Pyrovisionary Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) I'm thinking I might close it. I'm glad everyone's having fun, but the idea was to get an actual sampling of which Houses have the most Hero supporters, while we wait for Sandy to get his computer fixed... Either one of us has learned how to open multiple tabs or 6 (Lizard) people are conspiring against us On the other hand maybe we've learned that the retirement home really is the best house. Flipz Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I think we're learning some important info from the poll. For example, no one seems to actually like the Hinckwells or the Guild of Invision, they just want access to the Overpowered Singer and Quirky Money - Creator classes. Fun fact, the Halloween Anthology this year isn't from Kinto and fellow QMs, it's from Player!Kinto as Karie to the QMs hosting her. (I jest, I jest, I'm just re-reading CAT and seeing again how hideously OP Minstrels used to be. ) Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) Either one of us has learned how to open multiple tabs or 6 (Lizard) people are conspiring against us It's apparently the second, if the site's security features function properly. I set it on "high" security, and limited poll selections to a single vote per person. I suppose someone might have continually dumped cookies or something, but that seems like an excessive amount of work for a pra nk/joke/etc...One obvious problem with the single vote system was that it limits players who have two characters to a single vote, but all such characters are new enough I decided it wasn't worth screwing up the results. That one worked real well. One of the mods needs to reset pra nk back to reading pra nk... Edited August 17, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote

(I jest, I jest, I'm just re-reading CAT and seeing again how hideously OP Minstrels used to be. ) Even when I'm not running the event, I'm running the event it seems. In the same vain as Minstrel's being the best class, on a scale of one to ten, one being "go back to the drawing board" and ten being "plz nerf now", how effective is Minstrel!Karie's build? Quote
Endgame Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) Even when I'm not running the event, I'm running the event it seems. Minstrels terrify me... They're hard to balance for as a QM, and seem very very boring to play as. If Sorrow (somehow) went Minstrel, I feel as if hed end up choosing the best song for the battle and just playing it nonstop. Edited August 17, 2015 by Endgame Quote

I may get there late, but I'm always the life of the party. Seriously though, I enjoy playing support. Tanking and combat are fun, but enjoy being the person that makes sure everyone else is still tanking and being awesome. So in layman's terms: me being awesome is making everyone else in the group even more awesome. Quote

So in layman's terms: me being awesome is making everyone else in the group even more awesome. You can only obtain true awesomeness as a Minstrel by doing a sick guitar solo, and then matching its quality with a sick triangle solo. A triangle/cowbell would be a pretty decent joke item for a Minstrel, actually... *scribble scribble* Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Everyone in favor of a sudden attack in #137 by the Vampyre Kowman of the Apokolipse, raise your hands! Quote
Asphalt Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Now picture Vindsval going Minstrel and raging into battle wielding a cowbell. Quote

UsernameMDM Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Are there currently any non-class restricted artefacts that change a MISS to another roll? Quote
K-Nut Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I think the Marksman's Monocle (at least Benji's from #116) rerolls misses. Quote
Flipz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I'm considering one for future plans, but it would be soulbound and limited by weapon wielding restrictions as a drawback. Quote

Flipz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 *Runs numbers* Hmm... Surprisingly, adding more Heroes to the party actually makes a fair chunk of my planning a lot easier. Only thing is, it does mean I'd have to make another loot redistribution pass. Again. Quote
Endgame Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 You plan your loot? Beyond big artifacts I just wing it. Quote

Flipz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Uhh...yeah. Well, at least for anything I plan to create from scratch (since I'd prefer for my loot to be linked to/flow naturally from the story and characters on the Quest). I generally tend to endorse a "you want it, you fight it first) approach, which means I have to set at least the base concept for a piece of loot ahead of time (though I will wing things like WP/SP to suit the party composition and level). Sandy Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Good news! I'll get my computer back tomorrow after work. Expect updates then! Quote
