To be perfectly honest it is the magic. I am a Christian and according to the Bible (pm me if you want to hear specific verses) all magic is wrong. I knew that when I first joined, but disobeyed. After talking with some older Christians, I realized I really shouldn't participate if I want to be a witness for Christ. Rather hypocrytical don't ya know

So that is my reason

Well, I never expected to hear that sort of a reason in this day and age, but if that's your belief then the others just have to respect that.

I just want to make a claimer that no magic spells or pagan rituals were used in the creation of this game.

Awesome angel for Cronk! I'm sure High Priestess Alisameth is very proud. :cry_happy:

It does look very cool - great use of the Statue of Liberty head.

What?!?!?! :oh:

That ruins everything about the game!

Thanks! She was just something I whipped up quickly in the spur of the moment, I did not plan for it.

But if you're jealous, Zepher, I can make a picture of Barty as well.

I love Crock's angel! Where's the green female torso from, Sandy?

The torso looks like a Bride torso Photoshopped to be green. Really nice angel, I love how you used the Series 6 Statue of Liberty to make an Orc. Now why didn't I think of that when I was asked to make a female Orc? :sceptic:

It's too bad you're leaving, Sir Glorfindel. We'll miss you!

I think Sandy 'shopped the bride torso from the wedding topper set. Nevertheless, it looks great! The use of the S6 Statue of Liberty's head as a female orc is genius!

EDIT: Ivy beat me to it!

That's right, I used my l33t photoshopping skillz.

And I don't think it's that genius of an idea, it was my first thought when I saw the Lady Liberty preliminary picture: "that would make a fine head for a young female orc".

Mine too. I do remember seeing a MOC in Historic themes using that face, but I'm too lazy to go and find it.

I wonder if she would been seen as unattractive by other orcs, she doesn't have any fangs!

But yeah, it's one of few good uses for the LL minifig.

Oh, and if Maurice ever becomes he a Paladin I imagine his angel would a cranky old lady!

K-nut: You were probably thinking of this one by robuko, right? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65481

That's quite alright. Barty is a whelp, I don't think he'd be seen as a full grown angel yet. I have something to represent him with, I just haven't updated Boomingham to his paladin picture yet (I have to figure out a way to attach him two swords to him, and to hang the angel in the air). But thank you for the offer  .

Cronk, welcome to the Paladin order buddy.

If Boomingham is not wearing a cloak, try a couple tiny blobs of clay. If he is, and the cloak isn't too rare of a color (i.e. if it's black or brown or something), maybe you could cut a couple slits in the top of the cloak and slide the blades in there.

Also, a question for everyone: what do you feel about battles in which one (or more) enemies can summon more enemies? How would you balance such an encounter? Should an infinite number of enemies be possible, or should there be an upper limit? Should the reinforcements be of the same strength as the original foe(s), or should they only be weaker lackey "meat shields" for the main enemies?

Food for thought discussion.

Did you get this question from the battle going on in Family History?

I like a challenging battle, myself. But I noticed that my heroes were getting completely owned, so I sent in a secondary guard when the Head guard's special damage went off again.

Well, I would make it somewhat like this:

Random Monster A

Level: _

Special 1: Summon (Summons another Random Monster when less than _ Random Monsters are present in the Battle)

Special 2: (Some Random Attack): Used when more than _ Random Monsters are present in the Battle.

Drops: _______

...yes.

Quest 16's infamous ant battle is another good example, though.

This brings up another question. In terms of fight difficulty, the healing of very weak enemies or the revival of downed enemies is roughly equivalent to adding more enemies of an identical type. Which do you prefer, reviving or adding more foes?

It's not a real quest unless the party looses at least one battle, and even better if it's humiliating like loosing to a bunch of insects. :devil_laugh:

Hmmmm, that gives me an idea:

Naked Guard A

Level: 3

Type: Human

Health: _/_

Special 1: Towel Snap: Deals 5 Damage to a Hero, regardless of row or SP

Special 2: Hysterical Scream: Calls more Guards from the bath house to join the battle. Only used when the Guard is below full Health

Drops: Wet Towel: WP:1

:grin::devil:

I know... It's just when I C&P your stats and stuff, it comes out as a wall of text that I have to fix every time. default_sceptic.gif So I just don't like doing it. Don't worry though, it will be done!

It was a good puzzle, but I think slightly too complex for Heroica due to the long waiting times between making a move and knowing what the effects of that move were. That was probably mostly due to timezone differences though, you tend to come online just before I go to bed.

Yes, that was a realization but I'm glad it took long enough for everyone to participate.

Still, good to see something in this quest that wasn't just another battle, though the battles are much appreciated, just hope there's at least one more before the end.

Right. I had expected you guys and gals to use the compass more often, in which case you would've missed most of the item pick ups. But more on that after! The quest is almost complete.
