UsernameMDM Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) This is fantastically perfect WBD! I dig the color scheme. Plus Robert, in quest QMs will only use the 100x100 pixel headshot, so you can say/pretend your legs are as ling as you want them to be Maybe any Cleric/Knight advanced classes allowed, along with ex-Paladins? There was once upon a time enough Paladins, but I guess things have changed. What do you guys think? *Sniff*Sniff* Zepher quests? /purrs like a kitty. Edited February 1, 2015 by UsernameMDM Quote

Someone's excited. Was 88 the last time I hosted you? Might be able to make that quest up to you. And, my normal promotional tool, characters will be re-appearing from Quest: 68, 72, 78, 84, 92, 102, 107, 123. So, if anyone loved any NPCs on those quests and want to catch up with them, now is your chance. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 *Sniff*Sniff* Zepher quests? /purrs like a kitty. I know - I was imagining a certain black orb of power as I read the description... Ah, well, I doubt Rogue->Black Knight would be accepted, even if the req. were a bit looser. And, #122 fits Lind better - although the Intimidation mixup somewhat spoiled the vibe I was trying for... UsernameMDM Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I know - I was imagining a certain black orb of power as I read the description... Prob not as (so far) this is two different story arcs. Was 88 the last time I hosted you? Might be able to make that quest up to you. That is correct. Quote

I know - I was trying to use it subtly, by having Lind speak as if something was certain, forcing people to either challenge him or be gently intimidated into agreeing with it. Quote

Intimidation - Rather than using Diplomacy, the Black Knight gets their way by instilling fear. You're overcomplicating it. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) I never took black knights to be subtle in any way. They are just this side of an evil tyrant, ruling with an iron fist and such. They are a bully, the Might makes Right sort. At least that is how I imagined they filled their niche. To each their own interpretation. Edited February 1, 2015 by Asphalt Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Intimidation - Rather than using Diplomacy, the Black Knight gets their way by instilling fear. You're overcomplicating it. Okay, I see the difference now. It was nearly in the right territory, but not quite... And thus, the job trait of Intimidating Diplomacy was inspired... I never took black knights to be subtle in any way. They are just this side of an evil tyrant, ruling with an iron fist and such. They are a bully, the Might makes Right sort. At least that is how I imagined they filled their niche. To each their own interpretation. I'm trying to play him as sort of an anti-paladin. He's not tyrannical, he just takes the more direct path to a goal. With the use of Intimidation, I was trying to be more of the 'smiling politician with a hidden agenda,' than of the usual frightening fallen knight. It's going to be interesting playing him in later quests, because it's going to seem as if he has radical mood swings, when in fact it's just that his mood and demeanor changes based on the situation and how it relates to him or the background/responsibilities he comes from. UsernameMDM Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Just a friendly tip Robert - there have been a few PCs who came in acting like jerks in character and were quickly shunned/alienated. They eventually lightened up and have become well received PCs. So play the character but know there may be interaction consequences. Interested to see how your PC develops. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Politician, even an evil one, would still be using Diplomacy. Duvors Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Or red. Especially red, spiders with bright underbellies look cool.By the way, did you guys know that spiders don't actually have thoraxes? Just heads and abdomens. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Everything with a bright underbelly looks cool. That is one of the things that separates insects from arachnids. But I believe it is cephalothorax and abdomen, not head and abdomen. Quote
Yzalirk Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 It's not like it matters, guys, since the picture will just of a head-shot. Quote

The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I want your guys honest opinion: Mystic Knight+Steady supply of poison or Evoker+Steady supply of poison? Quote
Myrddyn Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 If it's just about inflicting poison damage, I'd recommend Mystic Knight over Evoker. You can't apply poison to your summons, and they don't inflict effects from your weapon, so you'd only be applying poison to an enemy on rolls of Crit, Hit and Miss. Mystic Knight applies poison on rolls of Shield, Crit, and Hit, but on the shield roll applies it multiple times. Battle Mage applies it on rolls of Shield, Crit, Hit and Miss, and applies it to all enemies on the Shield roll. However, Battle Mage also takes damage on Miss rolls, and against a smaller number of enemies, Mystic Knight can apply poison multiple times to the same enemy on a Shield roll. "Do you by chance still have this heroic plunger?" Siercon said with an audible smile. Plunger (WP:2; 1/2 chance to cause sudden death to an aquatic enemy with each hit; club). Erik has it. Quote
