Zepher Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 So is this Zepher grand finale going to have a dozen or so PCs? :D That's the part I'm still trying to figure out. One of the reasons 53 was a bit of a mess was the number of PCs. So either I will have to get inventive (which I'm still very much considering) or make some difficult choices as to who comes along. It's genuinely one of the hardest parts of planning the quest so far, for me. Getting Haldor back may prove interesting. That soon? I better speed up on getting my crossbow ready. Yeah, we're down a few heroes: Cronk, Thothwick, Haldor. They're all missed, but it will leave room for some new faces who have been on a few Zepher quests. The questees who have exclusively gone on Wren quests will probably understand the least of what's going on at this point, in all honesty. Quote

JimBee Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Relating to my post in the Hall, I would just like to point out that Nur has the ingredients to a very potent Chi Monk build. If he had the Metal Claw and equipped it along with the Cobra Nemes and Lichen Armor (and maybe Fighting Boots for good measure), you'd have a build that could hit hard and be hit hard without being KO'd very often. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 He has the same face and hat as the male Chi Monk in the picture in the Training Room too. Maybe it's destiny? Quote

JimBee Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I don't quite see Lind becoming one, but how well would an Anniversary Medal work for a Chi Monk build? Probably about the same as for any class. You'll maximize its use with any ether-using class thanks to the bonus. Quote
Kintobor Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Had an idea for an item and was wondering what people thought. I might throw it in an upcoming quest if it's well received. Jarate- Deals the Humiliated effect to one opponent, causing all WP to be tripled when attacking the affected opponent for three rounds. Consumable. Edited March 2, 2015 by Kintobor Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 It should only work if the user says "Heads up!", "Bombs away!" or "Piece-a-piss!" beforehand. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Jarate- Deals the Humiliated effect to one opponent, causing all WP to be tripled when attacking the affected opponent for three rounds. Consumable. Building upon LotN's idea... Jarate - Gives the Cocky effect to the hero against the opponent they are currently fighting, causing all WP to be tripled when attacking the affected opponent for three rounds. Hero must boast to the opponent about their fighting skills while consuming the item. Consumable. In one of my planned quests(not my trilogy, anther one), I actually have a great place for something like this. (There are some merchants who are offering the Guild of Invasion access to some of their new products, and the heroes would get a chance to buy some of them.) Quote
Kintobor Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Building upon LotN's idea... But it's Jarate. It's basically urine in a jar. Quote

LordoftheNoobs Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I don't think you'd be very cocky if you'd just drank your own pee (unless your name's Bear Grylls, I suppose)! Quote

Sandy Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 I apologize if/that I stepped out of bounds. Mencot specifically said that the question he was asking was for RP purposes, and I unthinkingly made the assumption that I could simultaneously save Sandy some work* and fill in some free time. My apologies. If Mencot (or anyone else) wants to ask questions from Byblos for RP purposes only, he can write the librarian's responses himself. I honestly don't have time to make NPCs chatter pointlessly with the players outside of quests. Of course I will do the answering myself if someone wants to know something more about the world of the game - as it is the purpose of the topic. But sometimes I'm not the biggest expert on the stuff that's being asked, in which case I will ask whether the player that knows more about the matter (eg. has created the NPC/country/culture in question) wants to do the answering. LordoftheNoobs Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I think Lind's item suggestion is good too, though. I'd be pleased to use either item. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) What does everyone think about an artifact that takes potential ether power from the rest of your equipped gear, and converts it to your health stats, etc., for cases where the player's class doesn't use ether? That would be immensely pointless since I want to say 95% of artifacts that grant 'potential' ether power are only suitable for classes that use ether anyway. Edited March 2, 2015 by CallMePie Quote

I would consider taking that. Of course, if it takes two artifact slots together...then no. Quote

Instead of a artifact, a consumable to apply to gear...I like it. "Surely, you wouldn't part an old man from his walking stick..." Quote
