Lind Whisperer Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) Nope, just been biding my time for this particular quest ever since Sandy teased it earlier this year. And yeah, that would have made for a much more fluid transition/lead in to your costume than simply... having it happen, heh. See quest asking for elves, try to get mask, get told no, try the next best thing. True, but that just wouldn't have that Munchkin touch to it. Edited June 16, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote
JimBee Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 And the Hall is alive once again. I must say that Vind's dialog is impressive. Also... this is still Arthur's last visit? Quote
K-Nut Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Agreed. I love how natural Vindsval's interactions are, even with complex references to his obscure faith. Quote
Asphalt Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) I appreciate the compliments guys. I do my best. Edited June 17, 2015 by Asphalt Quote
Flipz Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 And the Hall is alive once again. I must say that Vind's dialog is impressive. Also... this is still Arthur's last visit? If Arthur goes on Zepher's next Quest, it won't be as an official Heroican (meaning permadeath is on). I'm *just guessing* that something will happen there that will lead to him going on Zepher's finale, but I'm still planning on retiring him permanently after that. I actually meant to do this before my hiatus, but a.) the right people weren't in the Hall at the right time, and b.) I really couldn't have handled it--I needed the time away from the game to recuperate. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Ok guys. Announcement time. I'm currently in Vietnam on holiday, and so yeah. But the thing is, a few places will not have WiFi, so there may be unexplained times of no posting from me. Also, I'm going to be posting at really odd times. So there's that. And basically just please puut up with me beimg less active. Prety please? -TCM. P.S. Just got here from the 20-ish hour plane journey, been awake for way longer then usual. Please forgive typos. The Chosen Minifigure Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 The humidity levels are so high it's actually affecting the Internet speed. Lucky I brought D&D. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 The humidity levels are so high it's actually affecting the Internet speed. Lucky I brought D&D. I wonder if that is better than, about 2 weeks of nonstop rain and flooding. Not that I should start building an ark. You just need to be careful driving around and it looks like another week of rain. Oh fun! Quote
K-Nut Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 "I thought that was a kind gesture of you, Jon", Eric smirked and tossed the old man 24 gold pieces. Is this the first time Sarge has been referred to by his first name? It's nice to see that kind of a relationship brewing between Eric and Sarge. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Is this the first time Sarge has been referred to by his first name? It's nice to see that kind of a relationship brewing between Eric and Sarge. Sarge has finally found someone who shares his morally dubious principles. I think Eric mentioned him by his forename earlier in #130. Edited June 17, 2015 by Pyrovisionary Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) It's sad to see Flipz dismantle Arthur's build. However, I do see a few things Hoke could put to good use. Edited June 18, 2015 by UsernameMDM Quote
Zepher Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Unexpectedly without proper wifi at the moment. Should be fixed within the next 24 hours! Thanks for your patience - Khrone and CMP can make calls for me in need be! EDIT: Or less than 24 hours. Quote
Mencot Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 For the next four weeks, I will also be without proper Internet connection from time to time. On vacation and we are not going to be home much. But I will do my best to be online. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) 4X Obsidian Shard: may be affixed to a blunt weapon to give the Bleeding 2 effect for one battle. Which weapons are to be considered as having the quality of "bluntness"? Edited June 19, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Which weapons are to be considered as having the quality of "bluntness"? Clubs, Hammers, Maces, Staves, possibly brooms. Quote
Sandy Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Which weapons are to be considered as having the quality of "bluntness"? Blunt weapons are all weapons that do not have a blade in them (sharp weapons) or that do not shoot anything (ranged/projectile weapons). Broomsticks and instruments are technically blunt, but they actually fall into the ranged category. Quote
StickFig Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) I'm way behind... I kind of want to see "Throlar Wineghilm" & "Matthais" go on a quest together. :shudder: Jimmy Christmas, I take one afternoon off and this is what happens. No more days off, Asphalt! You're the only one keeping things together around here! Edited June 19, 2015 by StickFig Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Really going all out with those sets, WBD. Yeah, this workshop looks incredible. Glad they're being enjoyed, this quest has been one of my favorite to build sets for. I really wanted to give the under-mountain a feeling of establishment, like these cities have been here for awhile. There's a lot of details put into the scenes for the Party to interact with if they choose. Quote
Sandy Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Shrouded in black robes the alchemist turns and the Mind-flayer's voice echos in Atramor's head once again. So much for Mindflayers being a rare, near extinct race. Oh well, in an enormous game like this, there's bound to be controversial information every now and then... Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 So much for Mindflayers being a rare, near extinct race. Oh well, in an enormous game like this, there's bound to be controversial information every now and then... The most evil race in fantasy pop-culture history is near extinct? Sorry, I had Hava already set before 125's big reveal. From a retcon strategy, I'm thinking there can just be two subraces, the more powerful, rare, and long-lived Greater Mind-flayers (like Baba) and the more populous but less dangerous Lesser Mind-flayers. That would at least explain their difference in powers and appearances. Quote
Duvors Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Why not have Mind-flayers and Ilithids be separate races? Quote
