Kintobor Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Kinto, is Diane supposed to be Diana from 104? No. In hindsight, they look a little too similar (especially since I did most of the photos and character designs for new NPCs. ), but they are totally different characters. I doubt Flpiz would let me do this without his permission or his knowledge for that matter. Quote

Zepher and I are using it to figure out the most theatrical way of killing off every character in the heroicaverse, for example, being the big mean QMs we are. Quote

StickFig Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 We could always use more clerics. I totally forgot I was eligible for that. Maybe I should get on that. Meh, clerics are few and far between, possibly because potions have pretty much replaced them as far as I can tell. Quote
Flipz Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Meh, clerics are few and far between, possibly because potions have pretty much replaced them as far as I can tell. Yeah...not sure what we could do to fix the problem. We could hike potion prices, but that doesn't really help late-game. Ultimately, for Clerics to become popular, they need to be able to do something that a Mage with potions can't--particularly since they got hit pretty hard in the Ether nerf. Quote

I had an idea, but it may be a bit too extreme. Potions - Restores 1/6 of lost health Grand Potion - Restores 1/4 of lost health And so on. Potions wouldn't become obsolete as magnitudes of health increase, but they'll never be as good as a Cleric who can successfully heal unless that Cleric is spectacularly underleveled compared to the person they're healing. Scubacarrot Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 The problem is that at the lower levels they would be super useless. 1/6 of 10 health.. yeah.. Quote
Endgame Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Perhaps let them heal and attack on the same turn? It's pretty radical, but it gives them some of their value back. Quote
CMP Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 The problem is that at the lower levels they would be super useless. 1/6 of 10 health.. yeah.. Rights, but heroes advance most quickly at lower levels, so their health gets bumped up very quickly. At level 10 heroes have 14-20 health. It would make players more reliant on Clerics. But perhaps starting at 1/6 is a bit much. Maybe 1/5 or 1/4? Quote

I really like this idea actually. It gives a significant boost to the value of clerics without getting rid of the usefulness of something else. Quote

I was thinking have the heal and the attack operate on the same roll, to make them doubly screwed if they get a bad roll to balance it. We'd need to come up with an offensive shield roll for clerics, though... Quote

A cleric can heal a party member equal to their level+ their WP for 1 ether instead of attacking on their turn, or heal them outside of combat for the same amount. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I think Kintobor means that it's a sure thing, no rolling involved. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I think Kintobor means that it's a sure thing, no rolling involved. That's what I meant. Sorry if I was unclear. It's a sure fire thing, and it's always WP+Level. Just my opinion on it all. Quote

Endgame Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 I'm still not sure how he deduced that Faust was in Heroica. Lind only mentioned that he was a representative of Heroica - there was nothing about Faust... Educated guess more than anything. If Faust hired heroes from Heroica, chances are likely he fled to Eubric - not to mention that Uland is the nearest large island, so it'd make sense the king would go there. Quote
