Cutcobra Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Can we join factions that we had reputation with but lost it? And can I join the Marketplace since I can be an artisan? Quote
Mencot Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Thanks Sandy for clearing a new things up. But it seems one can't be neutral in all this? Keliim really doesn't give a 'beep' in that. He just wanna get ride of two very powerful demons and get back home and help some innocent people at the same time... Ofcourse he hasn't the power and knowledge to do that right now, so he will need some help. :tounge: Edited September 4, 2015 by Mencot Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 This isn't a singular event, but rather a major change in the game, so there will be no new characters introduced. You cannot choose sides until you've gained reputation with a faction. And even then, you might not want to lock down into a side until you've explored your options. In other words, you will keep playing the game as you have been before this. So...it sounds like we're basically just signing up for a side, then, since this isn't an event? There will be certain perks in joining a side, though, even though you will be locked out of the other factions (except Wolfgang, they're willing to take anyone). But more about that in a few weeks. Perks are nice. Perks are good. But it seems one can't be neutral in all this? swils Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 It seems like this: I don't know the nature of the event, but (speaking for myself here ) even a tiny glimpse would be better than a two week agonizing wait. is coming full-circle back to "tell us everything about the event now, rather than when it's ready and underway" Seriously, people. Patience is a virtue. Quote
Sandy Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 So...it sounds like we're basically just signing up for a side, then, since this isn't an event? Have patience, please. There will be new stuff to do after joining a side. But it seems one can't be neutral in all this? You can remain neutral by not choosing a side. Nothing will change for Keliim in that case. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Have patience, please. There will be new stuff to do after joining a side. Sorry, that was rude of me. Edited September 4, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote

Dragonfire Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 You cannot choose sides until you've gained reputation with a faction. No fair So what do we do then? Quote
Flipz Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 ...Hmm... All right, then, just to be clear: even if we have reputation with the Houses, we are not required to pick a side, yes? Because as a permanent, game-changing thing, I'm not going to just jump on one side if it's going to lock me down for two whole years, not without a significant amount of thought and planning, at least. Ooooh, getting really excited for this . Can't wait to see wait this all holds! I hope our characters aren't automatically siding with the factions they have most reputation with, because ironically Eric has most reputation with the factions he actually resents . From what you said, I take it you can join any faction you've gained reputation with . Like I said, can't wait until it is all unveiled. I'm loving all the mystery and speculation . Quote
Palathadric Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Can we join factions that we had reputation with but lost it? And can I join the Marketplace since I can be an artisan? I kiss you. Artisans rule the world! And if anyone dares to oppose us, we'll just close down the marketplace for some time, until they die from withdrawals. Quote
Flipz Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Where's a bunch of wizard-priests when you need them? Methinks that the continent of Spesialia/Fenario could do with a good sinking. Quote
Endgame Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Where's a bunch of wizard-priests when you need them? Methinks that the continent of Spesialia/Fenario could do with a good sinking. Because there's totally not a lightning dragon that gets pissed when that happens, of course. Quote

I don't understand why he doesn't sink the place himself; where does he get off complaining about Eubric when there's a continent of literal facists who are actively engaged in subjugating another race! Who says he isn't watching?... (me!) Hey, human affairs are human affairs, not his place to go messing with free will or anything. It's when they, say, wage war that might suck in other continents, or unleash demons, that he raises an eyebrow. You gotta admit, Eubric is like an atomic bomb just waiting to go off. Quote

Then if any of his claims are even remotely true he's the worst omnipotent dragon lord ever, because two continents have been consumed by demons and the High Kingdoms were nearly razed to the ground. Hey, he never claimed he was omnipotent. I figured that being able to see the ripples/effects of your actions hundreds of years into the future would make almost anyone cautious of all of their actions/warp their worldview. He kinda has a quest with him as a central character though, and that'l be covered there. Edited September 4, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 - "Highly improbable. My balance is exceptional despite my ridiculous attire." En Sabah Nur looked at his golem with mouth agape, dumbfounded that it had spoken out of turn. No coin in my pocket and now insubordination?! With fists clenched Nur looked towards the ceiling and silently screamed at the direction his life had taken. Woosah. Compose yourself. Nur attempted to engage his diplomatic charm. "Well I could make ammends for this 'accident' with a shiny Medal of Glory (Allows the wearer to gain triple experience from battles, Accessory) for yourself and 3 Dwarven Rums (Can be given to Dwarven Miners to make them friendly) to help your boss and coworkers laugh off the incident, hmmm?" You gave him a MoG? *huh* *huh* *oh2* For something worth only 200 gold?Dude, those things are one per hero... Quote

Flipz Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Knowing Nur, he probably only picked one up in the first place with the express intention of somehow destroying it. Quote

Kintobor Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Sorry, no update tonight, considering I'm on my phone and don't have access to my laptop, or a computer at the moment. That and I spent the day in Toronto at FanExpo, and I'm going back tomorrow means I doubt I'll update tomorrow. I'll try nonetheless. Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 And they're highly over-rated if you're not trying to fly past levels. Yeah, never saw a need to rush to the 'end'. Get there then disappear like Brickdoctor? No thx. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Yeah, never saw a need to rush to the 'end'. Get there then disappear like Brickdoctor? No thx. It was mostly just the trading away such a valuable item for only 200 gold that shocked me. Quote
