tonight (in a few minutes) and then tomorrow all day, but Saturday and Sunday look to be my (very long...) transport days, and who knows how I'll be feeling on Monday. Tuesday at the latest I should be returned to posting. Sorry for the trouble!

Matthias is dumbstruck... What is this guy talking about?

Those were my thoughts exactly :poke: . I haven't followed Lind really closely, but I find his change from pun-making Rogue to stoic, dead-inside, emotionally-distant and self-proclaimed nightmare for bad kids Black Knight quite sudden :sceptic: . Or did something happen to him while he was away with his family that has yet to be revealed?

"Yes."

"Besides, you really want your parents to come in and spoil this fun?"

 Is it just me, or does this sentence sound...kind of creepy? :look:

Paladin Dameon Rollinger.

Why do I have a feeling he's 'not quite dead'...

The Black Knight shook his head as he casually shoved Statler aside, and talked towards the unconscious corpse of the gnome.

How is it a corpse if the individual is still alive? Unconscious body could work, but a corpse means someone is dead.

I meant it figuratively.

It still makes no sense, and I'm certain that it violates some grammatical rule. A better way of saying it would be 'corpse-like form'.

I've had a really crappy weekend, and the rest of this week isn't looking too good, either, so apologies if my participation isn't quite up to my normal standard. :sceptic:

Drops: Ambrose’s Heart (Sapphire crystal. Suitable to Evokers. Cannot be imbued. +7 Power Bonus to summoned spirit.)
Demonic Shard (WP:15, causes bleeding:10, longsword, suitable to barbarian classes, prevents the use of a shield)

Not really sure that these items should exist like this. A gem that's useless to all except Evokers and gives a small bonus? And you can't get rid of it by imbuing or selling, so it would be permanently in someone's inventory without being used... Why not make it an artifact instead, giving Evoker's summoned (wind) spirits a power bonus? Although last I heard we weren't supposed to mess with buffing summons.

And the sword... it's only suitable to Barbarians yet they can't use longswords, or shields? I'm fine with the weapon's power, it just seems unreasonable to restrict its use in such a way (that's also unconventional to the weapon-type system we have in place).

That's something I don't understand with Siercon's weapon.

Which one? I'm pretty sure all of his weapons are established types (Spears, wands, and scythes).

I think a Beserker could carry it, since it's a barbarian class that also allows allows the use of a longsword through the combination with the knight class, but not being able to carry a shield negates most of the usefulness...

Agreed, though I'm pretty sure the restriction on summon-buffing is limited to "no more Artifacts that apply Effects to summons that don't have HP" (Evoker spirits, undead, Decamon summons); I'm pretty sure that flat stat bonuses are okay, based on the existence of the Staff of the Necromancer. (That being said, I wouldn't mind Artifacts for Dragoons that would buff the Dragon hint hint. )

Spear of the Dark Priest (WP:8, Darkness elemental, suitable for magic users)

Posted

Is it not just a staff called a spear?

I'd say not, because spears are unsuitable to mage classes except Battle Mages and Mimes. So the weapon is basically limited to those classes.

I know Sandy's said multiple times that weapons should never be described as "suitable for X" but should always use one of the pre-existing weapon types; I think perhaps our QMs need to be reminded of that, particularly the new ones.

I know the urge to create lots of cool stuff for players to play with, believe me, I do. But if you don't think about what effect your items will have on the game and aren't careful to design them in a rules-friendly way, you'll just end up creating a bunch of headaches for both you and whatever poor QMs end up hosting your players after you. :sceptic:
