Asphalt Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Those are pretty nice sir. I am also curious about what the Wolfgang thread will show. But I am still dying for some JP rep. Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Nice pictures, and even better loot. Also, Flipz: fi oyu lleary htikn rfo a cnodse thta Zpheer lwil tle oyu fof saye, o'uyer imsatnke. Edited September 25, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Zepher Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 The battles are really intense, though. At this point, I'd be happy if the rest of the Quest was nothing but cryptic anagrams. Be careful what you wish for. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I'll take some Ancient Amber please!!! Quote
Flipz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I'll take some Ancient Amber please!!! Oh, so is this the part in 141 where the party devolves into PvP? It's a Flipz Quest, so I was wondering where the PvP would show up. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) I'll take some Ancient Amber please!!! Everyone wants some Ancient Amber. Someone should host a quest that offers a lot of extremely rare drops at a store, but they can only buy them with tokens dropped from extremely dangerous monsters...and even if all of the monsters are defeated, there are only a few tokens to go around... Hmm... Edited September 25, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote

Hmm... ...you mean like the Fields of Glory? The Back Alley Party The dog yips as Althior points at him. "Arf arf, yip!" Shouldn't both Althior and Throlar be able to understand the dog, because Animal Talk and Gossolalia? Quote
K-Nut Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Shouldn't both Althior and Throlar be able to understand the dog, because Animal Talk and Gossolalia? I actually prefer it this way. I've said it before, but I don't interpret glossolalia as being fluent in every language. I see it as Althior has to make a conscience effort to make connection and understand the dog. To me, it feels less cheap, even if it is convoluted. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 ...you mean like the Fields of Glory? ...I don't suppose there might be Amber in the Fields? Drat it, I should have signed up for them...But then my build would have been even more off-kilter... Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Buy Grimwald's SP-piercing broom. Observe as I cry myself to sleep at night. Where is Grimwald? Quote
Flipz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Where is Grimwald? He's inactive, but technically in the Hall. Today may be a bit rough, folks; I'll try to get a UQ update out, but it may be delayed. Tomorrow will be even more busy, so expect another late update if I can get one out at all. Quote
Palathadric Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Buy Grimwald's SP-piercing broom. Observe as I cry myself to sleep at night. Not taking into account the part where Pretzel already was a step ahead and purchased said broomstick. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Warlen Melimane Power Bonus: 0 19 19 Power...19 Power... And I was right there when they dropped... Quote
Kintobor Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 My name is Kintobor, and the Vorpalis Purgers (and random Crits) are fair and balanced. My favourite class is the Minstrel. Seriously though, it encourages a team to not use the Heroes Cocktail if they want the benefits of the item on a particular player. That and damage and special damage is still being rolled on the party. Its a powerful, but fair item that has benefits in long battles that don't involved juiced up heroes. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 19 Power...19 Power... [/indent] And I was right there when they dropped... Not really sure it's so great. You have to rely on your party taking Damage & Special Damage to benefit. That rolled too many times, especially if Special Damage causes AoE, just makes me say 'Eh, meh'. Quote
Flipz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 These are also long battles with a large party, which helps increase the odds of multiple Damage/Special Damage rolls. Also if it weren't for Erik and William's high SP to let them actually live through the D/SD, the party would be in a lot more trouble, balancing out the advantage pretty squarely. Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 And people said Voraplis gear was not as good as Lethauros gear. Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 The general reception to it was "meh" compared to Lethauros gear, but I think it's proven that even in death that Vorpalis is the btter brother. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Loot Distribution: Terry: Ancient Amber "Everyone fine with this?" Queue loud flurry of dissenting opinions... Quote
Flipz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 The Vorpalis stuff was never "meh", just "meh" for me personally thanks to my existing build. It was clear from the start that if someone managed to put together all six pieces, they'd be damn near unstoppable; Warlen's only drawing attention because he's demonstrating that just two of them together are still formidable. Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Warlen should track down and buy the Netherwings and the Conquerors (especially since Jinniupher is selling hers. ) He could pulverise basically anything, as soon as he had the slots needed. Actually, for an Aoe attacker like Warlen who can do ludicrous amounts of damage in one spellspin, the Conquerors could easily give him +10 or so per battle. Edited September 25, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Flipz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 The Conquerors really only work well in conjunction with the Purgers; the Purgers give you the initial boost to kill stuff, and the Conquerors then reward you for those kills by upping your Power to kill more stuff. Quote

Myrddyn Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Bellerai Fire-Stomach Round Two >Hoke v. Bellerai - Critical Hit/Critical Hit ([([44*2]+2+53)/2]-29=43, -1 SP) Torc v. Leg - Shield (([40*4]+53)/2=107 Damage) (53*2=106 Damage All Foes, Bellerai and Tail Immune) I think Flipz is talking about the Critical/Jump Hit rolled by Hoke, and Zepher is talking about the Shield/High Assault rolled by Torc. Today may be a bit rough, folks; I'll try to get a UQ update out, but it may be delayed. Tomorrow will be even more busy, so expect another late update if I can get one out at all. Yeah no worries real life comes first. Quote
