Pyrovisionary Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Funnily enough it's the only supplement I don't have Quote
Asphalt Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I have several different ones. Going back to the '79 edition. that's one of my favorites. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I have the Monster Manual in three editions. but they're all online anyways, so I could have just spent that money on Lego... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Asphalt Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 PAH, if you didn't have them before the internet it doesn't count. Quote
Endgame Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 See, you didn't get horrifically mauled by a dragon... Yet. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Damn. He has a super secret ultra mega special, doesn't he? Quote
Kintobor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Damn. He has a super secret ultra mega special, doesn't he? It's called "Endgame Syndrome". I've been tempted to use "Kintobor Syndrome" a few times, but I don't know if I have. Quote
Kintobor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 OK, thanks for the info. By the way is that a hint their. We've gone from rules to gameplay, so I'm moving the conversation here. It might be. You could sell that scroll for about 100-150 gold. I don't know what class you want to get into, but with any sort of ether class it's nice to have a few scrolls, and Blindness and Sealed are in general really helpful (Blindnesss: Can't attack physically, nor deal damage or Free Hits, Sealed: Can't use magic, can't use Special Damage). The others are really good too, but Blindness is a nice one to have. My advice is to either use it yourself as a scroll, or sell it to someone who'll use it. The immunity's nice, but for 40 gold you can buy the Googles, which provide immunity to blindness. Quote
Sandy Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 There's now two new quests up for sign-ups at the Hall: one by me and one by a first-time host Purpearljellyblob (yay!). Even though they look totally different, they are actually related: we will see two sides of the Spesialia-Fenario conflict in those quests, since they both take place there. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Starting tomorrow I will be away from internet for a few days. Mencot and JimB can take over my characters' actions while I'm gone. Quote

Endgame Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Kill Baba Well, that's more than a little straightforward. Quote
Kintobor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I'll also note that I've sent the Fellcrest quest pitch to Sandy, so with any luck they'll be three quests on the quest board. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Well, that's more than a little straightforward. reading the description of that Quest reminded me of one of my favorite possessions from ancient antiquity... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Kintobor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Yeah, generally speaking, if Baba is indeed a Mind Flayer/Illithid, you don't want to mess with her. She'll charm/hex you, then use her beak to bite into your skull and suck your brain out. I am dead serious. Quote
K-Nut Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Arthur gave me that tin helmet for a reason. Now I don't even get to use it. Just kidding. I'm interested to see what happens on the quest. Quote

I especially love how the Lords of Madness expansion book delineated their history.... Basically they're from the end times, but developed time transport by mass sacrificing of their psionic community leaders/dead ancestors, jaunted all the way back to prehistory, and then conquered it.... I'm a sucker for Sci-fi in my fantasy tbh. I could talk about mind flayers for days... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 2, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote

I'm probaly a bit biased here but, it's great to see lore being built pu for Fenario and Spelisea. Sadly, Na'im is probalt too low a level to experience a Sandy quest but maybe Purplejellyblob will be willing to take on a certain Fenarian? Edited June 2, 2015 by Enceladus Quote

Kintobor Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Guts could probably still kill her in one blow though. Not if you removed either his Mythrill Dagger or his Dancing Shoes. I seriously can't believe how ridiculously buffed that item is. My goodness. Quote
