Yzalirk Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I will be aiming for some Letters of Recommendations (if they return), Grating Stones, Level-Up Mushrooms, any shards, and the medal. I'm surprised though that there isn't an item that can increase the stat(s) of armor. Quote

Yzalirk Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Bright Polish will up the SP by 1. I see it now. I'll try to get that as well. Quote
KotZ Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I still haven't used that poison I won from last year. I should get on that. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Hey, that's an item you can't just waste on any weapon. That being said, I almost waited 2 years to use my Grating Stone from 2012. Quote
KotZ Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 What did you end up using that Grating Stone on? Quote
K-Nut Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Just my current staff. I figure it's a weapon I can use for a long time and pack a punch with, so I invested with it. If I had the everlasting venom or a crimson venom, I'd wait to use it until I knew it was a sound investment. I wouldn't use it on just any weapon. If it were a weapon like the Qlin blade or Boomingham's sword, then I'd definitely use it. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I still haven't decided whether to use mine on the dual staff or not. Is it wrong that I'm waiting for a Broomstick version of Hybros' Banana? Quote
CMP Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Is it wrong that I'm waiting for a Broomstick version of Hybros' Banana? It's very wrong, in many different ways... Quote
UsernameMDM Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Would love to get a Crimson Haze for Hoke's weapon. Can't decide if I want to use the Mythril on it or wait till some Adamantium comes up. Quote
CMP Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 It seems extremely unlikely. The Bladerang's full AoE damage is only justified because it's a Throwing Weapon and has to be retrieved. Quote

Perhaps a Rubber Band would do the trick? Where's Foog when we need him? It's very wrong, in many different ways... Quote
Zepher Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Yeah, been trying to track down a crimson haze for years. I wanted it more badly than these scroll improvements, because I liked the idea of having a poison weapon (because Boomingham's past comes back to haunt him so he inflicts slow burn poison damage bada bing bada boom) but it wasn't in the cards. Palathadric Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 So, we've met Carlos, now where are his old men? Quote
Endgame Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Just going through it, 130 is one of those quests where I love each individual setpiece, but I have no clue what the main plot is anymore. Quote
Zepher Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Me neither. I'll talk about it when we're done. I'm loving the quest, but feel like maybe there's too much freedom. Its funny, because I think Sandy might be experiencing the same thing playing through 132 - another quest that I'm thoroughly enjoying, but am not totally sure what's going on anymore or where they should be. Not a slight to either quest or QM. They offer way more choice than I ever could (or even will). Just something we're still working to balance out, I feel like. Quote

And you guys haven't found her yet, and the other sisters seemingly don't care, despite the fact its been days and days of time in-game. Edited August 6, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Flipz Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 It's a common trope in real-world RPG campaigns, and I'd argue has more to do with a combination of overall player freedom with the overall Quest length. I call it "the Skyrim effect". Personally, I'm pretty set for Arthur stats-wise; the only things I'd really be looking for are Bright Polishes (for use on the cloak/armor), some way to Tin-ify the Unicorn Helmet (still one of my favorite Artifacts even though I barely wear it these days ), and maybe some kind of accessory that would let Miirym Fly like a Winged Warrior. Maybe a Letter of Recommendation so I can get 3x out of my cloak finally, but unless something really incredible drops on 138 I'm probably going to try to negotiate a Quest reward swap with Warlen to settle our deal. I mean, don't get me wrong; all of the Lottery stuff is great, but I'm finally at the point where I can focus Arthur's roleplaying over his stats, and it's a curiously comfortable place to be. I guess maybe Level-Up Mushrooms, since I'm not going to be MoG-ing anything up any time soon, but they're not really a priority either. Quote
Endgame Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 You're never obligated to min-max y'know. I did it for my character, like, once. As for amazing stuff from 138, let's say Lethauros and Vorpalis have very similar boss drops, conceptually. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 The missing sister was Zelda Ziegrfried gone walkabout. Quote

You could always work on a Second Character if you haven't created one already. Quote
Flipz Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 You could always work on a Second Character if you haven't created one already. It'll still be a long while before that opportunity comes to fruition--it'll probably be another year at least before I've finished both 139 and another Quest. (Alternatively, I could host three more Quests, and I do have two well in the works, but that still will take quite some time. ) Quote
