samurai-turtle Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I almost forgot, happy Fourth of July everyone! It is over now. I got a "real world" question with weapons what is the difference between a "Long Sword" and a "Great Sword"? And do not tell me weapon class because that is not what I am asking. If I am holding them in my hands how would I tell a "Great" one from a "Long" one. Quote

Greatswords take two hands and longswords can be held with one Quote
samurai-turtle Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 OK, thanks for the quick answer. If any one else wants to chime in feel free to do so. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I assure you 137, this guy is not waiting for you in the woods. I promise! Quote
Palathadric Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) Starting tomorrow Ill be in the Czech republic for a week with limited internet, JimB can decide Guts' actions with full control over his inventory. Suddenly I've got lots of deals to work with JimB. Edited July 5, 2015 by Palathadric Quote

I'm not sure if they have any real-world differences, since swords have always come in various shapes and sizes, but in my thinking longswords are leaner and lighter, while greatswords are broader and heavier - sometimes even ridiculously large, like this one from Quest#75: Quote
KotZ Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Found this. Hope it clears things up. http://www.thearma.org/SwordForms.html#.VZmGFEZB_Ms Quote

Endgame Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I'm getting the game tomorrow, and I swear if you spoil any of it for me, heads will roll By the way, my activity may be a bit sub-par until I finish the game. Bruce Wayne is Batman. Quote
Palathadric Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Bruce Wayne is Batman. No! Wow, the Crimson Crown are bold. Quote
CMP Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Enjoying the new Batman game, CMP, jduging by 140? Enjoyed it, started new game plus, beating my head against a wall over the remaining Riddler trophies. Quest 129 update: We're waiting on my camera battery to recharge. I swear it always waits right until the final battle, I think this happened during Quest 69, too... Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 The PC port was terrible so I doubt I'll be enjoying Batman: AK anytime soon. Quote
K-Nut Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) The PC port was terrible so I doubt I'll be enjoying Batman: AK anytime soon. See, I was going to get it for PC, but now I have to suck it up and blow my budget on a PS4. Apparently I need to play it before reading CMP's next quest. Edited July 5, 2015 by K-Nut Quote
CMP Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 See, I was going to get it for PC, but now I have to suck it up and blow my budget on a PS4. Apparently I need to play it before reading CMP's next quest. This quest was written some time ago, actually, over the course of I think a single day. I shelved it and focused on hosting/playing for a couple weeks, and pulled it up hours after actually beating Arkham Knight. And that's the point where I noticed a pile of similarities and changed the villain's name. Quote
Zepher Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Hey all, I'll be on vacation for the next week! Should absolutely have access to the internet, but might have a day or two where I'm living it up too much to get online. If that should happen, Khrone or CMP are in charge of my characters. Quote
Flipz Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I really want to see Karie as a maurader now, dual-wielding her two whips. Quote
CMP Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Think this might be Heroica's first genuine by-design unwinnable battle. Hope it goes well. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I consider it getting at least six hours of sleep IG. This is going to be important later, so take note. As they enter the swirling void, the party's senses are confronted by a foreign array of sights, sounds, and smells as they bound through a strange and at times euphoric experience, seemingly being thrown from one spot in space and time to another. Oooh - is #137 going to be a time travel adventure? Quote
