Asphalt Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I would love to host, and I have several ideas half written up, but I don't know how I would get to the building part of the quest. I don't want to let people down with the visuals. As requested, Asphalt, Wartan on a crossroads. I made two versions: One with a golden horned helmet, for that royal deity touch : And one with a regular Dwarf helmet: I also added in his "fiery" (aka blind) eyes and mysterious fog . Where is that jaw dropping emoticon when I need one. Thanks a million. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) It's the Tridentia quests. Enamored weapons is the "themed reward" from them as far as I can tell. But only one person got an enamored effect item those quests as far as I can remember. Edited March 30, 2015 by Asphalt Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) It was discussed earlier, but I withheld from ruling it like that since at the time we had plenty of characters just loitering around in the Hall with no quests to sign into. I am willing to change it so that one hosting equals three participations for the quest total, but I need to see more quest pitches popping into my PM box if there's suddenly going to be a flood of second characters arriving to the Hall. Can anyone promise me that? I have several roughly-shaped out ideas for future quests, and all I have left to do for my next quest is write the battles and make the sets.I would love to host, and I have several ideas half written up, but I don't know how I would get to the building part of the quest. CMP Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 But only one person got an enamored effect item those quests as far as I can remember. Yeah, Miderun bought the Seductive Perfume off of Namyrra back at the Hall. Quote
Duvors Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Here is my own take on the norse king of the gods; Just in case you're wondering the bats are held on by friction alone, it's incredibly delicate. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Seriously need the jaw drop emoticon. You two have been fantastic. Quote

Wow! Great version, too . I like the combos even better than mine. I do very much like my "hand forward in eerie fashion"-pose, which I miss here . I'll Photoshop it too tommorow, because it's just too great a picture to pass up on. There's even the obligatory skull, which I forgot to include . Nice work. EDIT: I don't want to be greedy, it's just that I'd really rather not have to rely on my fellow players letting me borrow their weapons/armor in future quests. Just my 2 cents, but I think your need for borrowed weapons stems from your "racing" from level 1 to 15 with the Medal of Glory. Most players do that gradually and take time to buy upgrade, tune and refine their weapons and armor. Their equipment "levels" with them, so to speak. I know I spent a TON of money on Godricsleif, upgrading it WP and buying and inserting gems. I don't think I've ever even had to borrow stuff, because I have a solid core of equipment that goes way back. It's definitely your right to claim your part of the loot, I'm not arguing there. Honestly, it's good of you to be willing to discuss this with the rest of your party instead of just saying "this is all mine. Don't like it? Tough luck". It's just that the "I always have to rely on other player's stuff" is kind of a silly argument to me. It's mainly your "fault" that you don't have any "decent" stuff at this time. I think. Like I said, just my 2 cents. I could be way off, but I believe your lack of proper equipment stems from that: going through the first levels waaaay too fast without having earned enough money to keep your gear as good as your character. Waterbrick Down Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I think there's a general sense of disillusion with PC's concerning how much equipment they should have because they're comparing themselves to higher level heroes. Granted some QM's are more generous than others and thus some PC's are a little better equipped than others, but if you look at some of the first sets of players at around Lv 15, (Quests 30-40) most of us had one or two weapons and generally one or two artifact (and not necessarily good ones) that's it. You have the right reason, but a lot of the lack also stems from the fact that I went on two Fields quests after my first one, which are not exactly known for dropping loot. I'm not saying that that's not my fault - it is - I'm just trying to figure out how to catch up as quickly(and fairly) as possible. Also, I didn't understand the weapon system as well as I do now, and I thought that a player based around throwing weapons would work better than it did. Quote

It's definitely viable, if you're willing to invest in it--but again, you shot up through the levels without really taking any time to invest in your gear, so of course they'd end up not working as well. They're also, admittedly, less useful in an environment like the Fields, which is more about endurance than anything else. Quote
Cryos Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Didn't get a chance to come out the wood work yesterday and come into General Discussion, but my time has been freed up lately this month and i've had a chance to rejoin the game, and catch up reading some of the running quests. (Currently #131, good stuff there guys.) Didn't want to overtake the thread but this is me saying long time no see, hehe. Quote
K-Nut Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Nice to see you back. Just wanted a fresh start with a new character? Quote
Cryos Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Great to see familiar faces also, and yeah! When Baradock left Heroica I had about 2 character ideas milling around in my mind, I gave the other one the axe (for lack of originality, ) and created Muradin and his stats page/picture replacing Baradock's but never got the time to make a Hall post. The other day I heard a song in my playlist I haven't listened to since I played before and it brought me back to check on the game, messed up and actually created the introduction, haha. Definitely good to be back though. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Remind me again Khorne, what are you using for photo-editing? Quote

Cutcobra Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 I am so sorry for the delay,#128 questers. I'm on a trip to Israel and the hotel promised me there would be wifi but appaerntley it doesn't "work all the time". I'll try to update as much as I an. Quote
Khorne Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Remind me again Khorne, what are you using for photo-editing? Good ol' Photoshop . Thanks, that's really nice of you. I simply added your photo into the same background I used. I liked the mountains and the fog I added, so I thought "Why the heck not?". Ta-da Pick you poison, Asphalt . Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 So, if Baba is a Mindflayer then according to Decamon a Genie could easily overpower her, right? By the way, I love stuff like "Dreamweavers" and "Puppeteers" and other types of magic users. Wizards and magic are my favorite things in fantasy fiction. Sandy Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 So, if Baba is a Mindflayer then according to Decamon a Genie could easily overpower her, right? Don't read too much into the cards. I had trouble coming up with 100 different monsters, so they are only in a very rough order (mostly having small and common enemies in the small numbers and large and rare in the big ones). Quote

Asphalt Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 So wish Vindsval and Calamity would have had some overlap in the hall. Not sure exactly what would have happened but it would have been dramatic. Quote
