Cutcobra Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Protip, Cutcobra: I found on 104 that PMing players individually when their characters are the only ones to notice or see something produces more interesting results. EDIT: ...wait, this wasn't the QM Lounge? ...fail. Thanks for the tip. I'll do it the next time something only happens to a character. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Is it just me, or are there a lot of us in Heroica: the Next Generation, with weapons that deal the enamored effect. Has that become really popular all of a sudden or has it always been that way? Quote
Khorne Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Why else do you think I chose Eric for the quest? :P For his gorgeous eyes and my sublime roleplaying, obviously, duuh . So Periwinkle was a part of the Sisters all along when you thought up this Quest or did you just happen to put her in, because Eric is part of the Party? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I think Periwinkle is an awesome addition to the quest I love references and NPCs from old quests. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) Welcome to Heroica, Rethinal! Edited March 29, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote
Sandy Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 Welcome to the game, Rconn0! Always great to have more clerics to the mix! I took the liberty of resizing your avatar for you: You should be aware that in the context of this game, the proper racial term for Rethinal is "were-eagle", although there's nothing wrong if he wishes to call himself eagleman instead. Asphalt Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 i am not sure where to ask this, so please feel free to move it or let me know where i should have done it. Is there anyone who would be willing to mke me a small build of the god Wartan, standing in the middle of a crossroads? Perhaps in a slightly mountainous terrain? Quote
Kintobor Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Alright, I've got an issue, and it's solution is unfortunately not more cow bell. I've been trying to make a Minstrel figure for when Karie gets access to the class, but I've hit a brick wall. Sort of literally. I can't find any good pieces, and the ones I'm using I've already used for other NPCs. So if anyone's got an idea for Minstrel Karie that's not her in the Harley Quinn outfit, I'd appreciate seeing it. Quote

Cutcobra Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 She should definitely wear this hair/hat combo: That hat's green would also work well with this Joker torso: ...Aside from the fact that Karie's face is Harley Quinn. Quote
Kintobor Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I do own the Joker torso... and the Red Herrington head and hat. I'll try some of these out when I get a moment. Thanks for the ideas, keep them coming! Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Karie snags the dwarf by the collar, trying to get him to stay. "Excuse him, Calamity, he can be... um, rude. If you don't mind, I'm going to take him off to discipline, I want you to stay here and mingle with everyone else, kay?" Karie budges out of her seat and drags the dwarf off to the downstairs of the hall, passing a beehived woman and one of the veterans talking to a winged woman. Karie gave little mind to it and dragged the dwarf into a broom closet where she snuck in too. It was cramped and dark, with the only light coming through a few slits in the door. Karie let go of the dwarf and rubbed her head, looking worried. "What the hell do we do? A demon worshipper? Here?" She asked the dwarf in a hushed, yet still loud tone. I want to go on a Karie+Throlar+Lind+Calamity quest... Quote
JimBee Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Guts IS a little less crankier than he used to be. BTW - 1 more quest & PC #2! Still 2 more successful quests for the Veteran Class. I was just thinking about this, and I'm a little confused. You need 15 quests as a player or 5 as a QM to get a second character, right? Hoke will have 12 after 129. And I think the access to Veteran classes is granted after 10 successful quests, right? Quote

JimBee Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I don't remember Sandy anything about officially changing it, and the rules page hasn't been updated. Otherwise I could've started a second character a long time ago (which is why I'm asking). Quote

Just for the general record, I've changed the opinions I previously held* - I think it's a good idea and it should be put into practice. *Apologies if that sounded self-important. I just remember that I was one of the dissenting voices towards the idea, and I wanted to say that I'd changed my position. Edited March 30, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote

Is there anyone who would be willing to mke me a small build of the god Wartan, standing in the middle of a crossroads? Perhaps in a slightly mountainous terrain? I'll see what I can whip up . I drew the deity with Gimli's helmet, but I don't actually have one myself . I'll use one of those Fantasy Era Dwarf helmets instead. Wasn't it half-ruled that Quest Hostings could be added to your questing count? That has been discussed, but I don't believe there was a ruling on it . For a second character you need 15 Quests in total, including Fields of Glory-trips, OR have hosted 5 Quests. Veteran classes require 10 Quests excluding FoG-trips. That's how I think the rules are. Quote
Palathadric Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I'm pretty sure the Veteran classes require 10 quests to be completed successfully. I know that we were discussing it for a while in regards to the second character and the Veteran class, but I'm pretty sure it stuck with the Veteran classes. I can't actually find anywhere it says so though. Quote

Otherwise I could've started a second character a long time ago (which is why I'm asking). For the purposes of getting a second character, I propose that hosting a quest is equal to participating in 3 successful quests, since it's already 15 participated/5 hosted. Also, I forget, but how to the trips to the Fields count? I think we had this discussion before... What do others think? Would this be fair? So, I guess we never got an official ruling... Quote
Khorne Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) As requested, Asphalt, Wartan on a crossroads. I made two versions: One with a golden horned helmet, for that royal deity touch : And one with a regular Dwarf helmet: I also added in his "fiery" (aka blind) eyes and mysterious fog . It was discussed earlier, but I withheld from ruling it like that since at the time we had plenty of characters just loitering around in the Hall with no quests to sign into. I am willing to change it so that one hosting equals three participations for the quest total, but I need to see more quest pitches popping into my PM box if there's suddenly going to be a flood of second characters arriving to the Hall. Can anyone promise me that? Quote
