Pyrovisionary Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 The Witcher 3 should provide some "Greatsword wielding white haired guy" inspiration Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I'm hoping to get that too. Ditto. No Who, but I got Dimensions and Big Bang Theory. It's brill. Would've liked more Doctors, but that's easy enough to remedy for most of them. All in all, 9/10. Quote
Khorne Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 The Witcher 3 should provide some "Greatsword wielding white haired guy" inspiration The Witcher 3 is amazing! I love it. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 The Witcher 3 is amazing! I love it. Geralt reminds me of Eric somewhat, as does Uhtred from the last kingdom Quote
Khorne Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Geralt reminds me of Eric somewhat, as does Uhtred from the last kingdom I don't really see much of a resemblance between Eric and Geralt, but I definitely saw some resemblance character-wise betwen him and Uhtred from The Last Kingdom. Both are thick-headed and arrogant, but Eric is more malicious and backstabbing. I saw the first five episodes, I think. Good show . I like it more than I did Vikings, even though that was an okay show as well. The Last Kingdom's characters are way more interesting. I just loved Skorpa. That devious, backstabbing pirate-y Viking . Britta is also a favorite of mine. Also, a lot of characters will probably show similarities to Eric, especially characters from Viking stories or (Early) Medieval stuff. Eric is an amalgam of many such characters I've been exposed to . Quote
Dragonfire Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 It's brill. Would've liked more Doctors, but that's easy enough to remedy for most of them. All in all, 9/10. I did get it, and loved it! Plus I modded a third Dalek and Doctors #9 and #10 to join them Quote
Zepher Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Happy holidays y'all! I'll probably remain pretty busy until tomorrow but I hope everyone is equally busy with equally good company! Quote
Kintobor Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Okay, so apologies for not having updates out. I forgot my laptop at my folk's place and just got it back. Both quests will continues tomorrow. Quote
Zepher Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Back in business, baby! Updates incoming! Quote
Flipz Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I love how we're on a magical island unmoored from time itself, with some kind of major intrigue and lore and people and Very Important Things, and yet the entire party, to the last man, has been all "well, that's nice. NOW LET'S GO SHOPPING!" xD ...also, from now on, I'm imagining Zeus talking like Soos. Just because. xD Quote
Endgame Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 What else are heroes supposed to do? Have interest in resolving the plot? Quote

NOW LET'S GO SHOPPING!" xD ...also, from now on, I'm imagining Zeus talking like Soos. Just because. xD It's kind of hard to justify a response that is both logical from the PC's point of view and able to advance the plot/dialogue when they have literally no idea of what is going on. I as a player can see where Zepher is going with the time-space mechanics (thanks modern media) but Hybros and I'm sure the others don't even know where to begin except to just take everything with a grain of salt and believe. There's not much room for disbelief unless we want to stall the quest for a month in the process of playing our PCs trying to wrap their heads around it. To clarify, that's not a criticism, I'm just commenting on the predicament. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Don't worry, my...one constituents, I have not abandoned the political race, but am leaping right back into it. Tomorrow morning. Until then...a couple of pretty renders. Everyone's favorite good demon, and a certain rapidly rising mage*. I was sad Dyric didn't get in the final render as much as I would have liked - I liked the way he turned out. (Also, no, Guts and Warlen's heads aren't the same in the final render, but Guts's 'render' head, looked too frowny close up, so I changed it for this one.) *Who might do well to consider that a certain party might do more to advance his career than his current choice...Just sayin'...** **Since Arthur's left Heroica, there's an empty slot on the King's Council...Eh, just talk to Lind. Or Z-Mail him. You won't regret it. Quote
Chromeknight Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 The King of Eubric stuff finishes at the end of the month right? As in a couple of days? Zeph (and khorne's) posts are tagged after Q130. But I'm guessing 130 won't be out by then? What will happen to those (and the posts following) voting for them? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 The King of Eubric stuff finishes at the end of the month right? What will happen to those (and the posts following) voting for them? Your quest status doesn't matter - you can join a faction, participate in faction discussion, and vote for your candidate at any time. Quote
Chromeknight Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Thank you, yes, I know that. The question is, are those posts going to count, even though those who posted them posted them with an "after 130" tag? Sandy seems to have counted some of them. Does that me we can react to them without screwing up continuity? Quote

Sandy Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 The King of Eubric stuff finishes at the end of the month right? As in a couple of days? I am actually thinking about postponing the end of the voting, because people seem to be just getting in on the ride and I'd like as many people as possible to join and vote. I'll keep you posted. Does that me we can react to them without screwing up continuity? What continuity?! Has this game ever had one? The events in Salmanda take place in one week in the early summer, so the party has had plenty of "time" to get back to Eubric before Grogmas. If you want to keep the continuity in check. Quote

Sandy's response is how I imagined things to be. In Heroica time, Salmanda takes place over three or so days during Summer, so Eric and the others have made it back already to Eubric. I just didn't feel like writing a letter from Salmanda to announce Eric's bid for King, because that's just not his style. A letter doesn't have enough flair . Like Lind said, you're free to reference Eric's bid in the Sungold thread and the Hall thread. It's only the people who are on #130 who can't reference it, 'cause they're all still in Salmanda and the announcement has yet to come . Quote
samurai-turtle Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Everyone's favorite good demon, and a certain rapidly rising mage*. Is that spouse to be "The Demon Germ"? What are you using for his face? (I was just using a "Ninjago" Stone Demon head.) And where is his legs? Quote
