Scubacarrot Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 He would have been in the fight as an ally, but he and Guts couldn't get along! Bah, knowing you, on our side he would have had 5 health and attack with a slightly sharp stick. Quote
Sandy Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Sorry, I have to postpone my next quest again, to the end of this month. I have a week-long trip to Scotland coming up in a few weeks, too, so there's no point starting it before that. Quote
Endgame Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Random thought: how much do people actually know about the quests Heroica has pinned up on the board? It's been shown that just about anyone can waltz in, and I imagine that sometimes the poster may tell someone else and word may get out, but I find it kind of novel that the townsfolk of Eubric are always kinda clueless to what's going on beneath their noses. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Without any Kind of communications to the masses, it's conceivable that the general public knows very little of what's going on outside of the city. Even into the early 1900s very few people knew much of what happened outside of their own hometown Quote
Palathadric Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Bah, knowing you, on our side he would have had 5 health and attack with a slightly sharp stick. He also wouldn't follow instruction so he may or may not decide to stick them with the pointy end. Quote

Well there is a newspaper, so I guess it would depend upon how many and how far out their correspondents go. Quote

Kintobor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I wonder if Karie and Henry recognize each other: http://www.eurobrick...00#entry1724101 Karie's made note of it, but Henry hasn't said anything, which is good, because Karie and Henry didn't leave on very good terms. In fact, I don't think anybody did that quest. Quote
Endgame Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 That might have been the first time I actually rolled a successful deflected damage? Quote

Kintobor Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 All of the quests I'm running will update tomorrow. I've unfortunately had something unexpected pop up and wasn't able to photograph the sets I wanted to. Quote
Zepher Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I'm running out of bosses to throw at the Astral Defense Party because they have cut through all their old ones in only seven rounds so far. Tell me balancing isn't harder now-a-days. Quote

Zepher Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 You've actually been through six, you just went through "Round Five" twice because of my mistake. And I'll run a seventh round for you tomorrow! I'm sorry, I've just been as busy as I thought I'd be, so this is what's working for me now. Should be able to improve the pace again after the weekend. Quote

No worries, I just didn't want to make the poor defense party have to fight a bunch of extra bosses if our party was a little behind. Quote
Mencot Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Current Sign-Ups for the Fields of Glory Skelly (1) (Skeleton_) Ezeran Yavarr (10) (MysticModulus) Kid Reedson (1) (dum) Toral Waruelf (8) (Alfadas) Hunken Silvertoss (1) (Bounty Beast) Did I miss anyone? Sign-ups will close Tomorrow (thursday) at 12:00 noon EST. I know there isn´t much in the quest area right now but are those three actually ready to go to the FOG? I would have a story ready in my head for a small, beginners quest but I don´t really have time to build and run much right now. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Anyone can do the fields. There are a few other new characters not in a quest if they want to sign up. Quote
K-Nut Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Anyone can do the fields. There are a few other new characters not in a quest if they want to sign up. True, but weren't the Fields re-designed to be more of a mid-level thing? Quote
CMP Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 OoC: You know, it's funny, because I did see that Endgame ran it that way and was trying to look around to make sure I was doing it right, but I can find nothing in either your build or the Marauder description that would make it AoE. Could you point me at that? Not trying to contradict you, just really can't figure it out! It's not AoE at all. All Marauder attacks only affect the target(s), including the Shield. Quote

True, but weren't the Fields re-designed to be more of a mid-level thing? Anyone can sign up, but prior to around Level 15 most Heroes just don't have the damage output to chew through the enemies' HP pools before getting KO'd themselves, and they generally don't have enough healing/restoration capability before that point, either. Asphalt Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Well, I am going to give them a chance to show what they can do. Quote
Endgame Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 It's not AoE at all. All Marauder attacks only affect the target(s), including the Shield. I must've misinterpreted "each target" as AoE, then? And I guess Scuba must've too? Something has gotten really lost in translation here, as I don't think I was the first one to roll Guts' shield. I apologize if I just botched your battle, Zepher - I misread, and I thought I would be corrected otherwise. Quote
CMP Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I must've misinterpreted "each target" as AoE, then? And I guess Scuba must've too? Right. Marauders can target up to two enemies. 'Each target' refers to both of those. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 You'd think at some point during that first battle I'd have caught on that my Shield rolls were oddly powerful. Quote
