KotZ Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Can confirm. *Source: am the only Party Leader who's Fields' Party's run was ended via TPKO. Who else was on that run? Quote
Flipz Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Who else was on that run? Grimwald and Darksten, IIRC. Since Grimwald was the only one with elemental attacks, he was the only one actually dishing out decent damage, so the enemies were wearing them down a lot every battle. We really do need a few more "newbie" Quests in the Hall, there's been a ton of Quests aimed at higher-level Heroes and continuing storylines and nothing new and off-the-cuff. (...this coming from the QM with not one but two higher-level/continuing storyline Quests in the works. ) Quote
Palathadric Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 And everyone at the Crescent Union can be thankful they didn't elect you for king. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 And everyone at the Crescent Union can be thankful they didn't elect you for king. Says the guy that betrayed* his entire party, resulting in an even bigger TPKO. *Okay, okay, via mind-control, close enough... Quote
Zepher Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 You'd think at some point during that first battle I'd have caught on that my Shield rolls were oddly powerful. Yeah, sorry, I saw that too and barely thought on it. Should have paid better attention myself as well. What's done is done. Quote
Comrade Commander Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) Grimwald and Darksten, IIRC. Since Grimwald was the only one with elemental attacks, he was the only one actually dishing out decent damage, so the enemies were wearing them down a lot every battle. I distinctly remember Darksten standing his own alongside Grimwald, and a certain Munchkin constantly hiding and/or having to retrieve his weapons all the time ;) haha Either way, I didn't know I was in the history books for that quest! MysticModulus Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Even if it will be a short run I'm sure we all will learn something from it. That being said I'll admit that I was hoping for some higher level comrades joining in... Quote
Flipz Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Jeez, Sandy, you wanted us to fight Raijin when we were 10+ Levels lower with worse rolls, less SP, and no way to remove the enemies' positive effects, on top of all the other guards?! I am suddenly even more glad we left her to die the first time. Quote
Palathadric Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) Says the guy that betrayed* his entire party, resulting in an even bigger TPKO. Pretzel never voted for himself to become king. Does anyone have any low-level quests that are soon to come out? I don't think the Fields particularly suit Petaldan, but neither of my characters have quested in a while, Of course, that could be due to Pretzel's removing his signature from "Judgement Day." JimBee Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 OoC: Is this a Consumable, or an Accessory, or...? I call first dibs, either way.. Last time I was cool with writing this kind of thing off as in-character but seeing as it's now clearly OOC let me say that it doesn't (and shouldn't) work like that. It's one thing to express your interest in a piece of loot, even better if it's IC. But just because you're the first to post doesn't mean you get to claim it. I'm sure Kinto would be happy to consider your interest and divide the loot accordingly but I personally find the way you communicate that as off-putting and detracting from the fun of the game. Endgame Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Mistakes happen. As Loot is basically this game's core reward, though, it usually helps to defer to the party leader first and shuffle around later. All I'll say is that, if you anyone "equips" it, I certainly hope they actually dye their hair. Just carrying the bottle is acceptable, I guess, but a bit of a cop-out. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Newbies, take note of #147, that is how you write an awesome entrance. Quote
Endgame Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Nah, the heroes from Quest 1 did the exact same type of thing. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Would it be inaccurate to refer to Charon as Immortalis's Herald? Quote
Endgame Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Would it be inaccurate to refer to Charon as Immortalis's Herald? He doesn't really care for any title. Charon's Charon. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 He doesn't really care for any title. Charon's Charon. ...That actually makes sense, when you think about it. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 That not everyone bears these huge elaborate titles, and some guys just like doing their job? "A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon." The way he swooped in was putting me in mind of the Silver Surfer, with Immortalis as a sort of benevolent Galactus... Well, as benevolent as a reality-warping Father of all Dragons can be. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 You know, I'm starting to get the impression Lind kinda likes this dragon guy. It's part of his backstory. Suppose you're into physics, and suddenly, during the course of your normal work routine, you get to work alongside Stephen Hawking. Same idea here... Quote
