Pyrovisionary Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I'm installing it right now.... In other news, my character Avalanche has returned to Heroica after about a year of absence. Is it possible he could be un-archived? Ooh you missed a brilliant quest of #100. But you might've helped Throlar so.... I think he picked it up on #130. He did, it was a reward for a sub-quest. Palathadric Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Yeah, I'm waiting for a couple months until they've released all the most important patches they want to. Also, it's disturbingly hard to find legitimate software here, and also disturbingly hard to figure out whether one is running legitimate software or not. In other news, electricity is back to non-existent here, because our neighbour refused to pay his bill, so we're cut off. Anyway, if I disappear, know that I'm with you in my heart...or whatever. Lind Whisperer Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 About twenty thousand grains of 1950s-era Russian gunpowder gods I'm a nerd. How can the crate be magnetic enough to attract gunpower, yet it's only when it's opened that the lights start swinging around... I think he picked it up on #130. Yes, which was mildly frustrating, as I had the perfect place to drop it... Also: My child... Plot twist!!!! (Fifteen feet away): "That's a nice piece of loot, that's a nice piece of loot, that's a nice piece of loot, meh, don't need it, that's a nice piece of loot..." Quote
Endgame Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 If you're implying that Lethauros is Charon's son, you're wrong. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 If you're implying that Lethauros is Charon's son, you're wrong. No, that he was Vorpalis's son, when we thought they were brothers.And...suddenly I realize that the person/dragon who left the note, was probably not the person/dragon who built the grave. Quote
Endgame Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 It'd be a pretty bad plot twist if that was the case. Quote
Dragonfire Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I think he picked it up on #130. Guess that's him sorted then Ooh you missed a brilliant quest of #100. But you might've helped Throlar so.... Yeah, I just read #100 and I'm pretty mad I pulled out. But I really couldn't have kept up participation at that time. And yes, Avalanche never would have sided with the Wolfgang and let the quest fail Quote
Cutcobra Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Thanks Has Heckz gotten himself Fifty Shades of Bley yet or is he still wistfully searching for it? Like the others said, he did. And he's gonna have a lot of fun with it. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Yeah, I just read #100 and I'm pretty mad I pulled out. But I really couldn't have kept up participation at that time. And yes, Avalanche never would have sided with the Wolfgang and let the quest fail Neither would've Althior, but I wasn't going up against those other three. Quote
Asphalt Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Althior drops his head in his hands. Once again, the dwarf was making a scene in Babeleth. "Let's just hand the Powder off to Diane, before we get kicked out of the town..." Man Althior hates Throlar. Vindsval gets called out on his religious practices and The dwarf still gets blamed. K-Nut Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) Man Althior hates Throlar. Vindsval gets called out on his religious practices and The dwarf still gets blamed. Having him go off on his own on Quest #100 was both stressful to me and Althior. Edited August 11, 2015 by K-Nut Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Had three days of a music festival, my last day of summer employment, my father's birthday, a visit to my grandmother's and hosting some guests, but I'm back now, so expect updates over the next hour. Thank you for your patience. Quote
Asphalt Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Having him go off on his own on Quest #100 was both stressful to me and Althior. So why did you stick Vindsval with him this round. :) Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 He moves up to the sniper's body. You chose your own path. Perhaps in death you will find the acceptance you never gave in life. I offer this soul to you in Tribute Wanderer, may this offering feed you and extend your stride. Vindsval kneels beside the fallen body of the Sniper. He places a hand on the man's chest and begins his prayers to send the soul of this man to the Halls of the Wanderer. He finishes his prayers and raises blade above his head. He brings it down with a controlled slash on the neck of the Sniper, severing it cleanly from its shoulders. He sheathes the blade, grasps the head by the hair and raises it to the heavens. I deep growl rumbles in his chest as his eyes flash with victory. He stuffs the severed head deep into the mans hat and folds the bundle up tightly. That bundle he places in his traveling bag. That gory business finished Vindsval removes the jar, Muffler, and bow from the body and binds the corpse tightly in its own cloak. *huh* *huh*...Lind is never getting on Vindsval's bad side*. *A second time** **Of course, if he was on Vindsval's really bad side, there wouldn't be any possibility of a second time. CMP Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Question for Marauder (and maybe this is to Pie) how do we deal with elemental benefits from the weapons? Do they just apply to the whole attack? They must, right? I don't really understand the question. Regardless of if they choose one target or two targets, two individual strikes are always taking place. So if you were attacking a Vermin, and you got a Dual Hit, your fire-elemental sword's attack would do double damage, while your wood-elemental dagger would do nothing. Shoot, I thought I was posting in the rules discussion. Quote
Asphalt Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 The rites of the Wanderer MUST BE OBSERVED. He is a deity or many aspects. Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Hm, then I think I calculated Hybros' damage wrong that round - I'll leave it as is, but thank you for clarifying. I think it was the striking the one person thing that got me tripped up. EDIT: Oh, wait, no, I should redo it. I thought I was being kind, but really I should have used his level twice as well, right? I've probably been doing that wrong as well when he's been striking one target. I'll fix this round right now! Quote
Asphalt Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 There seems to be lots of troubles with dual strike weapons. Still trying to get mine completely figured out. Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Well duel-strike I've got down pat now... I think... after hosting Pretzel. These new classes always spin me for a loop especially the first time I host them. I like rolling for Dragons though, they're nice and simple! Quote
K-Nut Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 So why did you stick Vindsval with him this round. :) Because I don't want to make balancing battles a complete nightmare for Kinto. Quote
Flipz Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Flipz' Guide to Dual-Strike: Weapons: On Hit, Critical Hit, and non-AoE SHIELD and damage-dealing "4" rolls: Calculate like a normal roll of that type, then calculate an identical roll against the secondary target. On Damage and Special Damage: calculate Damage/Special Damage as normal, as if the weapon was not Dual-Strike On AoE SHIELD rolls and non-damage-dealing "4" rolls: calculate as normal, as if the weapon was not Dual-Strike Marauders: On Damage and Special Damage: calculate one Damage/Special Damage roll, then calculate an identical roll against the secondary target. On all other rolls: may the gods have mercy on your soul. Well duel-strike I've got down pat now... I think... after hosting Pretzel. These new classes always spin me for a loop especially the first time I host them. I like rolling for Dragons though, they're nice and simple! And yet you still forget to factor in Fragile to Miirym's damage. In all seriousness, I really appreciate the simplicity of the Dragon rolls as well, but I think there's some good room for Artifact - based customization as well. I've already mentioned that something adding the Fly rolls to the Dragon would be pretty neat, as would something that adds Burning to their attacks, or adds a Power bonus if they attack the same target as their Dragoon. Doesn't have to be much, just something simple that differentiates one Dragon from the next a little. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I'm waiting for the Spare Pocket: A handy little consumable that can be bonded into an accessory, allowing the wearer to wear an additional accessory.... Quote
K-Nut Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I'm waiting for the ... If anything like that were to arrive, I'm guessing it'd be like the Coat Hanger in that you'd have to sacrifice another artifact slot for it. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 If anything like that were to arrive, I'm guessing it'd be like the Coat Hanger in that you'd have to sacrifice another artifact slot for it. Probably, but the accessory slot is so useful compared to...pretty much every other slot, unless you have an exceptionally good set of gear, that it'd more than make up for it. Quote
