Cutcobra Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 It wasn't a solid set, it was just a suggestion of what I think the set should be (risk and reward) in case future QMs want to include a similar one. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Seeing the others prepare for battle when free hits are almost guaranteed, Warlen sniffs a smelling salts. With his second action, he does as above. OOC: If I can't have an extra action in the same turn disregard this post. OOC: Only one action per turn my friend. Taking a Smelling Salts hastens Warlen, so he does get another action. Edited February 27, 2015 by Palathadric Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Debating the pros and cons of this idea: Assault Shield: SP:2, unlocks the additional Job Trait Assault, suitable for all shield-carrying classes. Assault: After naming their primary target, the Hero can specify a secondary target to bash with their shield, with a 1/2 chance of doing their Power level x their shield's defense power in damage against that target EDIT: Changed down to SP:2, after I realized how much 4 times the typical Power level would be. Multiplied by their level? I would switch back to Paladin if I were to get a shield like that. Quote
Flipz Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Taking a Smelling Salts hastens Warlen, so he does get another action. Pala is 100% correct here; in fact, this is why so few people use Smelling Salts ahead of time, since they can effectively be used for free on the first Round while still attacking. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Pala is 100% correct here; Actually, only 99% correct since there's always the chance that there's a super secret passive special that *slows* all heroes. By the way, KotZ, Warlen is "Hastened" not "Encouraged". Quote
Enceladus Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Oh dear, now Em seems to think Na'im is more blind than he looks after asking if their were any quests Of course I'm fairly certain that pitch could only have been set up a maximum of ten hours after posting that I supose it was just a coincidence that Sandy posted directly after me Quote
Emjajoas Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) The intent was that Em uncomfortable with Na'im's approach-- he pointed out the recently-posted quest to sort of get Na'im off his case. The "fine heroes" in addition to the more aggressive word choice in the later sentences would've made him a tad uncomfortable, especially when he's a little worn-down as it is. Em doesn't think Na'im blind or stupid, only a bit off-putting. Sorry for the confusion. Edited February 27, 2015 by Emjajoas Quote

Em doesn't think Na'im blind or stupid, only a bit off-putting. Sorry for the confusion. Entirely understandable and that was kind of my intention. Na'im is a difficult character to read and half of his manner is designed to get a reaction out of people (and it seems he succeeded!). Actually the irony is that na'ims eyesight isn't great anyway! It's good to hear em isn't a predujuced character! Quote
Flipz Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Em runs his gaze across Na'im, frowning slightly. "I am a Warden. And I don't know what you want, Na'im, but flattery will get you nothing from me." "You'll get no sympathy from me!"[/ike] Quote

CMP Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 As if guided by the hands of fate itself, Arthur methodically gathers the pages together, reassembling them into a cohesive whole. He slowly begins to read. Arthur stops short. "Lilly..." he says, "this is us. This...this is where our family began, the beginnings of who we all are today..." Silently, swiftly, he reads on, following the tale of the siblings and the mysterious black book. "...I know that book." Yes, you do. With a sudden jerk of his wrist, he throws the papers to Althior and Alexis, instantly regretting his action as the pages scatter instead of staying together. "Sorry...sorry," he apologizes subduedly. "Should have thought that one through." He pauses as he picks up papers and hands them to the two ex-lovers. "I...have a request, actually. Feel free to jump in and help out and stuff, but...when we're done I'd like to be the one who reads the full story to Lilly. It's a family tale. She should hear it from me." "You're too emotional. Grow up." Where the hell was this Alexis in Quest 53? Quote
Zepher Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I'm hoping for a class reunion of 53 at some point. The characters have only gotten better. Quote

Zepher Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I'm sure it can! XX is still around to give out bombs. And I only have one more quest to host after 127 before I hit the finale of ALL these stories I've been working on. Quote

Since when is this kosher?: The Metasimian turned to the recently-entered Barbarian. "Ah, yes. Well, that would depend on exactly what you're looking for." He waved an arm in a half-circle. "Around us, above us, under us - probably inside of us(Inside our plane, rather - I have all sorts of oddities come in here.) - that's about as specific a location as I can give you for the general question of where you can 'learn more'. But, if there's anything specific you're after, I could try to guide you towards tomes speaking directly on the matter, or try and remember a few thoughts from my own readings." OoC: Since #122 is a bit slow at the moment, I thought I might be able to field this - if Sandy doesn't mind...? Quote

What year is it again? I'm looking forward to it. Since when is this kosher?: As far as I know, it's not. UsernameMDM Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 So is this Zepher grand finale going to have a dozen or so PCs? :D Quote

Sometimes Sandy lets people put in information about information regarding Quests that they're hosting that a prospective player is searching for. EDITed. I apologize if/that I stepped out of bounds. Mencot specifically said that the question he was asking was for RP purposes, and I unthinkingly made the assumption that I could simultaneously save Sandy some work* and fill in some free time. My apologies. *I would only have quoted information posts that had already been made - had it gone anywhere beyond that, I'd have stepped back instantly. Edited March 2, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote
