K-Nut Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Yeah. It's been a real bloodbath. I was absolutley mortified for a second, there, untill I realised all three survivors had a Pheonix Essance on hand. God. I don't see any way you guys can win this. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Phenoix Smoke Tesni is going to down more than one strong ale when she gets back to the hall... Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) God. I don't see any way you guys can win this. I know, but hopefully our troops will have killed lots of them and we can win and save the girl for Haldor. When he gets back he is going to need some serious alcohol and Jess to restore him. Zepher Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 There's supposed to be some wear and tear on the heroes. Sorry, guys, these battles are (near) impossible to win, I understand. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 There's supposed to be some wear and tear on the heroes. Sorry, guys, these battles are (near) impossible to win, I understand. Well, we can play these last two rounds now ok Quote
The Legonater Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 There's supposed to be some wear and tear on the heroes. Sorry, guys, these battles are (near) impossible to win, I understand. No, it's been fun! Incredibly difficult, but fun Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 No, it's been fun! Incredibly difficult, but fun I second this, nothing like a good challenge Zepher! Just so long as our army kills plenty of their soldiers we will be fine. Vonnetate better be helping... Quote
Zepher Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I didn't update Hans and Felton's health, actually, so I'll assume you use the Phoenix Smoke at the end of this round. Make any changes to your plan now, if you'd like. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 God. I don't see any way you guys can win this. Actually, if Felton passes Tensi the pheonix smoke this round and she sticks to the back row, she could pull off a nur with rather high probability due to her shield and increased blocking power by attacking from the back row, provided, that Zepher doesn't send out higher level troops to foil the stratagy Quote
Palathadric Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 There's supposed to be some wear and tear on the heroes. Sorry, guys, these battles are (near) impossible to win, I understand. Perhaps I shouldn't have signed up for a quest so eagerly. I'd prefer to wait it out. Although, if money is involved... Quote

Most Quests aren't like Quest #19. Quest #19 has a lot of high-level Heroes, so that is probably why there are such difficult battles. Quote
Zepher Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 And it's a war. Wren is ALL about screwing the heroes, and reminding them that while they may be awesome (or think that they're awesome) they are still only one good figure in a corrupted world. Quote

Difficult This is murder. But seriously, this is how a real world would be and we should have expected no less. Realistically, no 6 heroes could defeat 50 troops on their own, they would simply be overwelmed, unless of course one of them uses a certain strategy Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Difficult This is murder. Murder, schmurder, it's a massacre! Quote

K-Nut Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Murder, schmurder, it's a massacre! Hey! Dak isn't a pinkish fleshie any more! And I think you copied me with the mind wipe thing... I'm honored! Quote

Besides, these battles are better than anagrams. I actually think battles involving massed troops are a good idea, and I plan to include at least one in a future quest. I'll be using slightly different battle mechanics to make the battle more strategy-oriented, though. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Hey! Dak isn't a pinkish fleshie any more! And I think you copied me with the mind wipe thing... Wait! When did Althior get mind-wiped? Tell me, pwease, I want to watch read it over and over again! Actually, a lot of the bits and bobs of the story of the boy floating in midair ( ) were based on a) Dak's vision in Quest #13 b) De'kra losing his memory in Quest #4 c) Eric's vision in Quest #15 when he was KO'd. So see, no basis on Althior at all! Edited February 8, 2012 by Darth Nihilus Quote

But I'm sure your mechanics will out do mine. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I actually miss the anagrams which was part of why I signed up. But variety is good, good job in trying something different Zepher with the large battles, though I agree with Brickdoctor on maybe using some more strategy Quote

Bricksandparts Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 The special used is determined by die roll (50% for each). 50%+50%+50%=150% ??? Quote
JimBee Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Hah, Eric has such a partner in the form of Hybros. *cough*together-in-every-quest*cough* Well, apparently we're not that tough, since both Hybros and Eric got KO'd in our latest battle . Yeah, I'm hoping to do something with Eric and Hybros' relationship, considering the introvert that Hybros is, maybe he'll open up a little to someone like Eric. The only other people he's really interacted with are De'kra and, to a lesser extent, Boomingham. That is, provided they're both conscious often enough to talk to each other. Flipz, what do you mean by a partnership between an Assassin and a Berserker? What for? Also, I might as well ask for your opinion on where Hybros would go... Quote
