Dannylonglegs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) I looked way too hard for that hidden message. I need to go to bed. I regret nothing... Innocent animals are Sylph's favorite kind of animals! Even weird rag-clad mysterious antiheroes love animals! ~Insectoid Aristocrat! Edited May 9, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) When are you hosting again, DLL? I need myself some newty things. Oof. I'd need to have every single picture made beforehand before I host again. The last one took an immense toll on my sanity.... It helps that I didn't own a camera at the time too, and the school I attended stopped lending them out. It was a nightmare. I really should have just placed it on hold a month before it was canceled. I'm sure we'll see newtomancy again, though... one day. One sweet slimy day... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 9, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Ahh so you are the origin of the Newtomancy. Yes. Yes I am. *feels proud and ashamed all at once* Ah. It's good to be back. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Asphalt Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I was wondering who thought the Newt based magical items. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) Out of perverse curiousity... has the scroll been used since I've been gone? It was originally a Monty Python joke... and it devolved from there. XD ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 9, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Asphalt Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I figured that was the case. I havent seen it used since I have been here. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) I figured that was the case. I havent seen it used since I have been here. I don't think I've seen it used either! We have to work on Kinto to use that in the next quest he takes Karie on! (It has no real utility in the Fields of Glory) hopefully not a quest Sylph's in. That would be terribly embarassing. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 9, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Sandy Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 I fear that the party splitting up in Quest#130 and moving at different paces will soon cause a time paradox... Quote

I didn't ask everyone to go around pursuing their own stuff! We'll try and keep together, if not for your sake then for the battles' balance Edited May 9, 2015 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Zepher Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I kind of like the idea that the heroes would all explore a city differently. Seeing what they prioritize really adds to their character, really fun way to keep us on task AND give us an ability to explore what our characters hold in importance. I also really like the idea of them all getting lost constantly and then accidentally running back into each other. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Actually, I used it in 93, with rather hilarious results. Oh my gods. You turned death into a Newt. well done! I had no idea that scroll would have any tactical application! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Flipz Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Looking back, I should've used it on the Regret. Now I feel like I've wasted an opportunity for mischief. Regret was immune to Minimized. Incidentally, though, that's the reason I hung onto the Hurricane for so long--I wanted to make sure that if I had to fight some boss that was taking themself too seriously, I could forcibly tone things down with incessant puns, and it would be doing so for a specific mechanical benefit. Karie did use it on Arthur in the Arena, though (although it was almost immediately removed because Arthur's build was broken as all hell for the Arena ). Question, though--does that mean that Arthur could use said scroll, since he was once transformed into a newt by it? Actually, speaking of DLL drops, why don't we see more Bolts items like Nessa had? Those were great, really added some spice to ranged combat. Quote

Hehe, I'm not surprised. Endgame's bosses are immune to pretty much everything. He always makes sure not to let his players win a boss fight easily... I still have to read up on the Regret's big finale. I hear there were temporal shenanigans. It's just as well that Sylph wasn't present for it. I don't know if he would have killed the Regret another time. Karie did use it on Arthur in the Arena, though (although it was almost immediately removed because Arthur's build was broken as all hell for the Arena ). Question, though--does that mean that Arthur could use said scroll, since he was once transformed into a newt by it? Oh, I think I was there for that. Yes. As creator of the item, i can assure you that is the case. Only those who have endured true newtity can cast the spell. Actually, speaking of DLL drops, why don't we see more Bolts items like Nessa had? Those were great, really added some spice to ranged combat. Aw! Thanks! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Endgame Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Happy Mother's Day! I celebrated it yestarday due to some scheduling snafus, thus why you guys aren't currently punching wild animals. Expect to get to wild animal punchery today. Also, for the last time, The regret is deader than dead. If someone wants to make a quest with more temporal shenanigans, go ahead, but I'm done with that character. (For the record, the end of 99 and 105 was to establish that The Regret's meldromatic air was a facade... ) Quote
CMP Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 QM Note: You can't, unfortunately. Heckz's battle took place hours ago, in the evening. Sarge only saw the signs of a struggle in the sand, hours later. What if Heckz decides to camp out after this battle? This quest is going to make the fabric of time weep. Quote
