bionicle_fanatic Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I just want to add that that was a lovely, readable post and I'm proud of you. When I don't use emotes, it means I'm being serious I can't control my tongue. Quote
Sandy Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 If the autocorrect is making it impossible for people to read my posts properly, then go complain to an admin or something. I'm not gonna change how I like to write just because it doesn't fit with your program. But it does make you look like kind of a d**k, whether that is your intention or not. And that results in people not wanting to communicate with you. And in a social, community-based game like this, that's kind of a bad thing. It's not like people here are deliberately trying to evict you for those silly emoticons, we are just trying to get it into your head that your writing style in the context of this forum is distracting. We really WANT you to feel welcome to this community and have fun, or else we wouldn't bother addressing this issue. Your haughty, arrogant comments just make it really hard for us to keep caring about you. So if you want to be a d**k, be a d**k. Like I said earlier, it won't earn you any friends but at least you'll get to hold on to your high principles. Quote
Mencot Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Welcome Robertant10, very cool fig you have made up. Looking forwards to the character and RP stories. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) I'm sorry, I'm not going to stop using these emotes, autocorrect or not. I'm home educated, so I haven't been subjected to the idea that you have to bow to the wishes of the multitude. Peer pressure means nothing to me. I could attempt to dissect out and apart the flaws in your logos*, and the misrepresentations of the merits of familial domicile tutelage that you have brilliantly crafted in this electric ephistle, but Cronus suggests that words from such a inconsequential being as mine self are below the consideration of such a sophomoric revolutionary. So, I will merely suggest that you show the postings relating to your brave plebian defiance of the societal pressures of the opressive Eurobricks moderator bourgeoisie to your mother**, as a token of how you have excelled*** at putting the lessons she has taught you into public practice and exhibition. *Or lack thereof. **Or father. ***Sarcasm? Who could possibly take my laudatory magniloquence to be sarcastic? You suggest that my words hint of bombast? Fie, upon thee! Edited January 31, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote

Zepher Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 It's not a question of confirming, it's a question of consideration. An analogy: If you slurp your soup at home, that's fine. If you slurp your soup in public, it might make other people unhappy. So do you still slurp your soup in public? Either way, you control your actions, but the way you behave reflects on your character. That's all I've got to say on the matter. I like you and I like playing alongside you, but it always bums me out when my friends insist on slurping soup. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Here's a purist artistic take on Nalguz the Infinite if you'd like to use it, Robert10ant. Plus with over 10 posts, you should now be able to put your hero in your Signature now. Quote
Robert10ant Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Wow, thanks Waterbrick Down! That looks pretty cool. Now, please don't take this as being ungrateful, but is there any chance you could make the legs a bit longer? That would be appreciated. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Here's about as long as I can go and still achieve color consistency. Any longer and you're probably going to start looking disproportionate anyways. Quote
Yzalirk Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Wow, Waterbrick, that looks insane! I mean that in a good way, of course. Robert, I recommend taking Waterbrick's advice and use use what he's provided you. You don't want to have a character with large legs and an a large thorax (is that the back part of the spider?) and be stuck with a tiny body. It just makes no sense. But I would definitely be more terrified of Waterbrick's version of Nalguz rather than the pink one. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Wow, thanks Waterbrick Down! That looks pretty cool. Full agreement, and then some. I especially like the use of tan teeth for tips. Robert, I recommend taking Waterbrick's advice and use use what he's provided you. You don't want to have a character with large legs and an a large thorax (is that the back part of the spider?) and be stuck with a tiny body. It just makes no sense. Actually, the difference in size is one of the things I especially like about Robert's spider, seeing as how real life spiders often(I'm having trouble thinking of any that don't) have legs and thoraxes that are significantly larger than their abdomen. But I would definitely be more terrified of Waterbrick's version of Nalguz rather than the pink one. The magenta is a bit different, but I like it in addition to Waterbrick's color scheme. It gives it a little bit more character. Of course, for the character that he's been so far, the darker pallet of Waterbrick's versin is probably more appropriate. Asphalt Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Excellent spider sir. I might have to attempt one of those. Quote
Duvors Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Full agreement, and then some. I especially like the use of tan teeth for tips. I agree, I like that far better than the second version. Quote
Chromeknight Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Hey Zeph, are you sure there's four paladins(or ex-P) about? From the front page of the hall I count Alexandre, Boomingham, Pretzel and Nerwen. And I don't think Boomingham's gonna sign up... Edited February 1, 2015 by Chromeknight Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I could become a Paladin then go back to being a Sage immediately after, maybe? Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I was actually only just now checking the same thing. Maybe someone will go Paladin... and maybe I'll have to have Shu Yu be a little bit more open minded. Maybe any Cleric/Knight advanced classes allowed, along with ex-Paladins? There was once upon a time enough Paladins, but I guess things have changed. What do you guys think? And I'm glad you're interested in the quest! I would really like at least a majority of returning characters. It's going to be a... pretty intense quest. I'm pretty excited, personally. Quote
StickFig Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 "Doubtful. I'm pretty sure I don't read...whatever it is you write." Miderun crossed her arms. Yeah, greenskins don't need trashy romance novels... or calculus textbooks... or anything in between! It's going to be a... pretty intense quest. I'm pretty excited, personally. Looking forward to reading! Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Yeah, I'm getting ready for the finale, which means no more secrets. In the same way that 100 could have revealed Baba's true nature... that's what this quest is for my secrets. So hopefully we'll have a good time - it will be lore heavy, but I think/hope I've learned how to handle that better since my older lore heavy quests. But seriously, what do people think? There's not enough Paladins. Modify the requirements? Get rid of them entirely? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Accept Clerics if you want to stay with the requirements, Clerics can worship Ennoc, right? Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Yeah but I don't know if they'll pack enough of a punch. Two options: -Open to all original knights and clerics -Open to ex-paladins and advanced cleric classes I feel like the first one is easier, but the second one might allow for more players. Or maybe I should just get rid of the requirements all together. Sorry for all the confusion, guys. That was silly not to check before hand. I do like real party requirements though, I think it sometimes brings a specific feel to a quest. Though if anyone wants to go Paladin, I wouldn't say no. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Accept all original knights and clerics and give them an incentive to go Paladin in-quest, like in the Baltarok quest.? (e.g. Paladins will deal extra damage in the quest or something) Quote
Zepher Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Sounds like a good plan, though I won't force anyone to go Paladin. Thanks Scuba (and sorry for the trouble Sandy). Quote

Kintobor Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 "My mom build it for me. My dad always yammers on about how good she is with her hands." I don't know if that line was meant to be sexual, but I got a giggle out of this. An incredibly juvenile giggle. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I don't know if that line was meant to be sexual, but I got a giggle out of this. An incredibly juvenile giggle. I was really tempted to comment on that, but it was too out of character for Althior. Finnegan would have made that same giggle. Quote
