K-Nut Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I wouldn't say so. The medals are pretty good for an accessory, but otherwise, Bodywear seems to be a lot more useful in general. It usually grants high SP and either a permanent effect or a few immunities. Quote
JimBee Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I can think of a few accessory artifacts that'd be handy to wear at the same time. Why in the world did Lind not stay as a Black Knight? That Invader Armor is perfect for it. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 True, actually I'm surprise no one's tried the cleric healing, black knight whacking strategy. Quote
JimBee Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 True, actually I'm surprise no one's tried the cleric healing, black knight whacking strategy. You mean to say that a cleric would just heal the Black Knight when his health got too low? But wouldn't you just want the BK to stay at low health? Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 During the 127 side-quest Nerwen used Dirge of the Phoenix with a Black Knight for pretty awesome results. Quote
Dragonfire Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Like the others said, he did. And he's gonna have a lot of fun with it. Is he going to change job class immediately after you finish the quest, or can he bear waiting? Quote
Asphalt Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I certainly wouldn't mind Vindsval being able to wear a couple of his accessories at the same time. On a side note. Loved him being a witch last battle. Poisoned attack and scroll using saved his and grumpy dwarfs butts. But no shield roll. I have only had one since he started playing witch. And the only reflect roll I have had was ruled non-usable. But still, why are more people not playing this class? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I can think of a few accessory artifacts that'd be handy to wear at the same time. Why in the world did Lind not stay as a Black Knight? That Invader Armor is perfect for it. Three reasons - 1, I was supposed to be away, 2, Warlen was supposed to be Mystic Knighting my shield, 3, Lind had his drunken incident, and Warlen decided not to Mystic Knight it, but it was too late to change back since we were already on the quest. Zepher Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 OoC: Skrall should be at full health due to Natural Respite. Maybe it's just because it's anniversary time, but I swear I've gotten this exact OoC 100 times and just wanted to share a laugh. When I was scrolling through 138 I literally froze and was like "damn it, I forgot Skrall's natural respite again!" before remembering it wasn't my quest. That's how automatic my response to that is. Boomingham started reaching that level with his Tome of Affluence. *grumble grumble* Quote
Palathadric Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 There seems to be lots of troubles with dual strike weapons. Still trying to get mine completely figured out. It's too difficult for your kind. You should have sold it to Pretzel when I made the offer. I'm still buying. I am the new authority on Dual-Strike Weapons, I think. Well duel-strike I've got down pat now... I think... after hosting Pretzel. These new classes always spin me for a loop especially the first time I host them. I like rolling for Dragons though, they're nice and simple! What the... I hardly got to use my Dual Staff in your last quest because we were fighting blasted Angels the whole time. I thought the Diamond was the safe element! Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Does that make me, who has been using a Dual strike weapon since #42, the old authority on them? Quote

Endgame Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Wait, so Lind not only bagged an entire rug leading up to the throne, but the bag of holding dimension is run be skeletons? Don't expect to pull out the rug and use it later, because as far as I'm concerned, Lind wouldn't be able to roll it up and take it. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Wait, so Lind not only bagged an entire rug leading up to the throne, but the bag of holding dimension is run be skeletons? Yep, he did. I've been reading 8-Bit Theater, and suddenly realized that my quota of "taking everything that's not nailed down" has been sadly below grade. Also, yes it actually is. Don't expect to pull out the rug and use it later, because as far as I'm concerned, Lind wouldn't be able to roll it up and take it. No worries - it's going into a museum. (You'll see...)*Okay, technically, the talking part was artistic license... **Or really, really smart undead... Quote
Endgame Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Click the "prepare for battle" header to get the music for this battle, 138ers. It's time for the final battle versus Vorpalis! ...After a whole month of questing. Quote
Endgame Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Lethauros was a glass cannon. Vorpalis is the heavy artillery. Quote
Flipz Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 What is it with QMs ignoring the SP of Heroes with low SP already? Like, Hoke and Purpearl and Arthur have really high SP, so it makes sense to throw in a "ignores SP" once in a while, but I don't think the 138 party has 15 SP combined between all of them. (There was a similar scenario in another Quest not too long ago, but I can't remember now when and where it was--in other words, Endgame, I'm not just picking on you specifically, it's a trend. ) Quote
Endgame Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) 15 is an odd way of typing 36. They have more defense than you think. Edited August 11, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Lethauros was a glass cannon. Vorpalis is the heavy artillery. Thank you, thank you, thank you for not making everything Immune to Sudden Death. :cry_happy:Also, good music choice. Quote
Endgame Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) I think Vorpalis is the only thing in the entire quest with even partial immunity to SD. God dammit... don't think I don't see what you're trying to do, Kinto! Edited August 12, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 If this is to be Karie's last Witch outing, I want it to be memorable! Quote
Endgame Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) If this is to be Karie's last Witch outing, I want it to be memorable! Before you ask, no, Vorpalis cannot detonate fog that is on his own body. (Kinda want to see Karie try to bite off Vorpalis's head, though...) Edited August 12, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Zepher Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Death Roar: With an earth shattering roar, Vorpalis reduces two random heroes to 1. Oh my god Vorpalis can mash two heroes into only one hideous creature?? That's crazy! Quote
