Zepher Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I think that was the joke with the item naming. Quote
Flipz Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 (edited) So I was aiming for the Training Room to look something up, misclicked, and stumbled across this little gem in the Theatre topic... Good job. Next you'll be working on a Heroica RPG wiki. Edited June 30, 2015 by Flipz Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 (edited) Best 3 gem combination for a single weapon & why? Currently leaning towards Amethyst, Opal & Topaz (Darkness, Ice & Lightning). Would that combo still damage Dark/Demon/Undead (Quick review of FAQS says normal damage to Undead, no damage to Dark/Demon.) Edited June 30, 2015 by UsernameMDM Quote
Asphalt Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I believe it would give normal damage to both dark and light since the bonuses and no damages for each cancel out. Quote

With a Diamond maybe, but not as is. Was trying to think up something for a Light based weapon. Maybe Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I think diamond and amethyst together is really strong. It gives you double damage against humanoid and undead if I remember this right, with normal damage to everything else. Pair that combo with fire, ice, lightning or a combination of those three and you've got a versatile strong weapon. Quote

Was wanting a Dark based weapon and a Light based weapon (eventually), but it may just be better to have 1 really excellent weapon instead of two good ones. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 ^Behold, the next Zoot's Orb - some sort of consumable that allows you to embed several* conflicting elemental gems into one weapon while keeping full 2x elemental damage on all of them. *Note, several, not "all". All would be OP'd. 2 or 3? Still OP'd. But almost nearly acceptable. Almost. Quote

K-Nut Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Not quite following you here. You can put any number of gems in any weapon/shield/artefact. True, but some weapons (such as Zelphie's staff) cannot be imbued with gems. Quote
Kintobor Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 (edited) I just realized I'm going to be rolling for our first Master Class. Edited June 30, 2015 by Kintobor Quote

Kintobor Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I'll manage... somehow. *buffing everything intensifies* Quote

K-Nut Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 We already have two other Master Classes. I think Kinto meant first one to roll for Master Class, but you are correct. Benji and Docken beat me to the punch. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Not quite following you here. You can put any number of gems in any weapon/shield/artefact. Contradictory elements cancel each other out. A Diamond+Amethyst set up will give you X2 against Undead and Humanoids. With this sort of consumable, you wouldn't have the cancellation. You'd have X2 against Undead, Demons/Dark, Holy/Luminous, and Humanoids, just from those two gems. It'd never get ok'd, but it'd be an incredible drop... Also, nice character design, K-Nut! Glad Althior is going to let the dead rest in peace. Quote

Zepher Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I hope everyone liked their first look at etheria as well! Thanks for letting me join in the fun, K-Nut! Quote
Flipz Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Asphalt, I personally would change that Scarab Shield to "bearer takes half damage from Vermin"; it's a great item either way, but giving it a flat effect instead of a die roll makes it MUCH easier for other QMs to handle it. Quote
