Endgame Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) SP: 18 and immune to all elements is good enough for ~1350 gold. Edited July 27, 2015 by Endgame Quote
K-Nut Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 SP: 18 and immune to all elements is good enough for ~1350 gold. True. I just know there are some shield that can get to about 20 SP and can still gain all these immunities. It's costs a substantial amount of gold more, but still Quote
Endgame Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I fear the day when QMs are going to have to pump out level 100+ enemies to be the lowest of the low. Oh, that random Wolfgang goon? Yeah, stronger then Steerpike, Violetta, and Donny combined. Quote
Zepher Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I think mobs will be a good answer to that. I haven't used them myself yet, but be warned, 139, they're certainly on my mind. Quote
Flipz Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 For the sake of a neutral analysis: Upgrading a SP:2 shield to SP:18 would normally cost 1680 gold, and then it would cost another 450 gold (plus the cost of gems, so in Thormanil's case 900 total to dis-imbue from shoes and into shield) to put all the elements in, for a grand total of 2580 gold to make an equivalent shield manually, whereas it only costs 900 to upgrade the crystal shield to that point. I think mobs will be a good answer to that. I haven't used them myself yet, but be warned, 139, they're certainly on my mind. Yes, mobs are definitely going to make a liberal appearance in the Fields from now on as well. Quote

What if I just want three dudes shooting the shit in a back alley, though? But yes, I can see that being the point. I just fear Wolfgang moshpits. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Aw cmon, let us (me) use polishes on it. I need a good shield, and wouldn't mind feeling obscenely powerful for once, haha We really could use more Polishes as drops...What's the exact Anniversary of Heroica*? *E.g., what day is it on which Anniversary Medals flip over to 4s... They're intentionally rare because they entirely undermine the only things that makes Knight classes special. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 *E.g., what day is it on which Anniversary Medals flip over to 4s... It looks like the 13th. That is the earliest post that I seen. Quote

Palathadric Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Or instead of making the SP multiplied by the number of gems, just put that each gem imbued adds 1 SP. Quote

StickFig Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 What if I just want three dudes shooting the shit in a back alley, though? But yes, I can see that being the point. I just fear Wolfgang moshpits. Shouldn't 3 dudes chillin' in a back alley eventually be a really easy encounter for a party of experienced heroes? I mean, yeah, it won't be a challenge for the players, but that's what it would really be like. Eventually stormtroopers just aren't challenging any more. Quote
Khorne Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 No, no "Boy Wonder" is the player. "Lycan" is the character. I'm sorry, my mistake! I should've called him the Boy Mage instead. Quote
Sandy Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 They're intentionally rare because they entirely undermine the only things that makes Knight classes special. Except Sentinel and attack deflection. Knights aren't all about SP anymore... Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 A while ago we discussed which song best described our Characters. With all the new characters, what does everyone think? Quote
Flipz Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Woooow, Warlen, how much Ether did that sick Burn cost you? Seriously, though, it's been a while since we've had a joke - based character who's both consistently funny AND still feels like they fit in with and respect the game world. Well done. In other news, I'm going to be gone most of today. I'll try to get a post in tonight, once the Flex Alert is over. Quote

While I personally wouldn't say I'm consistently funny, I guess that's not the kind of thing that you can judge yourself. Unless you're Lind. Edited July 30, 2015 by The Chosen Minifigure Quote
K-Nut Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I guess that's not the kind of thing that you can judge yourself. Unless you're Lind. Anyways, I used to have a joke based character like you until I took an arrow to the knee, but I thought there were points where he was either to gimmicky or too bipolar. Althior and Finnegan were always cracking jokes off of one another, but that personality didn't seem to fit once they got to some heavy hitting plots. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 ....Are we reading two alternate universe versions of the same quest? Because "Let the adults talk now," is maybe 200 on the Scoville scale. Maybe. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 "Read what I-Er, listen to what I said." Is it just me that thinks that this is a step too far? Quote
