Okay, so I'm now officially not feeling the after-effects of two days at FanExpo, I have gotten some much deserved rest, and everything is now going to continue, 137ers. This should be the last of the delays. We'll be continuing immediately! :sweet:

Lethauros was Ancestral, Vorpalis was Ancestral, Immortalis is Origin (and all of them are too old to be Elders. :laugh: )

For the numbers I'm looking at, should Immortalis be faced, he'd have roughly 30,000 HP, so... Prepare thyselves. :tongue:

How many favours do the Sewer Wolves owe heroes now? If we had killed them back then, they wouldn't be up to their no good and I wouldn't have that accursed Wolfgang rep which can only improve after this quest. :facepalm:

I really love the Sewer Wolves in truth, though. They are probably the awesomest team of Wolfgangers we've seen as of yet. :sweet:

Yeah, my first concept for a second Diana Quest was going to involve crossing paths with the Sewer Wolves, but Pie and I never quite managed to figure out a concept that would work. :blush:

So, what's going to happen if #135 fails? Is there going to be a third quest to kill Baba? Or will she get down-graded to near-final/final boss in the Clash of Houses?

Time will tell. Speculating isn't really getting us anywhere, and we have a few weeks to wait

Also, future item drop suggestion for QMs:

Scroll of Disillusionment: 50/50 chance of revealing a party member's true identity. 1/6 chance, rolled individually, of causing the "Depressed" effect on the caster and the receiver.
Depressed: 1/6 chance of failing to act in a battle round unless remedied.

Sounds a lot like Asleep and Deep Sleep. Also, why bother with the 50/50? It's an item that'd be used outside of battle, and would be better suited as a tool, or better yet player ingenuity and cleverness.

If embued in an artifact or shield, the Scroll of Disillusion only grants immunity against Depressed, not Disillusionment.

The idea is that the person acts like they're "Depressed" - they're probably going to act each round, but there's a chance the Depression will briefly overwhelm them.

Parania, of course. If it's 100%, then there's too much certainty. But if there's only a 50% chance of a reveal... :devil:

That's the point - two rolls will probably reveal any traitors. Probably...

But what if both rolls failed? :look: :look: :look: :look: How do we know!?!?! :wacko::look::wacko::look: :look: Will a third reveal them as a traitor? Or will that roll be a fail also?!

It builds on the Mafia "Paranoia" angle Sandy's introducing with #135. Calling the effect "Depressed" is a play on the "Disillusionment" part of the name - if you see the "real you," you'd become disillusioned from the mental picture you have of yourself - and predictably feel depressed as a result. Plus, having everyone suspect you of being a traitor isn't exactly an ego boost...

Well, you could use it for interviewing crowds of people to find a traitor, etc., etc...

It's nearly the same level of utility as a Trickster's Mask of the Generic Fantasy Race. It's not always useful. But there are definitely situations where it could be useful.

Trickster masks affect the wearer's appearance. The proposed scroll reveals the target's allegiance, which is a mental thing. They're very different.

True. I meant their utility is similar.

Most of the time, you don't need to hide. But sometimes you do. Most of the time, you don't need to figure out alliances. But sometimes you do. Not having a 100% chance of reveal keeps up the excitement.

"Did we get everyone? Or did we get some bad rolls? That guy still looks suspicious - should we cast him again?"

"No, I'm burning too much ether."

"But he's got a goatee!"

"FINE."

"He's clean."

"Thank you.
