Palathadric Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Already preparing for hell. Nerf rogue. Quote
Tachyon Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Nerf rogue. Rogue isn't relevant anymore. I think Alchemist might have taken its place. Quote
Myrddyn Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Yeah, I oppose any nerfing of whatever class Guts is, because if we do he'll find some other way to be the first PC millionaire anyway, and a nerf just makes it harder for other people to catch up. Someone should make a "Millionare" class, maybe that throws money at enemies. On a related topic, I was initially worried about the lack of a "proper" healer in the party, especially for an 8-hero slasher warzone, but per shot Alchemists pay half a gold less for each heal than a cleric class. Maybe we should nerf... the price of tonics? Three times the price of a potion is quite a lot. This would encourage people to play cleric classes, which at the most recent census were the most under-represented class. Mage classes would also benefit from this, but less than healers, since mages tend to use more potions. There's also an inconsistency between the potion to grand potion ratio of gold per HP restored (2HP/G:2.5HP/G), and the tonic to grand tonic ratio of gold per ether restored (~0.33HP/G:0.5HP/G) - grand potions heal 22% more per gold than potions, and grand tonics heal 40% more per gold than tonics. Scubacarrot Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 In my opinion, that's not too important because a cleric or a druid, if you're talking proper healing, will always be healing way more than the 10 from the basic potion. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Clerics rise up and take your proper place in the world!!! Quote

Yeah it's mainly relevant for lower levels, and at higher levels people tend to use grand tonics anyway. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 So which PC has the most titles to their name? Hoke has 5: Champion of the Northern Kingdoms, Kraken Whacker, Titan Smiter, Snake Skinner, and Rock Champion of Decamon. Quote

Hoke has 5: Champion of the Northern Kingdoms, Kraken Whacker, Titan Smiter, Snake Skinner, and Rock Champion of Decamon. I'm guessing it's you. I do really like the idea of titles, and I'd love to see them handed out more often. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I just noticed how many he had when I was updating his stats after the last FoG run. Titles do add a bit of flavor to the game. Quote

Plus most of them come from the FoG too. That's where I got my one and only title (though I think the end of 100 promised another one later on?) Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 What titles exist so far? Aside from what Hoke has, I think there is: a Hero Worth Something, Marketplace Sleuth, Dragon Slayer, Orc Kin, and a couple of others. Quote

K-Nut Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 There's also School Inspector, Carnival Crusader, Fiery Champion and Dark Champion of Decamon, Ghostbuster, and True Hero. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Just a note, Quest 132 will be a long quest, probably my longest yet, so if you're signing up, you're in for a long haul. Quote

K-Nut Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 As in, several months, or bordering on a year? WBD Quests are pretty short on average, so I'm guessing just a few months. Long quests are at most six months, with only a handful going a little over that. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Looking at 3-5 months, depends how active the party. Quote
Flipz Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 For those who have borrowed things from Arthur and/or who I've made pending trades with, could you please leave my stuff with Karie in the Hall/use her as a middleman before you leave? Thanks. Quote

Looking at 3-5 months, depends how active the party. "Oh, you think the long quest is your ally, but you merely adopted the long quest. Me and 5 other players were born in it, molded by it. We didn’t see a normal quest until we were already a couple of levels ahead; by then, it was nothing to me but short!" Quote

Palathadric Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Rogue isn't relevant anymore. I think Alchemist might have taken its place. Or we could just nerf any class Guts switches to. Quote
Zepher Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 All joking aside, I'll be interested to see how Hybros fares. There are some classes I think need serious nerfs still, even though it's always unpopular I feel like it makes the game more fun (and I'm not sure if Alchemist is one, Guts is obviously a bad character to judge that off of). But since no one ever listens to that opinion I just generally don't bring them on quests and hope to not play alongside them. (Not that I feel the players are doing anything wrong by playing the classes, they just take the fun out of the battles for me! It's particularly sad when it's players I enjoy playing with). Quote
