Endgame Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 ...why did I think Skrall was already in the Hall? Fire the retcon cannon! Quote
Flipz Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Fire the retcon cannon! I could have sworn I'd seen WBD post as him recently...maybe the retcon cannon needs to start further back than just my post? On the plus side, once he gets back Miirym can talk to him, and Arthur can give Thalion his Scroll. Quote
Flipz Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I am really committed to the whole "adults use Z-mail like email, kids use Z-mail like texting" metaphor. Quote
Endgame Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 We need to define who has Z-mail and who doesn't. Badly. Quote
Chromeknight Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) ...why did I think Skrall was already in the Hall? He will be soon. #144 just carked it. Also. FoG run anyone (any level)? Short run. Goal is 2 xp. Edited April 9, 2016 by Chromeknight Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 It's all Arthur can do to suppress a groan at the mention of Lind. ...What'd Lind do to Arthur? Quote
Flipz Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 We need to define who has Z-mail and who doesn't. Badly. To continue the cell phone metaphor, I imagine Arthur's on the Family Plan. I am having way too much fun with this. ...What'd Lind do to Arthur? Lind wasn't exactly the best Questmate in 103, and then on 139 Arthur learned he beat up someone Arthur now considers a close friend. Generally, hurting people Arthur cares about is a really quick way to gain Infamy with sour a relationship with Arthur. Quote
StickFig Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 At the very least, can Ethereal Gems in Artifacts not be limited? I don't see how it'd be all that different than all the other Artifacts players have built up over the years that are immune to a bunch of elements and a bunch of effects as well. As for the gems, I did say that they could be merged with weapons! It seems a little much to me though, to have that powerful of a weapon, so I think I will rule that only one etherial gem may be merged per weapon. I think that will balance things out without totally nuking the advantages of the gems. Actually, as far as I can tell, Zepher hasn't said that they would be able to merge into Artifacts at all! Lind Whisperer Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Lind wasn't exactly the best Questmate in 103...Ah. Sorry about that... and then on 139 Arthur learned he beat up someone Arthur now considers a close friend. Generally, hurting people Arthur cares about is a really quick way to gain Infamy with sour a relationship with Arthur. Roger, I remember that...It'll be interesting to see how that all plays out in RP, since Lind didn't actually even so much as touch Matthias. If you look back at the fight, Matthias actually knocked himself out, before they had even started fighting each other. (They had gotten involved in a dispute, and were on different sides, and had focused fighting on the two arguing people, instead of on each other. Matthias and...Siercon, I think it was? got some really bad rolls, and knocked themselves out. I was a little surprised, really, back when Matthias had claimed that Lind had beaten him up - which wasn't the case at all. Memory is subjective, I suppose... ) Quote
CMP Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Also. FoG run anyone (any level)? Short run. Goal is 2 xp. We've got a group of three going, could always use more. I'd like to go at least until level 20 (six battles) myself. Need those damn artifact slots. Quote

Rider Raider Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) I wonder if Sandy is planning anything special for the 5 year anniversary in August. Maybe another card game, or a new trilogy? Edited April 9, 2016 by Rider Raider Quote

Zepher Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Yeah I think we're unfortunately seeing a major QM burn out. Giving the current roster of QMs a breather would be a good idea. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) What we really need is some new blood in the QMing department, the veterans: Endgame, Sandy, Kintober, and Zepher could probably use a break. CMP and I are getting back into it after a brief respite and it's been nice to see KingoftheZempk jumping on board but we're going to need some new QM's if we want to keep it going. If anyone is ever interested in hosting there's quite a knowlege base of what makes a good quest in the QM Lounge. Edited April 9, 2016 by Waterbrick Down Quote

There's only four or five QMs doing quests consistently at a time...which seems like plenty, but there's quite a few heroes now. Quote

CMP Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 If anyone is having trouble using physical bricks, remember LDD is a thing. And also keep in mind it's not as nearly as intimidating as it seems. The fact that I've successfully fooled people into thinking I have any sort of ability building sets is proof. I use the same two hundred bricks for most sets and have to immediately dismantle them so I can build something else. For the most part there's literally nothing beyond what you're seeing in pictures, and a lot of them amount to one to two walls with some decorations and minifigs. It's really not as nearly as difficult as some prospective QMs seem to think. Having something nice to look at is cool, but you certainly don't have to have every brick ever made to build decent sets. I blame Sandy for this misconception. Quote

Never, ever build more than one wall for a set, unless you seriously need to. Agreed. This is one of my first sets and its just a little bigger than the picture and it continues to be one of my favorite sets as it explains so much about a single character without having to be extraordinarily large.
