Technically, the quest was just to get the four artifacts, so you've had a quest complete for almost 2 months now.

...oh yeah, Guffington actually specifically stated that in Hope's office after Hoke confronted him, said we'd be getting some kind of additional reward and everything. Forgot about that part.

You get Old God Guffington's beard hair, +1 to all stats.

Are the sign-ups for 148 being extended because you're still preparing, Sandy, or because there are only three heroes signed up? I think 137 and 139 are just about wrapping up if you need more high-leveled heroes.

Indeed

Wow, #149 sure looks promising. Love stories with the guild! I'll hopefully be able to sign up depending on how long our FoG-stretch will be. Ezeran wasn't acing his game the last battle...

If any single Hero decides to leave the Fields between battles, the whole party goes back to the Hall; if you want to sign up for this new Quest, now is the time to do it.

The hall doesn't have to be accurate with earlier pictures. Maybe a new MOC, a new room in the Hall. It could be called the party room, and we could host all kinds of games there. I will try to make my own, but if anyone else finishes before me, you can have it.

Well they sure aren't The Wanderer's. :sweet: or are they? No, no they aren't.

Hey, there was a bunch of those no-name grey angels just training. They could belong to anybody, once upon a time!

And there's a whole bunch of those guys, the six you've seen are just the notable ones...

Yeah, maybe. But it's not really fun to see everyone (including myself) fall around you. That's why I'm going to give the Fields another go when I'm more experienced.

OoC: Can't find my introduction post... So, no clue where I said I came from... Found it, just says a few weeks travel on foot North from here... Doesn't make it much better.

Perhaps Torald is from the Sheep Tribe?

Bit of both, actually.

The latest setback is that there was a water leak in my apartment building during my trip. None of my stuff got wet, but the ceiling did, and now there's a big dryblower and plastic covers in my LEGO room, preventing me from really building anything... :hmpf_bad:

EDIT: I'm afraid I have to postpone the quest once more. I'm deeply sorry, but the odds are against me hosting for the time being.

Does anyone know where I can find the description for those Black Knight Gloves? They basically allow Mortal Hits for any class. I might've dreamed them up but I could've sworn I saw them somewhere.

EDIT: Found them in the Grogmas thread. Keliim just needs to update his inventory.

Gauntlets of Recklessness (HITs become MORTAL HITs, adding lost health to the attack power; suitable to barbarians; handwear.)

Loving the Visuals on Pipes already WBD.

Well I can't take credit for those, they're just rehashes of images from 34. Not sure if anyone's considered this, but you could almost run an entire quest without ever building a single set, because there are so many quests you can pull pictures from if you know where to look.

That's an interesting point. I had a quest in the works a while back that took place in Eubric and mainly recycled pictures.

But where's the fun in that?

Let's get something clear: I really, really enjoyed this Quest; the vast majority of my complaints with it are going to fall under "too much of a good thing". That said, I do have a few critiques, so please bear in mind that despite them I really did enjoy this adventure. :classic:

First of all, just to get it out of the way: pacing. Incredibly frustrating? Yes, but it was totally out of Zeph's control, so let's move on.

...okay, I guess I can do better than that. This isn't just an issue we had on 139, it's an issue we've been having game-wide: updates in Heroica have been incredibly slow across ALL Quests, and it is definitely causing a major hit to game quality. Battles taking 24 hours per Round? That's cool, it gives plenty of time for players to respond and strategize (IF they respond and strategize--more on that later), and gives QMs plenty of time to manage the game's increasingly tough and complicated battles. What's not cool is regular conversations lasting weeks and months at a time. One thing that's incredibly frustrating for me as a player is when I can't maintain a solid grasp on my own character's thoughts and emotional state, resulting in my character behaving even more inconsistently than usual (i.e. changing moods and tones and viewpoints incredibly quickly mid-conversation). A lot of this comes from delays in conversation, making it a lot easier to lose track of what's already happened and what has and hasn't been said amidst the business of real life Even one extra roleplaying update in a day would have helped a lot in both overall pacing and in helping us keep things fresh in our minds, and this criticism applies to pretty much every single Quest in the game from 130 onward, with the sole exception of Endgame's Quests.

That said, I'm also really disappointed in the playerbase not picking up the slack when it comes to roleplaying and interaction. One post per 24 hours is a bare minimum, and a good QM can keep a Quest rolling all right with once-a-day updates so long as they play their cards right; not so much for PCs. PCs live and die on activity and interaction, and not being active and invested in the Quest and your fellow players is doing an active disservice to everyone present. At the very least, if you know you're going to be inactive, warn everyone, but at least try to take some initiative. This is a roleplaying game, and yet there's precious little roleplaying going on anymore; during the week it often feels like we have four copies of the Fields of Glory running, and that's incredibly disappointing to me. :sceptic:

Well put, Flipz, well put.

Also, #awesomeness:

but it's Vindsval, so that's really a given. :laugh::thumbup:

Sweet design, Asphalt - he looks even better than in the prelims! :sweet::thumbup:
