Nope, that made me uncomfortable too. :sceptic:

I am indeed going through difficulties with my RP at the moment. I am trying, unsuccessfully, I admit, to rectify that.

That being said, unless you are intentionally playing poor hearing as a character trait, or they've written half a page of monologue, read what other people type. :hmpf_bad: That was not the first time this has come up...

You say that like people are supposed to take Lind seriously.

Lind monologues a lot. I tend to skim at best.

Also, "But I always do it" is not an excuse for, well anything really.

Well put. I think it's a fair criticism to say that you don't have to reply to everything with OOC references and jokes, Lind. Or bold every other sentence. Just a tip if you want people to read your posts closely - everything in moderation. :classic:

It would also probably help if everything Lind says wasn't in neon blue and in a random font choice. Toning it down a bit there would probably make it more readable.

To be honest, I can't blame Karie OR Kinto for ignoring what Lind says...it's not fun playing with someone who tries to make the whole Quest be about them, particularly when they keep nitpicking undercutting everything you say or do point-by-point. :sceptic:

How's Miirym in that regard? I wanted her text color to match her scale color, but I do worry it may be a bit hard to read.

It is sort of hard to read, but I mean that in literally the font color is a bit too light, not in that it's annoying. But that's the closest to a gold color there is in the font, so it's probably fine.

Personally, I'd go with a more gold-ish brown, but that's just me. :shrug_oh_well:

I don't know if you've posted this in the theatre topic, but you really should. I know you and I have both done this a little bit, and it does make quests really hard to read. I've basically given up on trying to read #138 because every other post is Lind trying to correct someone else. :sadnew: You can definitely use a quest to further your character quite a bit, but at the same time still have it not be all about them. I think that's why I enjoyed Quest #79 so much; Kinto and I both definitely had our moments, bu neither of us attempted to one-up the other. Each person should be able to come into the spotlight in their own way, and when you have one person who's hogging said spotlight, the quest is no fun for anyone else.

In think Miirym's fine as is. The text color suits her, and it's not totally over the top. I know I've changed up Finnegan's a few times throughout the years to try and dumb it down, so to speak.

I wouldn't however, seeing as when I read this I couldn't tell it was a different font color.

For context, Lind, you have as many posts in 138 as I do.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this, but I've pretty much cycled having characters react/interact to characters in 138, with a character that is more or less ambivalent towards all of them. Essentially, I'm trying to shift the spotlight to each character, and then pulling ti back to put all of them in the limelight through every "phase" in 138. Is it working? :shrug_confused: I'm liking how it's going thus far (minus that puzzle).

I wouldn't say that's necessarily a bad thing in general. Kinto and I have around the same number of posts in #137 as of right now, and I don't feel as though it's an issue (though if it is, feel free to call me out on it ). Perhaps since #138 has all of the general QM posts (NPCs, battles), and Sandman replying, then Endgame should probably have more in general.

Well, then you have Charon, for as much as I like how he came out, would not shut the hell up.

You do have a habit of including some mouthy NPCS. Though #79 is still one of my favorite quests, those Oculoids never shut up

Even though posts aren't everything to a quest (quality over quantity), when Lind has a 100 posts more than a clearly active member of the party (in this case, Warlen), then I think there's a problem of show-stealing, so to speak.

Part of it is that the Summer is when I have a bunch of free time, so I can pretty much just tab over and write a reply whenever someone pops up - this was especially true for Charon's bit.

And yes, I do. Sandman, despite talking a fair bit, is fairly short spoken and very rarely initiates a conversation.

I'm going to have to snatch Prophet Althior for my next quest. In tone, I think its a good fit for him - just not as much as 137 is for him, anyway. Then again, I have a feeling everyone will be flocking to Zepher's next outing, so I'll probably not host my next one as rapid-fire as I did from 134-138.

I know what you mean. Whenever I have some free time, I basically stalk the forums until someone replies. It's not healthy, but I've got nothing better to do.

The thing is, I'd have loved to go on #138, #139, or #140, but #137 was, as you said, too good of a fit to pass up.

Althior's talk of hallucinating in death made me think of Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop (god I love that show). Even though their stories aren't quite the same, Spike also believes that he's actually dead and that he's only hallucinating everything that's happening to him. It's not completely similar, but it just made me think of that :classic: .

I actually stole the concept of spending centuries in death from Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've never seen any Cowboy Bebop.

Ah...That explains some things.

My apologies - my life's been fairly slow lately, so I've enjoyed responding to any activity on #138. Mentally, I was categorizing it as "Just being really active," rather than "too much focus on Lind".

I'm probably a lot more excited for 140 than I ought to be. Really looking forward to diving into the quest, CMP! Looks like we've got a cool party, too.

First CMP quest! So nervou-cited!

I find it weird interacting with PCs that Karie has, but Annienal hasn't. I think the same happened with a few others, but I can't remember who at the moment because it's been the Annie/Miderun/Warlen/Vindsval Power Hour for a while.

Don't forget Bobby. That's kind of why I was glad to get on 136 with some new characters. You guys are AWESOME to interact with but I feel like we've had this general party intact since our characters all started.

I have high hopes for this party too. And I like forcing Em into the leader role rather than letting him hover around as the mysterious sixth ranger. This should be interesting.

She felt a little saddened by the dilapidated book store, wondering what it was like when it was open.

I almost laughed at this remark, by the way.
