Sandy Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 I'm still exhausted from the New Year's celebrations which got a little out of hand, so I'llget back to you after a good night's sleep. Quote
Flipz Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I'm also hoping for some kind of Wolf Followers recruitment event because getting any amount of Wolfgang reputation has always been a big pain. You want to see more Quests handing out Wolfgang rep, help me build my sets. Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) I was about to say that joining the Wolfgang should have meant Nur lost his rep, but apparently Wolf King's Followers don't lose their rep? I thought it was public knowledge, how are the houses not pissed? Welp, Nur just voted for someone he's never met. Doesn't matter, still tied with Guts. EDIT: Nope, counted Na'im's vote twice, it seems? Edited January 1, 2016 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Apologies for the lack of updates. I still have stuff going on. I'm seeing Star Wars tonight, so updates will roll out tomorrow. After that, I should be in the clear. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I was about to say that joining the Wolfgang should have meant Nur lost his rep, but apparently Wolf King's Followers don't lose their rep? I thought it was public knowledge, how are the houses not pissed? I was about to point that out myself, but apparently... ~ The character's reputation with other Houses is not affected. However, they cannot join the Sungold Alliance or the Crescent Union as long as they belong to the Wolf King's Followers. That seems kind of unbalanced... Quote

EDIT: Nope, counted Na'im's vote twice, it seems? Wait is the event finished then? I thought it only ended when Sandy closed the topics. If it is, that kinda sucks...Guts' faction got so close to making king Guts a reality! Quote
Endgame Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I do find the fact that you can flipflop between Wolfking and House Union with no consequences kinda broken, but meh. Quote
Asphalt Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Yeah, just keep bragging about all the rep you have. The shall be no rep revolution I tell you. Plebeians Unite, bring down the false king. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I thought you couldn't swap factions at all. Quote
swils Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 When you join a house-aligned faction, you lose all rep with the opposing faction's houses. If you leave one of the house-aligned factions, you lose all rep with that faction's houses. Joining Wolfgang doesn't affect your rep with the houses. So you could go Wolfgang -> Crescent/Sungold, but it's very unlikely that you could go Crescent <-> Sungold, as you would have next to no rep remaining. Similarly, you couldn't go Crescent/Sungold -> Wolfgang -> Crescent/Sungold, as, again, no rep left. Quote
Endgame Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Yeah, jumping from one house union to the other is impossible, but you can change from Wolfgang to Crescent/Sungold as much as you like. Quote
Flipz Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 The Ji Pei don't have an army, that's why they've had to hire Heroes so much... Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 The Ji Pei don't have an army, that's why they've had to hire Heroes so much... ...Then how the heck do they have an empire?! Quote
Endgame Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 ...Then how the heck do they have an empire?! They come form an empire. Xu, which is basically run on a dynasty. The Ji Pei family are just scientists, with only a few of them having training from Xu. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Wouldn't it make more sense if everyone that at one point had unlocked an expert class kept it? Rather than doing it like this? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 They come form an empire. Xu, which is basically run on a dynasty. The Ji Pei family are just scientists, with only a few of them having training from Xu. Ah. That makes more sense.Still, though - the Ji Pei could in theory call on Xu resources. Quote
swils Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 but you can change from Wolfgang to Crescent/Sungold as much as you like. How? You lose all rep with the associated houses when you leave their faction. Quote
Endgame Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 How? You lose all rep with the associated houses when you leave their faction. From Crescent to Sungold, yes. There's no rep penalty from going to Wolfgang to one of the House Unions, though, so you can hop Wolfgang>Crescent>Wolfgang>Crescent>Wolfgang>Crescent etc. or Wolfgang>Sungold>Wolfgang>Sungold>Wolfgang>Sungold etc. as much as you please. Quote
swils Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 ~ If at any point the character wants to quit the Crescent Union, they will lose all reputation among the three Houses in it as well. Quote
Endgame Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Huh, you're right... I was mistaken. Sorry about that. Which makes it even weirder why joining the Wolfgang, whose sworn enemies are the house (and vice/versa) won't lock you out of the other Unions... Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Several more hours of tiring debate followed, with the candidate for a Republic steadfastly refusing to abandon his dream of a Free Eubric, and the voting closed. Unfortunately, due to a clerical error that would be discussed heatedly for the next hundred years, the Republic candidate's personal two votes were - 'accidentally', by the clerk, it was suggested - filed under Guts Holla, causing that candidate's victory. Particular emphasis on 'tiring' - right now, due to personal life, I am just worn out. Good luck, Guts. But for point of reference, you barely won. There were points yesterday, behind-the-scenes, where I was within two votes of beating the 13-vote Ji Pei! Quote
The Legonater Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 There were points yesterday, behind-the-scenes, where I was within two votes of beating the 13-vote Ji Pei! ...what on earth does that mean? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 ...what on earth does that mean? That stuff about "mighty roar of the people" wasn't just me spouting rhetoric... Quote
